No event this weekend, and next weekend will be the only event I'll be able to watch for a few weeks. Hopefully, it'll be a good one. I was one fight from earning a decent amount last weekend. That always seems the case though, and the annoying bit was I had by submission or decision for Anthony, and he ended the fight via TKO in the third round. So, it was definitely a close one.

Yeah sucks.  Lol.  At least it's an F1 weekend and I guess it's nice to watch a little bit of the EPL since it's the last set of fixtures of the season.  Can't wait for the next one and really try to get back into it.  The last couple of years I'd try to get into it then get bored three months in.  :/

In case someone is from the country, where free video hosting and torrents are blocked and their have access only to "legal stuff", there are always free fights in good quality from official UFC YouTube channel. Of course people can always find fights on YouTube, but a lot of them are with someone talking on background, creepy viewing angle and etc. That is why I suggest to check official channel for quality  

There's also MMACore for tape study purposes.  Quality isn't really good but it has most of the modern UFC matches available in their site.  Good enough. 

Anybody know why KKF is a slight underdog vs Albazi?  I think the line could flip.

I truly believe that this PFL and Ngannou Collaboration will surely start a ripple in the MMA community no doubt about that, but Dana White will be Dana White knowing him he would likely just ignore all this but that PFL contract will surely be itching on the back of his head, I really think PFL would know about this that it will be the talk of the community but so far I really think this is a good start for a change, and right now because of that itch, Dana White is now promoting a Tyson Fury VS Jon Jones fight it all started with Joe Rogan saying that Jon Jones could beat Tyson Fury on a street fight and the boxing kingpin really doesn't like it at all and yeah that sets up to this statement here is what Dana White has said in the Article, 

I have doubts about how good Tyson Fury is in the UFC, can he be as comfortable in the ring as he is in boxing? I understand that Fury is a self-confident guy, otherwise he could not be a champion, but the UFC is not boxing and Jon Jones is really a very dangerous fighter, I think that Fury will have almost no chance against Jones. Dana White can certainly organize this fight, I have no doubt about it, he gets along well with Fury and if he agrees, then White will organize this fight. But I think that Fury should abandon this idea, I don't know why he needs it.

Probably because Albazis record is better and he is on a series of victories, while KKF lost his previous fight. As well as Albazi has only two UD victories, when KKF's record is full of them So for bookies it does not matter that KKF is higher in rating, because chance that Albazi will do an early finish is higher

^  Yeah but check who KKF has lost to and check who Albazi has won against in his 4 fight win streak in the UFC.  KKF def beats those guys.  The same could not be said if Albazi fought the last 5 guys KKF fought.  Well...  Maybe except for Cody Garbrandt because his chin is shot.    Toughness of schedule and quality of competition matters a lot imho.

I see a very simple outcome of this fight. If this is a boxing fight the winner is going to be Tyson Fury. I am almost 80% sure about that. But if this comes down to MMA, just like Joe Rogan said, "I'm putting all my chips on black"

I doubt Jones will win however. Fury has been in boxing his entire career, the discipline is tougher than in MMA. If its in UFC you can expect Fury to be just a slouch but its boxing.

Well I agree with you we can not compare boxing with MMA because it is all different but if an MMA fighter will be fighting for boxing rules or a boxer will be fighting for the MMA rules the payment could still be the same or the payment for boxing should apply?

Lets start with what is "boxing payment" ? How much boxers get paid? If we put aside champions and those who are famous (like Mayweather), how much a regular boxer earn? I think I have posted here year or years ago, that average boxers payment is more or less equal to average UFC fighter get.
Now lets talk about how much UFC champion and boxing champion get. We all know that UFC champions get "lets say below several millions" probably. A champ like Makhachev, Izzy or Volkan would get a million probably. If we somehow get Chuck Liddell back and he becomes a champ, he would get millions. We all know that boxers get tens millions per fight.

