South Africa's innings ended with just 115 runs. South Africa lost by 111 runs. It was a huge defeat in T20 matches. South Africa's bowlers lost due to poor performance. A huge target of 227 runs was much more difficult to win. And seeing the target so big, the South African batsmen were under a lot of pressure. And due to being under pressure South African batsmen cannot bat well. However, the South African bowlers will have to bowl better in the coming matches if they want to win. However, I think Australia will win all the matches in the series if they maintain the form Australia is in now.

Their bowling attack consisted of two experienced pacers (Marco Jansen & Lungi Ngidi), as well as two emerging players (Gerald Coetzee & Lizaad Williams). Spin attack was led by the talented Tabraiz Shamsi. But none of these bowlers could secure an economy rate of less than 10 runs per over in yesterday's match as Mitchell Marsh and Tim David went berserk. Big guys coming out to bat with a tree in a hand and boundaries are not even touching 60-65 meters. No wonder bowlers get thrashed everywhere nowadays.

Fans do love these hitting but there should be a requirement of a minimum 70-meter boundary in T-20 as you want some sort of competition between bat and ball.

I think cricket is definitely becoming a little too much favourable to the batting side. The bowlers are just guinea pigs. And I also think that this is a big reason why we don't have legendary bowlers like we had in the past anymore.  Even if a Bowler emerges in the scene, a few days later, he is somehow losing his form. Or he is getting injured.

On the other hand, in the past, the batsmen had to do a lot of running between the wickets to actually score more runs.  but nowadays, they just have to stand still and swing the bat very hard. That is simply unfair In my opinion.

Not little but way too much as it's a batters game. We have a fair amount of good bowlers in the current generation so this can't be an excuse IMO.

Small boundaries play a big role, also players are becoming fit and strong in comparison to the previous generation.

This trend of having smaller boundaries have negatively impacted the pace bowlers who constantly bowl at speeds of around 150 mph. Examples are Dale Steyn and Mitchell Starc. Despite performing well in test cricket, these players have a poor record in T20 format, because of smaller boundaries that are used for that format. And in test cricket, most of the times they stick with standard boundaries, so it is not so much biased towards the batsmen. Once in a while we get to watch wonderful performances from some of the quality bowlers.

Out of the four Australians making their debut (Aaron Hardie, Matthew Short, Spencer Johnson and Tanveer Sangha), everyone performed well making significant contributions. Johnson and Sangha shared 5 wickets between them. And while batting, Hardie and Short made significant contributions. On the other hand, the two South African debutants (Gerald Coetzee and Dewald Brevis) disappointed their fans. A lot was expected from Brevis, but he got out for just 5 runs. And Coetzee was expensive when he opened the bowling.

Nonetheless, there's still some player shuffling to be done before finalizing the World Cup squads. New Zealand has players like Boult, Williamson, Latham, and a few others who will be joining and adding strength to the team. This particular match doesn't really reflect how they'll perform in ODIs. Anyway, Kiwis need to analyze and come back stronger in the upcoming T20 matches.

One could make an argument for small grounds as organizers don't have any choice and sometimes you have to pull up boundaries for the safety of players. On the other hand, big grounds virtually have no excuses, organizers deliberately pull up boundaries for more action. I noticed this in the last Pak vs Nep ODI too.

If you have a good bowling attack and quality batsmens who like to play aggressive then you can beat any team in short format and this is what Eng exactly doing now.

New Zealand was looking so weak yesterday but still 3 games are up to head and newzealand should prepare well and shouldn't allow Eng team to win it easily. I am not seeing any senior experience player in NZ this time. I think NZ are looking to give chances to new players.

Yesterday's game between England and New Zealand seemed to have lost rhythm in the New Zealand team. They are completely broken. They could not resist in any way against the rival England. New Zealand scored only 139 runs which is not a big score for England team. Against England team, it is almost difficult for New Zealand to win the match unless the score is above 180. Everyone except Glenn Phillips and Finn Allen in the New Zealand team had very low scores which resulted in a win for England. But if England's bowling performance is good then New Zealand will never be able to bat well, so if they improve their game to win the match then it will be possible for New Zealand team to win.
