Netherlands loss is big surprise, very disappointing their performance. Czech Republic played very well and deserved to win. Yes, red card was big factor, but even with equal squads Czech were better. After all, Netherlands made 0 shots on target during whole game. Today's game shown again what was said many times already - coach De Boer is weakest part of Netherlands team.
Now all eyes on Belgium - Portugal, I hope this game won't disappoint us!

It's interesting that three teams got a full 9 points from three straight wins in the group stage: Italy, Netherlands, Belgium.

And now we get to the first knockout round... Italy were disappointing and only just got through. Netherlands were very poor, and are out. Will the pattern continue, or are Belgium just too good for that kind of anticlimactic performance?

Yeah after the first round, a lot of people have said that was one of the easiest group and it is the reason why the Netherlands got 9 points.
Today everything is wrong with Netherlands, Malen's getting alone with the goal and lost, De Ligt's red card, Depay's low level, Wijnaldum's lack of attendance at all, and of course the strange change from Frank de Boer with Malen's exit and Promes subbed in.
Neither Promes is a player who can add something big in attack, on the contrary, Malen is currently several stages better, nor is Promes a player who can strengthen the defense and fill the gaps after playing with 10, so it can be said that this change made the Netherlands play with 9 players instead of 10.
On the other hand, the Czechs performed a manly performance And deserved to ascend to the quarter-finals they will be facing Denmark it will be very entrusting to see who will be in the final 4 between them two.

Although success get three points and win all match on group stage is not give guarantee for Netherlands  easy to next stage when faced with Czechs. I think at first half when playing without red card not any chance created by De Jong and friend and Czechs still dominance for attacking time. We finally had the first upset of the KO stages, and I think apart from the red card talking point, fully deserved. Schick has got to be the man of the tournament so far if he takes Czech to the Semis, with a goal of the tourney still surely his (don't argue, that crazy inswinging halfway-line goal was a feat). And he'll deserve every bit of it.

The red card was too costly for the Netherlands to handle it is pity the Czech team who are 45th on FIFA ranking sent the Dutch out of the competition no thanks to defender Matthijs de Ligt for his stupid handball it's also  a pity that Netherlands also missed one-on-one chance earlier although  the Czech played well and followed their game plan they played like a team thus utilizes their numerical strength on the Netherlands it quite an entertaining match.

Anybody fancy a Portugal win here vs Belgium?  Everybody I know who’s a football fan are rooting for Belgium..  I want Belgium but I want to fade Belgium at the same time.  I feel like this is gonna be all Ronaldo,  Prolly 2 - 0, 2 - 1 for Portugal?  Dunno..  But the line is at 2.95.  

So far there has been no attack from each team and maybe it will end in a draw in the first half we'll see how it goes in the second half because most goals are scored in the second half. Overall the game is still balanced Ronaldo and Lukaku haven't done anything a bit boring.

There has to be a change of strategy for Portugal to penetrate the Belgian defense and I would like to see a goal from CR7 against Belgium, Courtois is a good goalkeeper and managed to save a free kick from CR7.

in my opinion the netherlands made a lot of mistakes in this game, they had a chance to score first and wasted, and they were very clear opportunities that would have given the netherlands 2 goals too soon, and see that only 12 minutes were played, the netherlands was pressing but always fail, in a game when that happens, the team that is wasting the opportunity to score a goal always loses the game

As both Belgium and Portugal prefer attacking than defending, this should be a goal-filled match. Belgium are number one in the world and have shown enough in the group stage to be considered favorites against Portugal, although anything can happen (as we have seen with the Dutch). Like you said, Portugal had more chances regardless of Belgium's current lead. Let's see if the Red Devils can hold on to their lead in the second half.

This second half seem really interesting portugal are trying to equalize and the counter attacks of belgium looks dangerous plus de bryune is out for injury but it does not seems to affect their performance because hazard is doing a great job and i think we will see more goals in this second half.

It is still early to say but Belgium are getting closer to a win by one goal just as I expected.    But I would expect a score like 2-1 or 3-2 in a game like this. Belgium have only one shot on goal and it ended up with a goal. Now, Portugal are trying whatever they can to equalize the score. Belgium are just focusing on defending them well and trying to make use of quick counter-attacks.

I don't see Portugal as eager to win as in the game against France. Maybe they can bring the score to 1-1. But still, Belgium can defeat them.

same here, i expect to see another goal from Belgium, and it's the right time to bet on it, im just gonna bet with just 10$, i don't want to go big on it, i am not really sure, @2 is good for another goal to be scored in the game, from either side.

Portugal lost against Belgium. One goal from Thorgan Hazard is enough to bring Belgium to the round of the last 16.

I don't support Portugal, but I wanted them to equalize score - I wanted to see another 30 minutes of this game. End of game was great with drama and no midfield. Portugal were close to score, especially when they hit post. Though, Belgium had chances in transition, but Carrasco failed to give good pass.

I wish we see 30 more minutes, Portugal was unlucky at finishing. Belgium attacks are big mess after de Bruyne comes off. Guerreiro hit the post, Palhinha couldn't finish. This is probably the last Euro cup for most of these players over 35 age. One generation is over. We won't see Pepe and Ronaldo again in Euro Cup. Let's see what Belgium will do in next rounds. If they rely on de Bruyne so heavy like second half of this game then their chances are not good.
