I was so late now in posting this but the fight between Rodriguez and Waterson is just getting started so here it is my late picks for the Current UFC event UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot

Rafael Fiziev (1.64) VS Mateusz Gamrot (2.27)

For this fight, I light Rafael Fiziev's style, and even though Mateusz Gamrot had a wrestling advantage Fiziev has a great takedown defense for sure Fiziev has the power in his strikes even though Mateusz Gamrot's wrestling is initially what striker's weakness and can surely shoot 20 takedowns a fight and the seamless timing in his takedowns but for this fight, Gamrot needs a better set-up with the Striking and if he can not do that against Fiziev then Rafael Fiziev can take him out instantly because Fiziev can hit like a truck and knocks out Gamrot quickly, so my pick is Rafael Fiziev,

Bryce Mitchell (1.48) VS Dan Ige (2.65)

For this fight, I like Bryce Mitchell here and as many know wrestling can control the pure striking fighters this match is surely like that Bryce Mitchell will be constantly shooting takedowns for sure and will aim for a better angle with those and create an opening for his takedowns as well Dan Ige is well rounded and even got a takedown defense but I think it is not enough for Bryce Mitchell so my pick here is Bryce Mitchell,

Marina Rodriguez (1.30) VS Michelle Waterson-Gomez (3.55)

The Rematch that nobody asked for her lost against Virna Jandiroba because Jandiroba wrestled Marina Rodriguez in that fight but for this fight, I really think that this rematch will be the same as their 1st one and Marina Rodriguez has a more solid and can surely pressure Michelle Waterson in this fight so for sure this is going to be the same as their 1st one so I have not much to say so my pick is Marina Rodriguez,

With what happened to Fiziev's knee, he will definitely be inactive for more than a year. He must be the most unlucky person in UFC that whole event. With the knee injury, this is a career-ending injury, he may be able to come back but I doubt he could ever win a title shot.

The fight is very close. Fiziev wasn't throwing volume while Gamrot is close to taking him down every round. Very close that if Fiz didn't have that injury, Gamrot would still win.

In this fight between Jon Jones and Covington, we will see again that Jon Jones is unbeatable.

Is this a mistake? Or do you mean between the Jon Jones vs Miocic and Edwards vs Colvington fights?
I tend to choose as chosen by the bookie. Makachev will defend his title, as will Jon Jones. What made me choose them both is because I really believe in both of their games, especially Jon Jones. No fighter has ever beaten Jon Jones. Even though there is a lot of controversy, statistics are statistics and they are official records in every fighter's report.

What does everybody think about Paddy vs Ferguson in Las Vegas for UFC 296? It seems to me like they’re trying to give Paddy a big name that he can actually beat given that I thought Ferguson already retired. I still think Ferguson will win though. Paddy didn’t look good in his last match and Ferguson is no easy victory.
What I think is that Paddy is one of the most annoying fighter and hope that Ferguson will knock him out in a way that he will bite his tongue. His voice is very annoying.
It true that Paddy Pimblett is quite an annoying fighter with overly high self confidence and expectations that are not easy to achieve some of the things that make him quite the topic of conversation are his ridiculous style of celebration when he wins.
But Panddy has the advantage of being younger so maybe he has the advantage in terms of stamina and is stronger to survive it just that Ferguson is also a fighter who has been one of the UFC stars for quite a long time and he also has quite satisfactory.

Ferguson most phenomenal fight was when he met Justin Gaethje and the fight that was most awaited but failed was Ferguson meeting with Khabib.

The three main cards in the title fight for the UFC next three fights will be quite hot and sensational encounters.

In this card series I see that Islam Makhachev vs Oliveira and Jones vs Miocic are the favorites or the most anticipated because these two main card fights bring together fighters with a million controversies in their history as UFC fighters.
For the time I will make sure to give support and confidence for Makhachev victory and subsequently for Jones in the heavyweight class.
I bet that Oliveira will beat Makhachev, he can do that and what makes me even more confident in this outcome is that Oliveira really itches to beat him.
Jones will always be very interesting because he is in heavyweight, one of the hardest and most brutal weight division and there is no one who can beat him but Gustafsson was near to that result. In this fight between Jon Jones and Covington, we will see again that Jon Jones is unbeatable.
It seems that Makhachev will not be defeated by Oliveira and of course Makhachev is not a fighter who is easily defeated.
Yes, Jones always makes many people look forward to his fights and he is also one of the best heavyweight fighters the UFC has ever had.
There is no doubt about making Jones the top favorite and frontrunner.

