I just posted a topic on Bitcoin discussion like an hour ago, it is about the 2021 first half abduction in Nigeria. We all know that Nigeria no dey safe like before, abduction is now common and has become job. Boko Haram but now especially bandits and normal kidnappers are kidnaping for ransom, abducting kings no be new thing for Nigeria (Naija) again.  The reason I posted the thread na because of people wey dey go against Bitcoin, but if na fiat, nothing will be said.

You can make your opinion on the thread but I want to ask question here which is more about Nigerian matter which na we Nigerians that can provide valid information about, especially from people that read Nigerian news often. Is there a case in which the ransom demanded for is in Bitcoin? Altcoin? Or totally Naira or other fiat?

Why you no use remitano, or maybe you no won pay withdrawal fee, cus If you buy from remitano, you go still pay blockchain fee to withdraw the bitcoin to your personal wallet or exchange.

Omo, criminal activity na one big business for we country now o. If e easy cef, government for dey collect tax for there hand and e for turn up plenty money. I no think say these bandits and kidnappers dey sophisticated enough to use crypto as their pipeline for operation. Most likely it's done in naira but might not be straight to their bank account to avoid tracing. Also all the kidnapping stories I've been reading on channels tv and the punch, them never mention say kidnappers request for crypto but only make mention of the requested amount in naira. That's as far as their news dey always go. But e go dey interesting to know their exact method for handling funds because most people don dey talk say bitcoin go be tool for this kind of situations so I go like know if true true situations like that exist.

This is not correct in my opinion by centering this on just rich people. If I no go lie you, na even obvious truth, Nigeria is a poor country. No be say Nigeria poor like that, many rich people dey, but the wealth divided by people (people that have the wealth) is low compared to people wey dey suffer.