The whole concept of boxing promotion and UFC promotion are different. We get like 1-2 boxing events per year, and around 40 UFC events. The money UFC spent on maintaining all of them are greater than few boxing fights. UFC dont have so much money to pay millions every champ and famous fighter. And boxing has richer sponsors. Who are UFC main sponsors? Reebok? Stake? Bunch of other famous brands. Having Hennessy as a boxing sponsor is greater than all UFC sponsors multiplied by ten. Hennessy, part of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton group. Its owner, Bernard Arnault - richest person in the world; has double more money than Bezos This guy wipes his ass with what UFC champ gets for a fight

The UFC certainly missed a trick here. They could have done something to control the damage.

They could just give every average fighter $100k more added to the contract. But Dana White didn't do that and he even said that if you find somewhere else to go which will pay you more go there. That's what the fighters didn't like. Now they are genuinely searching for somewhere else to go. He could easily give at least $50k more to almost every fighter. That was certainly going to be enough to control the damage. And maybe give your champions $200k more. All the fighters would have stayed in my opinion if he did that.

From UFC news I heard Jan Blachowicz asked for a fight against Alex Pereira and UFC agreed and told him title fight is next if he manages to bear Pereira.
I dont think Blachowicz can beat him, but weight difference could play important role in this fight, and I think this is last chance for Blachowicz to try and get title back again.

They will be the co-main event for UFC 291 Dustin Poirier versus Justin Gaethje on July 29. Alex Pereira will have loads of time to increase that weight back to light heavyweight and I do believe his body is made for that weight class. Sure, Jan Blachowicz will have his chance for a title fight if he wins this match but so does Pereira, and this might be the realizing point for Alex that he is made for this weight instead of going down to middleweight if he ever he win the bout.
I am also rooting for Pereira here to win. I think I might even consider a knockout bet.

First I wanted to comment, that how the hell they gonna fight for BMF title, if that title belongs to Jorge Masvidal, so I went googling to post that fact. But I was surprised to find out that Jorge Masvidal announced that he retired after his lost to Burns in April 8. Am I the only one who has missed the fact that Jorge Masvidal has finished his career? Good for him, he is 38, and had 52 professional fights. IT was a good time to stop.

Hard to realize his announcement was so silent The media did no buzz much about it. That is strange, compared to hype he has got from that Ben Askren knee KO And was also on front label of EA UFC video game Got BMF belt. And silently retired. He wasnt a brilliant fighter, but he was a recognizable figure in UFC

I havent heard anything about JJ and Miocic fight being cancelled, but somewhere I have seen fan posters of Miocic vs Pavlovich.

But I have heard that Aljo and Dana has some issues. Dana is already promoting Aljo vs O'Malley fight in August/September, and all of a sudden Aljo says that this fight might happen only if he has time to recover from injuries. Looks like you are not clear about the offer Dana White provided, he offered Tyson Fury an open contract to fight in the UFC with MMA rules and not a Boxing contract. The fact is Tyson Fury is the greatest Boxer and no one would defeat him in Boxing but when it comes to MMA Jon Jones is the GOAT.

There is a contract stipulation that every PPV must have a title belt on the line and hence they have given interim belt earlier during main event when there was no champion in the main event and now they have given the BMF title for Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Well, I totally agree with your point and you have explained it more clearly, there is a big difference between Boxing and MMA pay and we can not take that out and different sponsorship Boxing have many well know personnel that want to watch for example a Mayweather or a Pacquiao fight, while the MMA there are a ton of events and fights that may share those millions or PPV and ticket sale and every week there will be an event for the UFC or MMA so yeah it will surely cost a lot, with all of this I now have scratch my head thinking if PFL and Ngannou did the right thing,

I surely don't like the idea of this aswell Tyson Fury might unwittingly agree to the situation it all just started on what Joe Rogan has said if Jon Jones and Tyson Fury would lock themselves in a room who would come out unscathed we all know that Rogan is a big supporter for Jon Jones, for sure Tyson Fury is not happen about this statement and so they surely backlash on Social media until the rest is history gaining momentum to the idea for Dana White to get this fight on moving,

Yes, the BMF title is currently vacant, so 2 brutal fighters meet to fight over it. Jorge Masvidal himself has decided to retire some time ago and the news about his decision to retire has become a trending topic because he is one of the great fighters in his class. .
From that fight I have a feeling that Dustin Poirier will win the fight and get the title.
After all, Poirier is a pretty great and brutal fighter so he doesn't hesitate to attack his opponent until he is injured.
I will prepare a sum of money to bet on Poirier's victory.

