Luis Enrique may be developing a new match strategy to win today's match  .

Luis Enriques himself, has already said that the plan is to have more time on the ball. In other words, I don't see the strategy changing much.
Also, Italy play very well without the ball, they just need the right opportunity.

This is perhaps the most anticipated game of this phase.
I believe it will be a very balanced game with few goals. I see Italy with more capacity to win, phase to the performance of Spain. But of course Spain have great players who can really make a difference. If the game goes to extra time, I wouldn't be surprised.

Wanna bet for Italy's win. Because I like the gameplay of Italy in the last few matches. They play very fast and can counterattack. A quick counterattack is very necessary to win against a strong team. Italian players are more experienced compared to Spanish players. However, the Spanish squad is experienced enough. They are capable of overcoming any obstacle. We will actually be able to enjoy a perfect semi-final match. Luis Enrique may be developing a new match strategy to win today's match  .

Italy are on a 31 match winning streak, they havent been beaten since 2018 to
Portugal in the Nations League then

Spain havent convinced in this tournament, to be taken to extra time and penalties
by Croatia and Switzerland is not something either Italy, or England have allowed.
They have a very proactive attacking type of play, Spain will be just passing in front of Italy.

My money is on Italy to win tonight!

Spain hasn't been as convincing, but Spain also isn't a squad like Denmark that has true limits. Spain can improve over the course of a tournament and they have the quality in a semifinal to truly live up to the challenge. It is not like Spain has almost no chance because they played a couple of bad games. I remember when Germany won the world cup they had a few very bad games but were able to switch gears because of the quality in the team. That's what I mean is the same for Spain.

To be honest, I don't like Spain's game with their many passes without moving forward. In the performance of Xavi and Iniesta, this game looked perfect, but now it kills all interest in the game. Therefore, I will be rooting for Italy. Let Italy and Denmark play in the final. There will be more movement, emotion and drama.

It is kinda weird how the state of the football has changed within the last 15 years or so. First Barcelona under Pep guardiola and also the spanish national team completely dominated football for a few years with their Tiki Taka Style. Back then everybody thought that this style of football was pretty much unbeatable.
Afterwards came the era of the extremely high and early pressing of the opponent to get the ball back as soon as possible, which was also good to look at but of course also very risky because even the defenders were positioned so high that one mistake created a big opportunity for the enemy team.
Then in the last world cup of 2018 teams began to play more defensively and cautious again. France perfected that style of football and won the world cup with it but i also have to say that this kind of football is not that interesting to watch, England also plays the same way now.
Surprisingly Italy plays the most offensive football of all remaining teams now.

I think today we will watch a very uncertain and exciting semi-final match in which small details will decide the winner.
Somehow I have a feeling that Italy could win and that they have the advantage, primarily because of the excellent defense, but Spain also has its qualities.
It seems to me that bookmakers also agree with my assessment and mostly give a chance of 55% for the victory of Italy and 45% for the victory of Spain, at least according to what I follow on sports portals.
Whoever scores the first goal will have a big advantage.

I agree with you on that, the team that will score the first goal might be leading the game until the end.
Spain from the group was not even close to the Spain we used to know but now, in the knockout stage every game has its own story.
About Italy, Immobile showed some fatigue during the last game and, to me, he should not be confirmed in the 11. Mancini has got other plans.
Cannot wait to watch the match but I am not betting.

I don't think this is a good strategy for Spain. Playing to draw, to take the game to extra time is very risky.
Spain had to go into extra-time twice in previous matches, creating greater physical strain. Italy has not had so many difficulties, and in turn has less physical wear.

It is a matchday finally!

We are going to see a great game between Italy and Spain in Wembley Stadium. We have one missing player each for both of these teams (Spinazzola (ITA), Sarabia (SPA)). Italy seem to me as one step ahead. They played superbly against Belgium and deserved to eliminate them. They have a really good football discipline. When it comes to Spain, they had big difficulty in eliminating Switzerland. I know that Switzerland eliminated France in the previous round but I'd expect more from Spain.

Still, I think that we will see a close and competitive game. Maybe we can even see extra time and penalty shoot-outs. But at the end, I think that Italy will be victorious and will promote to the final.

If Italy attacks today, I'm sure they will go through. Spain was bad in all parts of the games in which they had to defend and Italy has both enough offensive threat and pressing quality to put the spanish team on the back foot.

Italy will miss Spinazzola though, he was one of their best players in this EURO. Not even sure who'll take his place, probably Emerson.

I'm rooting for Italy - England final, they deserved it the most so far.

From what I could see, Italy is at +130 to +160, while odds for Spain range from +200 to +220 (the same odds are given for draw after regulation time). One interesting thing to note at this point. Italy has so far conceded two goals in this tourmament. One of them was from a penalty kick which was converted in to goal by Belgian star Romelu Lukaku. The only other goal was scored by Saša Kalajdžić of Austria during extra-time.

Dolberg needs to score at least 3 more goals in the remaining two matches to become best striker and I doubt he will make it against England and maybe Spain/Italy.

I don't think that statistics on all games without sorting by the importance/strength of the opponent has any value. In fact, this match has every chance of a goalless draw. Both teams have enough skill to defend themselves and no one will risk in the semi-finals for no particular reason.

The match is likely to be a draw. Italy's defense is very strong. Defenders of spin are also very experienced. Spain has conceded many goals though. However, they followed the attacking strategy so they conceded too many goals. They don’t look like they will play so aggressively against Italy. Both teams will want to not concede goals..

There will be only one winner for the Euro Golden Boot and Ronaldo will win in case of tie because total number of assist will be the tie breaker for it. So in this case, Ronaldo had 1 assist while Schick had none but Sterling could be one of the potential candidate to win as well though considering that he currently has 3 goals and 1 assist with 2 games left to go

Im not a fan of Sterling but I personally think he has the potential to score against Denmark though

with so many difficulties that spain had, the oddsmakers are more optimistic in italy's victory due to its solidity in all games. Italy has good defense and good attack, while Spain seems to be bad at everything.

I haven't been impressed with Spain at all in this tournament, and I believe Italy will win convincingly. I'm going with a 3-0 victory to Italy, which I believe was around 23.0 odds. I don't see Spain scoring, and if they do I only see them nabbing the one goal. While, Italy has been very impressive both in defense, and attack. I can see them either winning 2-0, 2-1, 3-0 or 3-1.

I think the same as you, in this case I would like Ronaldo to win because he is a very complete player, unfortunately they could not advance much, but in terms of technique and as an athlete Ronaldo is very complete.

UEFA, however, have stated that in the event of a tie, assists would determine the winner, and with one to his name, against Germany, Cristiano would edge the award. Both these players can only now be caught by a player representing Denmark, Italy, England or Spain.

I do not know about that. England fans are so hungry most of them were not even born the last time they won a cup so they will want to give everything to get into the final to meet another giant. They already won against Germany (but it was not a favorite) so they are confident.

Italy looks like the one to go through though but you are right I think this has extra time all over it.

I remember your comment about England vs Wales, and how that can be a surprise... 0 - 0 in the end! I believe a surprise for many of us, but not for you!
Except for over 2.5 goals I didn't make any other bets for tonight's game, I will probably bet on Italy to qualify, but after reading your comment I think to place one clear win on Italy!

Slow Death and Welsh have the same prediction 2 - 1, will be interesting to hit the correct score! I will probably place some little bet on this!
