Friend, you just spoke my mind. I am not really concerned about the position. It can be in the 2nd place and yet the price might not be encouraging. Seeing the price moving up now is a form of relief, but not yet fully relieved, until it get passed the previous ATH.
Well, a progressive growth is all i want for this precious gem.

Ethereum is still not showing its worth yet to me, at 120$ price per one is not that huge but I'm a fan of Ethereum and I'm sure when the right time comes ETH will show it's worth ,Ethereum is the best after bitcoin and weak fans are getting tired of it because of declined in price ,well you ain't see nothing yet

Ethereum of course now took 2nd place , but it is difficult to say how long it will be in 2nd place , because ripple is now a very tough competition. and it's hard to say how much will be the Ethereum 2 , but I'm certainly for Ethereum

Market capitalization is meaningless, even if Ripple managed to overtake Ethereum again in the near future, it doesn't mean that Ripple is more successful than other cryptocurrencies below it. You have to know that the reason why Ripple's market cap is too big even it has lower trading volume than other cryptpcurrency's trading volume is because Ripple has billions of circulating supply. And the formula of computing the market cap is circulating supply times the current price (supply*price=marketcap). So for me market cap is not the only basis of which cryptocurrencies are doing good and has more demands. Will not wonder if XRP will overtake Bitcoin in terms of market cap in the future after they release all of its maximum supply but that would be meaningless.

Ok, I just look at cmc and indeed Ethereum is back. Good trading volume though in the last 24 hours, which is a indication that investors are possibly shifting to Ethereum again and pumping it, or they are buying in anticipation of the reported fork.

But remember that we are still in the bear market, so for everyone thinking that this is a continued growth then, just be careful. Of course, there is the potential but unless bitcoin goes on another bull run, altcoins will still suffer at this trend, including Ethereum. So let's see how the price turns out prior the the fork but most importantly after, thats where I'm afraid of, maybe after the fork is done there might be another sell-off to make a quick profit.

It's much better rather than the position of ethereum price in a few days ago. The hype for bitcoin has been giving a good impact to the ethereum support. It could be more if bitcoin got the more hype than ETF rumour.

XRP and ETH competition is quite attractive in trading volume in coinmarket, I see it is very thin compared to their trading volume XRP and ETH, so I wait for HF ETH immediately and see whether ETH will leave the trading volume distance that is different from XRP the following week

Undoubtedly, as for the majority of the community in this market, this news is a very good start for the recovery of coins, but in my opinion it is not necessary to be so happy and hopeful, because this reversal can be only a temporary phenomenon. this is not shocking news, because Ethereum and Ripple often compete to be in second place at coinmarketcap.com .   Yeah, Ethereum and Ripple compete very tight 
I think now Market Cap Ethereum can increase because it's approaching the Ethereum Constantinople Hard Fork event which will be held at the end of this month.