-snip-

Brave pick on Waterson.  I know one guy who'll prolly love it.  Where is he?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I think that was me, mate well, I really thought that Michelle Waterson could likely take a victory because her performance in her recent fight was pretty much great but it is clear that Marina Rodriguez is the Better fighter here and My Fighting Kitty didn't stand a chance,

For sure it was a mistake on Synchronice part let's just wait for his explanation towards it for sure there are a great explanation regarding this,

Results for the UFC Fight Night: Fiziev vs. Gamrot

Rafael Fiziev VS Mateusz Gamrot ROUND 2 LEG INJURY - LOST

For sure Rafael Fiziev is winning the fight and if it weren't for that Leg Injury it was a torn ACL Rafael Fiziev would win this fight, and the people don't like Mateusz Gamrot on the way he celebrates that he thinks he is the one that damages the leg of Fiziev, because for sure Rafael Fiziev is pretty much dominant in towards the fight he also got the 1st round for sure it was a win for Rafael Fiziev, and that unlikely injury was because of a recent injury or stress in the way Fiziev was kicking intensely for sure it was not due to Gamrot's defense, the sad part is because of this injury Rafael Fiziev might stay inactive in the UFC for a long time,

Bryce Mitchell VS Dan Ige ROUND 3 DECISION - WIN

For sure Dan Ige's Striking was pretty much solid on Bryce Mitchell but it was a close fight sure either Ige or Mitchell could have won this fight but Bryce Mitchell shot 15 takedowns on Ige and 10 takedowns were defended by Dan Ige, while 5 of it was Successful and for sure this was taken by the judge to consideration as a point for Mitchell, while Bryce Mitchell is donating $5000 USD to Dan Ige for the people that was affected by the wildfire in Hawaii, and both fighters have prayed on the Octagon while Bryce Mitchell if I have heard it correctly, wants Bisping to lead the prayer but Bisping has run away from it,

Marina Rodriguez VS Michelle Waterson-Gomez ROUND 2 KO/TKO - LOST

It was a dominant win for Marina Rodriguez for sure and you can clearly see this on Michelle Waterson's damaged face, for sure even though Watersin trained for this rematch and has an improvement Marina Rodriguez also got an improvement aswell, and you can clearly see this inside the Octagon for sure there is no need for a 3rd match for this because it will just repeat itself and for sure this is the 4th lost of Michelle Waterson for sure she is nearing the end of her career,

Here are the results of my bets for the UFC event right now

Rafael Fiziev (1.64) VS Mateusz Gamrot (2.27) - LOST

Unfortunately, Rafael Fiziev got a leg injury it was a bad leg injury for sure that Mateusz Gamrot got crazy winning this thinking he 100% defeated Fiziev which is the Fool's way of thinking and now he thought he could go on against Charles Oliveira because of this win, he also thought that his defense was the one that damage Rafael Fiziev's leg which is a torn to the ACL which is not related to his defense at all, but not a great fight ending for sure,

Bryce Mitchell (1.48) VS Dan Ige (2.65) - WIN

Pretty much a close fight and it could be a 50/50 fight for sure but because of Mitchell's takedowns pretty much 5 successful takedowns for him which is might be the case why the judges scored like that and it was really great which is at least they are seeing the work with the ground game, and then the flat earther Bryce Mitchell is giving $5000 USD to Dan Ige for the spreading fire tragedy on Hawaii which is a pretty much great thing to do,

Marina Rodriguez (1.30) VS Michelle Waterson-Gomez (3.55) - WIN

Marina Rodriguez from start to finish was really dominant in the fight it was pretty much a one-sided fight for sure and comparing the damage each fighter received in this fight Marina Rodriguez is like there is not a scratch on her face while Michelle Waterson's face looks devastated it was brutally damage by Rodriguez for sure after this fight I think this is the 4th consecutive lost for Waterson she better think on retiring soon because for me I think she is not fitted to fight anymore,

I just saw this on Tapology and I was really man they surely want this kid on the top and against a Legend but for sure 6 consecutive losses fighter and if he loses this fight that is a bigger upset but for sure for me this is something that is not really right because a heavy declining Tony Ferguson that for me really needs to retire,

For sure Paddy Pimblet is younger and has the tenacity to win this fight but in the fight with Jared Gordon he is eating shot after shot, against him, and sure Jared Gordon is not the top fight for sure and he was rocking Paddy Pimblet, and for sure Tony Ferguson is not on the level of Jared Gordon now, in my opinion, Paddy Pimblett is totally aggressive and is not really a calculative striker aswell so for sure against Jared Gordon for me he surely lose that fight but Against Tony Ferguson I am kind of 50/50 here on who's going to win, for sure Paddy Pimblett has the grappling but he doesn't have a proper set up in his wrestling for sure while Tony Ferguson is not the same anymore but against Paddy Pimblett for sure Tony Ferguson has great striking but he can show that in this fight against Paddy Pimblett a 6 consecutive win fighter agaisnt a ^consecutive losing fighter will go toe to toe for sure, and for me even if Ferguson won this fight for me I want to see him retire,

