Most of the bounty hunters do not get payment despite their hard working and some gets a little with shit token. Can we prevent it? Just an idea.
What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?
For launching a project, the project owner or developer should have some money to promote the project. Say for example- they have to escrow a minimum of 40% of the bounty allocation in term of usd or btc. Only then we can prevent scam ico and bounty hunter will get their money. Can we start following this rule?
I really second your idea but the most difficult thing is, how do you get all bounty hunters to adhere to this, there is no way all bounty hunters can be united to make a decision on this and hence the only way to avoid scam projects is by thorough research on the project and the team behind the project. |

This is a tactical way to a fair game for bounty hunters. If such rule is passed and implemented, every bounty hunter will not experience a waste of time and other resources for promoting a particular project. However, this is not a method for preventing scam projects. Scam projects can only be reduced when the checks are ran on projects and their team members in order to obtain proof of doc before allowing them to be hosted on forums. |

Yes I like your idea to stop promoting scam projects. The trend is anybody can launch crypto projects just by showing whitepaper, team and other things. Finance is most essential to launch any project. But most of crypto projects do not have their personal funds to promote their projects. All depends on fundraising, which may lead to a scam project.

You have a good suggestion to stop the unfunded and shit projects, this will surely help the supporters especially the bounty hunters to get what they deserved from their works.
I am just curious why it was not being implemented or if it was implemented already. I am just curious why other are still supporting the other projects that pops up from nowhere just to fund their shit projects.

Bounty hunters are not in the postion to demand rules therefore its all up to us if we will join their projects or not. We just make sure that the project is legit and their products are feasible to the masses so that it could attract more people to invest making the hunters time and effort will not be wasted.

yup! you are right. all depends on us, if we can choose a legitimate project, then we will not promote the project scam. but we all know, at the moment it is very difficult to distinguish them. we need a lot of time to do research to get a good project. but even though we've done a lot of research, sometimes we also can still be trapped and accidentally promote project scams. |

This is a great idea and a good tep to prevent promoting scam projects but one very important thing is, since bounty hunting is not regulated and each and everyone has his/her own choice to participate in every bounty of their choice which will make it difficult to deal with since no matter what some hunters will take part in bounties which offer tokens. |

I think there is no solution to make a scam project not to promote it as long as there are people who needs money and makes money in promoting some projects even if in the end it is a scam, people will continue doing this kind of earning profits. There are still projects that are no scams , when a bounty hunter is lucky to participate and promote a certain project that is not scam in the end they can make and earn more profits from it. |

Unfortunately it is impossible in this stage i think if market will be like the wild west. You know during the bubble people behaviour is crazy and full emotional. So scammers abuse the situation perfectly. Until won't be penalties for financial piramid, the scammers will be exist. By the way with smart contract it is easy create fake startup and ico in paradise taxed then close "company" without any communication for silly investors.

This is the current status of bounty hunters where there is no much to be done in setting rules for the bounty programs. This is also the reason why OP made a suggestion that bounty hunters can unite and come to such an agreement where bounty programs will offer a certain percentage of their payment in tradable coins like BTC, ETH, LTC and the remaining percentage in the native coin. This is a good strategy that will help bounty hunters not be feel cheated even if the bounty program does not succeed. |

preventing scam projects using escrow is indeed quite effective. even more so if you pay using usd, or bitcoin that is stored using escrow. it's just that, some projects provide some% of tokens from the tokens they sell to find other users. in addition, the use of tokens as gifts can also make the project more economical. many reasons why they pay using the tokens they make. however, such things are often used to scam others.
I totally agree if they pay using bitcoin or usdt. projects like that get support faster than projects that pay with their tokens.

if you are still promoting ico, ieo, sto or something like that it will never be possible because for bounties held by them always have their own drama, for example if their project does not reach sales targets then the bounty rewards will be cut maybe 2-5x, and some are instead their project was quite successful (almost close to hardcap) but they did lock the bounty rewards for months and here bad luck began because when the locking time was up the tokens had no value anymore.

it is not a final decision, it all depends on the attitude of the developer and manager who holds the campaign. we cannot determine the project that we are participating in is a scam project, if we know that, I'm sure no one will want to promote it. especially bounty managers with big names, when we are deceived the actual project scams are lucky people who succeeded in deceiving us. |

i don't think internet job it's a hard work category. like now, even we know most of ICO are scam , we still continue because its a easiest way to get money. What if we everybody stop to promote a project which offers only token?

basicaly, yes. but sometimes ,"although" bounty hunters know exactly that bounty is a scam, they won't stop it,as long the manager still active and promising they will get payment, it will be fine. and the next chapter begins, when sale ends,and get the market, a massive sale begins,job is done, and go to next bounty. or for bad end,project abandoned,and bounty hunter get free erc 20 dust. The OP idea is pretty good, at least there is a guarantee for the reward that has been prepared for the bounty campaign. Some good projects have used this strategy to increase the interest of bounty hunters, usually using escrow services. With a bounty model like that, the requirements are usually quite difficult, the rules are not the same as most other bounties, for example in one week must get at least 1 merit (to signcamp) naturally eliminating "inferior" accounts. And bounties like that are very rare.
Inevitably we have to take the risk of being hit by a scam, because cryptocurrency is very difficult to predict, even in-depth analysis sometimes misses.

The bounty purpose is to pay hunters or benefit on their cause. Why does it sound like its the projects fault that hunters are not well compensated? Are you nuts, dont do bounty, no one force everyone here to do it. Stop campaigning so was youre complained is. If you want a good payment scheme join sigcamp that pays btc or eth. If you cant accept the reality here, then leave its not like cryptocommunity will be dead if there is no hunters around.

Can we stopped bounty hunters from promoting projects that they like to promote, we do not have an organization of bounty hunters here, and what if the majority of members stopped promoting and only promote projects that pays bitcoin and eth on escrow and only a few have done so, and that project turn out to be profitable, then they will miss that project and they may leave the organization. |

To stop promoting a fake or scam projects means the bounty hunter must first be skilled in identifying fake or scam projects. If a bounty hunter cannot distinguish a scam project from original project, there is no way the journey towards the halting of scam project promotion will be successful. Hence, bounty hunters are entreated to do their own research before choosing which bounty program to promote.

Most of the bounty hunters are not as wise as you, even they don't read the bounty rules properly. So, I don't know the majority of the hunters will follow this rule or not. I think Bitcointalk and other bounty platforms should be do something to make it real! They want to collect millions of USD when they don't have even 500K USD! To prevent these scams, bounty hunter needs to be Equal!