I would say that both have equal chances to win. Both prefer striking and brawl over tactics and ground game of chess. Both lost have losses against champs (Oliveira and Khabib) and have victories against top fighter (Chandler). On paper, Gaethji recent fights looks better. A victory over Fiziev I value more than a victory over McGregor via doctors stoppage in first round. Last years Fiziev is more dangerous than McGregor. Gaethji is famous for kicks, Poirier is better at boxing. The one who has higher pain threshold wins that fight.

Does not matter if he has black BJJ belt, he does not know how to defend from bjj and wrestling attacks. A traditional title like this well for me it is not really nonexisting but for the traditional UFC fans it could surely mean a lot and the nostalgia that it brought and surely it is because of Jorge Mazdival's dedication to the never give up a thing, and yeah Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will continue on the legacy of that BMF title and whoever wins this will surely get that belt, for you is Dustin Poirier but for me, I like Justin Gaethje, for me, I like a more in-depth in technicality than with just absolute brawling, and I think that Justin Gaethje is the guy,

I agree, this is one cool fight to watch for sure, and just like you I prefer Justin Gaethje more for me he doesn't really into brawling if he could be more technical to the stand-up he could be and those kicks that have a massive advantage over boxing for sure, and I have to watch his fight against Rafael Fiziev it was a banger and it was a war I think I have gone with Rafael Fiziev if my memory is correct, but yeah it was an eye poke that causes Fiziev to fight Gaethje with just one eye, but for sure Justin Gaethje is more compose and collected towards the fight so for me I will surely go with Justin Gaethje,

This is not the first time Gaethji does eye poking. Exactly against Poirier he did same and was deducted one point for that (even though he was TKOed later). But I believe that was really unintentionally. Justin does not look like a kind of guy who uses dirty tricks (line Bones for example) to win. These accidental eyes poker were due to form of UFC gloves. I think every year I raise an attention to that, that UFC gloves are bad, and gloves of Pride era were perfect (as they cover knuckles and fingers greatly).

Comparing boxing to UFC is like comparing basketball's NBA to football. So how much do MMA and boxers receive regularly?

UFC is like Matchroom or Top Rank or PBC or Golden Boy in boxing. The difference is that the UFC is bigger than these 4 biggest boxing promotions combined. So why is it that they are less valued when Matchroom is paying Canelo and Joshua around $20 to $50 million per fight? Simple, the UFC makes PPV events to earn money while in boxing PPVs are made to pay fighters they cannot afford. The UFC takes nearly all of the PPV revenues while superstars in boxing will get 70% to even 100% of the revenues in their PPVs. The same reason why HBO left boxing is that PPVs involve a lot of money guarantees which is risky if it flops while it only takes a little to zero of the revenue.

Only 2 events per year in boxing? This weekend there are 5 championship fights in separate events. DAZN, ESPN, and Showtime have weekly events most of the time. So since the UFC has its own weekly events as well, does it mean it is losing money to many of its events which is why it needs to save money from their other events? Every event is supposed to earn revenue otherwise why stage the event? The UFC is earning a billion each year, does this sounds like it is having a hard time maintaining the purse of its fighters?

Fury may sound dumb at times and I would gladly love to see him getting choked cold by Jon. But the reality is Fury is always careful and greedy when it comes to money and his undefeated record. And Jon actually has no say if he wants to earn big bucks against Fury. Fury probably earned around a hundred million dollars in his last 3 fights, why would he allow Dana and Jon to dictate the terms? Belly was probably laughing and mocking after seeing and hearing Dana's statement.
