Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval - LOST

Yair Rodriguez vs. Brian Ortega - LOST

The event was awful, I still can't believe such bad fights of Moreno and Rodriguez, I was sure at least one of them would win, but to see both of them losing at home was just hilarious. And the worst part is, they were at home, so, the people in the arena got really mad after they lost, they literally started fighting in the stands. https://twitter.com/MMAVillain/status/1761954949897019524

I can't say it is a bad fight, it was a huge fight and it was absolutely crazy bro.
Both of the fighters did not want to give up till the last moment.

Honestly, the fight could have gone either way in my opinion. I do not think I am qualified enough to say that the judges made a mistake. But for me, the fight was very even. Both of them were very active in this fight and both of them used every tool available in their arsenal.

Moreno did miss some really powerful punches in the fourth round if I am not wrong.
If he did connect them, the fight could have been over then and there.

if you look at the scorecard their score are very closed, i can't say it was a bad fight anymore...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If I am not mistaken, then Muhammad Mokaev is a popular guy also, whos fights are cool to watch. Wasnt he the one who endured nasty knee submission till round ended, later finished his opponent, and later suffered injured joints for a long time ? I think he was that one. And I remember that he is undefeated. Another Dagi Cheesy Look at this guys beard. Who he wants to fool with UK citizenship? Cheesy

Found it ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW0w49SK3rk

I haven't watched the fight yet but I have seen some doctors review the results of not tapping when his knee was like that he refuses to tap, he is one tough Dagestan, and seeing him I am really excited to see him fight again, and on an interview, he has said that he is not a black belt but he is one dude that is hard to crack and after that fight for sure he has gained a lot of respect he has shown heart by not tapping and Jafel Filho is one nasty guy that Mokaev have come back from.

^  Lol yeah...  He fights out of Manchester.  Cheesy  And Mokaev is the kind of guy you like to hate as he's cocky and he likes to talk a lot of sht.  But he's also good and he could back it up in the cage.  He's def a future title contender.  We prolly see him go for it late this year or around early 2025.

Anyway, more replays.

UFC Free Fight:  Roz vs Daukas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmTjLoRT8hA

This one below convinced me that Petrino could be the real deal.  His two matches prior were good but they were vs easy opponents.  Bukauskas isn't really that good but he usually tests up and coming fighters.  And it wasn't much of a test vs Petrino.

UFC Free Fight:  Petrino vs Bukauskas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD5oTxwofe0

For sure most Dagestan fighters are cocky as hell, but you are right that he is backing that up inside the ring I kind of impressed with a lot of them as they are not just talking but they are showing good results aswell, that is why I am following this guy from now on, I could say we might have another Khabib Nurmagomedov in the making as he is still undefeated.

^  The making event isn't really that good but there are good match ups peppered in the event.  Basharat vs Zahabi, Alvarez vs Klein, Schnell vs Erceg, Nurmagumedov is back, Mokaev vs Perez and Petrino vs Pedro will be a total banger.  Overall another decent roster even though the main event sucks.

If anybody hasn't watched it yet, the Roz vs Overeem replay below is a must watch until the end of the match.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  No I'm not kidding.  =]

UFC Free Fight:  Rozenstruik vs Overeem
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmVEearWdHc

UFC Free Fight:  Gaziev vs Buday
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0of1MhkZakI

The other fights from the main event are really promising and all of your mentioned cards are good especially the Umar Nurmagomedov and Muhammad Mokaev fights which will be a banger of a fight.

And Oh! I remember that fight it was really unfortunate for Alistair Overeem to get that gruesome injury his lips were blown open with a scratch from that punch, we can say it was due to the impact that Lewis's punch that made that kind of injury, here is the gruesome image.

Many really know how Brandon Royval is not that great of a fighter while they also know how Brandon Moreno fights that is why many are surprised by the result it seems that Brandon Moreno is not preparing for his fight for feeling this kind of fatigue, or he doesn't really want to win, but anyway, this Brandon Moreno is kind of a weird one in my opinion, and getting a close fight against Royval is not what the fans expected.

To be fair, Dvalishvili's and Aljamain Sterling's brotherhood is a little bit strange. In Georgia, such brotherhood exists but as far as I know, it's impossible to find a person with that belief in the USA because our mentality is very different.
UFC is not popular in my country, it has never been. In my country, Judo, Wrestling and Rugby are very popular. UFC is becoming popular because of Dvalishvili and Topuria are achieving a huge success. Their success makes UFC popular here. I don't know if you remember #NBAvote ZazaPachulia, Georgians are extremely supportive when a person from their nation wins something or achieves success.