Wow! I really wish to see El Cucuy vs fastfood kid fight. They both like attacking grappling. I really want Tony to get a final win in his career and retire, and to show that Paddy is nothing but pumped UFC project. I would say frankly, I dont like Paddy Cheesy Havent beaten any respectable or top fighter, but acts like in top5 pound for pound Cheesy

I agree with you. It's time for Ferguson to retire. I think a match against Oliveira or Dariush should be his last match. This means that Oliveira and Dariush are two competitive fighters who are on par with Ferguson in his prime. It is very unpleasant to see Ferguson having to face opponents just to increase their ranking.

Sooner or later this has to happe:

Ex-UFC champ Israel Adesanya pleads guilty to drunk driving.

With all those parties he had, and a small stand of alcohol at home, with "I am a star" behaviour it was a matter of time when Izzy would get into troubles. 0.87 ‰ is not just a glass of wine during dinner, it is around 3-4 beers for a man of his weight (if we take a maxim of middleweight 185lb, but he definitely in off-season shape right now, so it is more beer).

Fiz had R1 even though he really didn't throw a lot imho.  And remember it's a 5 round match.  His game plan was prolly to take it easy in the first couple of rounds before going for it beyond R3.  So don't know about Gamrot would still win it.  I mean how sure can anybody be..?

As for the knee, it was prolly a problem he already had during training.  He should have pulled out if his team knew of the injury imo.

Here's the post fight presser.

UFC Fight Night 228:  Post Fight Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FO7vxX2s0Y

And here are the results.

UFC Fight Night 228:  Results

Lightweight:  Mateusz Gamrot def Rafael Fiziev TKO (knee injury)
Featherweight:  Bryce Mitchell def Dan Ige Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Strawweight:  Marina Rodriguez def Michelle Waterson-Gomez   TKO (punches)
Welterweight:  Bryan Battle def AJ Fletcher Submission (rear-naked choke)
Featherweight:  Charles Jourdain def Ricardo Ramos Submission (guillotine choke)
Bantamweight:  Miles Johns def Dan Argueta Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 30–27, 29–28)
Welterweight:  Tim Means def André Fialho   TKO (punches)
Middleweight:  Cody Brundage def Jacob Malkoun   DQ (illegal elbow)
Heavyweight:  Mohammed Usman def Jake Collier Decision (unanimous) (30–27, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Strawweight:  Mizuki Inoue def Hannah Goldy Decision (unanimous) (29–28, 29–28, 29–28)
Women's Bantamweight:  Montserrat Rendon def Tamires Vidal Decision (split) (29–28, 28–29, 28-28)

There were comments I've read that this is how the knee injury started.
Gamrot is planning to fight Charles Oliveira as he said. Given that Dustin and Gaethje recently fought, I think Dana will give him that fight with Charles and then Mackhaev if he wins. Straight up to a title shot.

Unfortunately, Tony is not what he used to be. Meaning Tony is just there to give Paddy a boost. UFC is just shameless in their matchmaking.

I really want Tony to get a final win in his career and retire, and to show that Paddy is nothing but pumped UFC project. I would say frankly, I dont like Paddy Cheesy Havent beaten any respectable or top fighter, but acts like in top5 pound for pound Cheesy

For sure I want to see El Cucuy win this one he really needs a win but please make this his last because Tony Ferguson is not a match against a higher opponent in the time of his career he is not in his prime anymore for sure if he wins this then Patty The Fastfood Pimblett will be put to shame it will be upset for Pimblett as for sure he will be the favorite to win in this fight, and pretty much I would bet for Paddy Pimblett as well but I would like for Tony Fergusson winning this,

-snip-

I agree with you. It's time for Ferguson to retire. I think a match against Oliveira or Dariush should be his last match. This means that Oliveira and Dariush are two competitive fighters who are on par with Ferguson in his prime. It is very unpleasant to see Ferguson having to face opponents just to increase their ranking.