It could be the mentality of Georgians as According to Georgian poetry, hospitality is valued more than bravery, Georgian folklore idealizes a hospitable, that is why they are a country full of hospitable people and for me, Merab Dvalishvili is kind of a cheerful guy but he is not the one who will execute the 1st blow it should have a trigger for him to retaliate, I see him as that kind of a person and in the interview on Henry Cejudo while showing that Sterling and Merab was there Cejudo has said that he has the most advance wrestling than Merab and Aljamain combined if I am correct with what I have remembered and he never have heard something from Merab, Merab Dvalishvili had only shown it inside the octagon and guess what he was dominating Cejudo in their fight.

UFC society surprises me every day with finding such weird info Cheesy

Since there is still time to new event, and people are not really interested in it, I suggest 3 topics of discussion.
1) What you think about Belal Muhammad achievement and about him in general?
2) Have you noticed Mark Zuckerberg in Alex Volkanovski corner on UFC 298? And his performance before the fight? (https://www.marca.com/en/ufc/2024/02/18/65d2701522601d41128b4582.html)
3) FFS, where is YuginKadoya? Grin He used to post predictions here on each event. Now is gone; was online, but havent posted since Feb 5.

^  I think it'd be good to parlay Basharat, Petrino and Mokaev.  Pretty solid fighters for sure.  And as for the Nurmagomedov match, I think going for FGTD no at 1.66 could be good.  Don't think it's going to the score cards.

Yup and the thing is Royval won as an almost 3 to 1 underdog which obv is pretty good.  But that one judge tho...  Not really sure what fight he was watching.  He gave Moreno 4 rounds??  Wtf?  I mean it could be three rounds for Moreno, sure...  But 4 rounds?  :/

Ortega vs Tuporia?  it may be just that Tuporia is much more well-rounded and can hit harder than him. if he didn't win with Volkanovski and Max, less chance of winning in fighting Tuporia. Ortega vs Volkanovski 2 would be more possible.

at the beginning of R1 Yair was winning and then giving his back to Ortega and was mounted. Yair lost hope already after seeing he lost R1 and R2, he was easily mounted in the 3rd round with no struggle, and he's ready to give up.
Topuria has been very underrated and I have been saying many times that he is the goat. Mark my words, Topuria is another Khabib in UFC. He will definitely win against Ortega.

I didnt know Ilia Topuria was so popular in Spain
Topuria has many friends from Real Madrid as far as I know (some of them former ones), Sergio Ramos is his close friend, he even celebrated UFC title win with him. By the way, I don't know how popular he is in Spain.

I remember Fibonacci thing with Mokaev Cheesy being cocky and talking lots of shit while backing up your words equals to Conor Mcgregor V2 (but V1 is better, the OG).

Wait, so Nurmagomedov was meant to be fighting Sandhagen (ranked in the top 5 back then) in mid 2023 but he had to pulled out to to an injury, and now he's match-up against a completely unknown fighter who is having his UFC debut? Almakhan record looks impressive at first with 17-1 but he hasn't fought anyone with recognisable name in his career. Looks like he's more of a striker, so Umar will probably be mopping the floor with him. Odds confirm that with x1.07 for Umar.
It's clear as a day that UFC wants to make him a new star and give him an easy fight after the injury to make sure he puts another win to his record.

Whoa! It was really a gruesome injury he got there I never expected such things to happen in a fight, it was like a slash I thought that it was just bruises and bumps but yeah in boxing they will often get cuts in the forehead but never seen some cuts that are likely on the lip section, it was really unexpected at least for this to see such injury, it just got my hair tingling.

1) What you think about Belal Muhammad achievement and about him in general?

Actually, I don't like the guy and it seems weird that he now has a chance for a title match and I really hate the idea of him being champion, this is just for me I don't know about you guys.

2) Have you noticed Mark Zuckerberg in Alex Volkanovski corner on UFC 298? And his performance before the fight? (https://www.marca.com/en/ufc/2024/02/18/65d2701522601d41128b4582.html)

Judging from his face I think he might have lost a lot of betting for Alexander Volkanovski I don't know about you guys but I think that this is the face of misery just on my part what about you guys?

3) FFS, where is YuginKadoya? Grin He used to post predictions here on each event. Now is gone; was online, but havent posted since Feb 5.

I don't know why I have scouted the meta section but judging by this thread I think I have solved your question https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5485740.0

Undefeated fighters, fighting this weekend. Knutsson withdrew but the rest are on. The card looks very promising and should be a good night of fights. Nurmagomedov and Mokaev particularly looking very good and probably going to add another win under their name.

Umar Nurmagomedov vs Bekzat Almakhan will be the main card for the Batam class, looking at Umar Nurmagomedov he is truly unbeatable with 16 wins in 16 fights overall.
But it is true that Bekzat Almakhan is also strong fighter 17 wins and 1 losse , it just that here there seem to be many people who are much more dominant making Umar Nurmagomedov the favorite.
I know he is Russian fighter who has quite strong body and could have an advantage in punching power, this could make it easier to put pressure on Bekzat Almakhan.
It looks like I will also make Umar Nurmagomedov the favorite to win this fight.

^  Lololol!!!

I remember Fibonacci thing with Mokaev Cheesy being cocky and talking lots of shit while backing up your words equals to Conor Mcgregor V2 (but V1 is better, the OG).

Lol yeah...  But the difference with McGregor and Mokaev is McGregor was somewhat already a seasoned fighter when he was rising to fame.  On the other hand Mokaev seems to get into some sketchy spots and he's a bit low volume.  His next opponent Alex Perez is no joke in a good day.  The pick is Mokaev but the line is too wide imho.

Mark didn't see the future loss of Volk, I guess he isn't the reptile alien as people thought. He didn't stop training himself, it was supposedly just for the fight against Elon but now he's more into MMA. If he is already among these fighters, I'm sure they were already talking about wagering millions, someone like him with nothing else to do with their money,  I think he bet and lost.

Mokaev and Nurmagomedov definitely a good combination for multibet.

That's how he always looks. I can never have a read on his emotions. This could mean that either he or I have autism.
How did he get into Volk's corner in the first place? Do they sell a "corner man" experience nowadays?

The number in his record doesn't mean much on its own. It's all about who has he fought, and the truth is, he's a no-name who had only defeated other no-names. I don't want to be disrespectful and I hope he'll get a chance to make his name, but he's just too easy of an opponent for Umar, who was meant to be fighting the top guys.
But I guess the UFC didn't want to make it to hard for him after recovering from injury.

As Volk is already old, he was there to help him with gadgets and making post on facebook Cheesy Like all of us help our grandpas and grandmas with mobiles Cheesy

Does anyone knows if there are regulation about how many team members can be in your corner? It is understandable that you cant bring your whole family and the hood, but I usually saw 3 persons - coach, the guy who swings towel and a friend Cheesy UFC give their own doctors/cutmans.

P.S. As it is Friday, here is a bit of dark humor. You know how athletes support people (specially kids) with cancer, or some illness, or who have little time to live. They stand with football players in line before the game. They come to the ring if their fighter wins or the fighter call his "special fan" to enter. And you say Zuckerberg has autism... He is that special kid...  Cheesy

P.P.S. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mma-ufc/dana-white-explains-why-mark-zuckerberg-was-in-alexander-volkanovski-s-corner-at-ufc-298/ar-BB1iwSJV here is the comment from Dana about Mark in Volks corner.

He could be well, many don't want to be labeled a gambler as many gamblers are anonymous which makes sense and that face could explain it all he might be very disappointed with Alexander Volkanovski right now, and I got a feeling that the Era for most champion back then is over just like what happened with Izzy and seeing Volk making mistakes I thought it is about time that the UFC in the featherweight division will need a new champion, and it really happened, for me Alexander Volkanovski will need a longer amount of time for rest and think this over he is only human and can make mistakes but it is not the time to hang his gloves for I think he can still fight maybe pick some money fights for himself.

He doesn't have any time machine to predict the outcome of the fight or his AI could not reach out to him to predict the situation of the fight I really think he needs to read between the lines on what is happening now in the UFC that being said Mark Zuckerberg is just human, but having him liking the MMA is a great thing because as MMA now it will have additional audience for sure as Zuckerberg is a well-known guy he will surely bring something to the table for sure.

That's how he always looks. I can never have a read on his emotions. This could mean that either he or I have autism.
How did he get into Volk's corner in the first place? Do they sell a "corner man" experience nowadays?

I really think Volk and Izzy had some friendship status going on with Mark Zuckerberg for him to end up in Volkanovski's corner and I was not surprised seeing this picture of Mark Zuckerberg with both Izzy and Volk training Mark Zuckerberg is really viable that is why he was on the corner of Volk just for moral support and for sure he had secretly get some bet for him aswell.

Come on guys, there is no need to make theories and speculate a lot about Zuckerberg in Volks corner. It was done mostly for media purpose. Mark wanted to be more close to a sport he is interested in. Dana and UFC got some extra media recognition. If there is a chance to let famous person to be close to action, why not? It only plays good for business. He did not interfere, he did not do anything bad. He just stood and watched. And media posted most attracting attention photo of him. Of course there are million more photos of him, from every angle.

P.s. To bad from any angle he looks the same. The same as Madame Tussauds weird wax figure  Cheesy Cheesy

I'm not superstitious but it's clear as a day that inviting celebrities into a fighting corner is a bad omen. That space should be reserved for coaches and close teammates only. Letting outside people tag along changes the energy.
Yes, I 100% blame Zuckerberg for Volk's loss  Grin