For me, after the Paddy Pimblett fight, I really don't want to see him anymore, but to see him get hurt even further it was enough brutal beating for the Legendary El Cucuy I really think his fans will appreciate it and will understand at the same time Tony Ferguson is not on his prime anymore and for sure all fighters getting into their 40's will likely have the same effect as he does,

This is humiliating to see Israel Adesanya for sure still hasn't moved on with that loss, for sure he is thinking about why he couldn't do a thing against Strickland's defense for sure Alex Pereira has somewhat managed to defeat Strickland but he has a hard time against him, well, I think those are what may be getting in his mind right now for sure there are many questions in his head he likes answers for sure the Difference with the Pereira fight this time he might never come back again,

I also like Tony Ferguson to win this as well before he retires but as long as he gets the win he will not stop fighting much he is a stubborn one to stop what he is doing but for sure he is the only one who can surely know his body well but even though he does know it he is still not stopping, but we fans seeing it on the fight for sure he is not in his right mind right now he might need help on this one he might have an addiction with fighting,

There is a lot of Speculation that it could be that hold on the left leg on Fiziev that he was injured but for sure it was the solid kicks that got it worse or maybe it is the start of that injury, we will never know until we likely hear Rafael Fiziev side for sure, and because I also want to hear his side of the story for sure, on how it happens and what is his thought on this matter, because it was not clear on what part does the injury 1st occur

It was a bad injury. I don't know exactly how it started, but the kick he threw before that injury was very unlucky. In my opinion, I gave the first round and the rest to Fiziev until he got injured. Takedown defenses are very good, maybe he hurt his foot even while defending there, but that last kick was what brought disaster for him. It also needs to be listened to by Fiziev, how long will it take for him to recover? He is an important fighter in the rankings for the division. It seems to me that it is not an injury that will keep him away, I hope not.

The fight is very close. Fiziev wasn't throwing volume while Gamrot is close to taking him down every round. Very close that if Fiz didn't have that injury, Gamrot would still win.

I wouldn't be that pessimistic. We don't know for sure how severe Fiziev's injury really is, but I've seen some experts saying he'll likely be out for 9-12 months. Apparently, he had a similar one back in 2019. I think Tom Aspinall's injury was even worse and he came back looking better than ever.
Gamrot's tactic was to step on the gas in rounds 3-5, so it's a shame the fight ended before it really started. But Gamrot managed to take him down twice (counting the end of the 1st round) and proved he's more than capable of exchanging punches with the best in the division.

Gamrot is planning to fight Charles Oliveira as he said. Given that Dustin and Gaethje recently fought, I think Dana will give him that fight with Charles and then Mackhaev if he wins. Straight up to a title shot.

He called out Oliveira because that's his preferred opponent, but whether he gets that fight and whether Oliveira would take it, that's a big IF.
Dustin & Justin are other possibilities. They recently fought, but so did Gamrot. But I don't think that's likely to happen as Dustin and Gamrot are team mates, and Justin is probably aiming for a title shot.
I've heard some speculation that Gamrot may end up as a backup fighter for Makhachev Vs Oliveira 2, but personally, I doubt that he would sacrifice the post-fight rest and family time to stay in fighting shape for another month.

... we will never know until we likely hear Rafael Fiziev side for sure, and because I also want to hear his side of the story for sure, on how it happens and what is his thought on this matter, because it was not clear on what part does the injury 1st occur

Only Fiziev knows what really happened to his leg, but, if the injury was indeed inflicted by Gamrot, he will never admit that as that would mean he lost fair and square and not by some unfortunate accident.

Well, we can surely speculate on what has happened but for sure Rafael Fiziev really is the one who knows what really happened to his injury for sure a great performance in the 1st round was all for Rafael Fiziev, but in Mateusz Gamrot's recent interview he said that it was a plan to injured Fiziev and he likes it slow so for the 1st round he will let his opponent take it, but he will show his trump card in the later on rounds which is for sure I don't really believe, because for sure it was a unlucky injury for Rafael Fiziev, and for sure it is a long wait for Rafael Fiziev to goes back

Only Fiziev knows what really happened to his leg, but, if the injury was indeed inflicted by Gamrot, he will never admit that as that would mean he lost fair and square and not by some unfortunate accident.

for sure it was a long rest for Rafael Fiziev and that is because of his injury and how bad it really was, and for sure Rafael Fiziev is the only one who can give a clear explanation of what occurred in the fight and because it is hard to believe Mateusz Gamrot's claims for sure but that has happened for sure and no one can control it, but maybe I was feeling a bit hesitant on what has truly happened but Fiziev is surely be gone for a long time for sure,

Sorry if this is off topic. A few days ago I watched the Rodtang vs Superlek match and I was very excited about the match. There's a lot I want to discuss about ONE Championship, or MMA in general. Can anyone give me a link that discusses MMA in general and not just UFC? A thread as active as this UFC thread? Thank You,

This might just be what you mean https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197906.0 which is about the MMA talk - PFL, Bellator, KSW, ONE...

Fans must have been outraged since Superlek won a very controversial KO. Rodtang isn't just fighting in kickboxing, he once fought against Demetrious Johnson and was defeated by a rare naked choke. Demetrious Johnson was once the Goat in UFC actually but also left UFC.
