Ajax and Liverpool also secured their way out of the group in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League with their victories. Hummels' removal caused a lot of questions, considering that Antony himself stepped on Hummels' foot. Therefore, this fact may slightly explain the comeback that Ajax made. Atletico Madrid failed to score a single point in the matches with Liverpool, which looks quite surprising and has already complicated Atletico's struggle to get into the next stage of the Champions League and allowed Porto to reach second place in the group. Also, Milan still had chances to continue the fight, but still the draw with Porto greatly reduced these chances.

So, it just means Ajax has beaten Dortmund twice within some weeks.

I am yet to know what works the best for any club;
Is it to have a solid defence like Chelsea, such that any match you managed to score 1 or 2goals you have won.
Or to have good attack, like Liverpool that will get much goals, even if you equalise, it will result to GG and win for them.
I am asking because Ajax ability to score much goals have been helping them even in their league.

I don't think it is optional in this case mate , you just mentioned everything that makes an out standing club side.
The club can't really depend on one to win matches; these is what you should understand,when once a team begins to conceive much goals, 1 2 3..5 because they haven't gotten a formidable defense,it weakens and discourages the players and they might end up not playing well to equalise even if its a good team of good attackers,also on the other hand too

ac milan was very disappointing yesterday at 1-1 against fc porto especially since a draw is too little to maybe still have a chance to the 1/8 final. but inter is now by the away win at sheriff on the 2nd place in the table and now has everything in their own hands.
safe in the eighth finals are currently:
fc liverpool (1st in the table), ajax amsterdam, bayern munich and juventus turin

I really enjoyed Liverpool's easy win over Atletico yesterday. That team really annoys me, they are so compact and mentally resilient that you cannot relax for a second. They had a man down (wasn't really a red card IMO) and were 2-0 down and nearly got back in the game with that deflected goal that was marginally ruled offside. At 2-1 they would have given us a proper game.

In other games, Ajax won against Borussia again. Borussia started with 2 wins and is now in a bad position, their next game is away at Sporting and will probably directly decide who goes through.

Liverpool are in a very good scoring form. They are also linking up very well in the midfield area. The game is at Anfield and I am sure it will be totally different from the last match. Griezmann is a key man absent for Atletico but despite that I think Simeone will roll out Joao Felix and Suarez in attack and that certainly will put Atletico in contest but I think Van Dijk and co. in defense should able to hold them down.

I predict 3-1 for Liverpool.

Good prediction in the end for you, it was a 2-goal difference anyway, but I was also right that winning big would be difficult. Even playing against 10 men Liverpool could not score another goal and if not for VAR you would actually get the exact 3-1 score~

Klopp just wanted to qualify that's all and that's perfectly understandable so they can focus on premier league while giving some of their other players a chance to shine against big teams still in the remaining 2 games.

Sending off Felipe before the half time was the game changer had he remain on the field Altletico could have make a comeback, of course Atletico is always a run for their money against Liverpool anyday, I am not surprised despite one man down Liverpool pressed harder to score more goals but couldn't, Altletico stood their ground, however I dislike some condemnable antic and attitude of some Atletico players who want to bring the game into disrepute, kudos to the referee for handling and good officiating as well taking charge of the match.

Another impressive game from Ajax, they only got 2 goals in the 4 games of the Champion league group stage. And besides Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Juventus the only ones without losing points.

RedBull Salzburg is for me so far the surprise in the group stage, with another 2 good games they can make the promotion. Rather disappointing for me in the group stage is Atletico Madrid, you could expect more.

The match was completely under Liverpool's control. Atletico Madrid defender Felipe received a red card in the 36th minute, after that Atletico Madrid could not return to the truck. Moreover, Liverpool did a lot in yesterday's match. If Atletico Madrid had been able to counter-attack, perhaps the match would have been more competitive. In some of my previous posts, I've also often said that if now the luck of the sheriff in the champions league is over, and the fact that we can see how easily inter milan destroy the sheriff on their home turf, I think real madrid will also do the same to the sheriff later, considering the performance of real madrid which has now improved, so maybe inter milan and real madrid are the 2 teams that have a better chance of qualifying in my opinion.

AC Milan did not manage to win a single game in 4 match in the Champions League which made them have to give up early in the Champions League match. AC Milan is the only Serie A team with the worst performance so far for the Champions League while the other three team still seem likely to qualify especially Juventus. Atalanta and Inter still need at least one win to be certain of qualifying for the next round.

If Milan wins the two remaining matches against Atlético and Liverpool, Liverpool beats Porto, and Atletico and Porto draw, then Milan goes to the playoffs from second place even without taking into account the additional indicators. PSG is winning the match 2-1. But I didn't like the way they played. RB Leipzig are playing very well and they do not deserve defeat. Leipzig is ahead of PSG in ball possession. Moreover they have tried to attack more than PSG. Although I would not say that the attacks were very good. However, they made 16 shots, while PSG made only 7. The match was competitive. However, we did not see any good gameplay today from the 3 players of PSG's Forward, Neymar-Mbappe-Di Maria.

Injury time penalty give a well deserve point to Leipzig and PSG having another poor result with very strong and star-studded squad like Neymar-Mbappe-Di Maria these all have not good contribution in this game which is really mystery for PSG and management but good thing happening for them as now clearly they can qualify for next round even with second spot because now in next round they're having tough match against Manchester City which is on top and having full power to destroy them at home.

Hopefully in next few days we will have some good news about Messi which can give some better for this team in next Champion League matches.

Milan is almost out to have a small chance they need to beat Atletico with 2 goals of advantage and hope for a bad result of Atletico with Porto.
Inter recovered from the bad start of the group stage and now they just need some draws to get the access to the final stage.

Borussia is also in a delicate spot.

Now realistically we have some better shape of few groups like AC Milan is already out of European competition because now they are more concentrating in local league instead of this European Cup.

You are right and the first game made it clear after inter won against sheriff they gained that champions league confidence again especially when they did not qualify last year i think that motivated them more plus the difference between the two teams was big and i think sheriff team was a bit lucky in the first games since the opposition dominated both of them.

Dortmund - Ajax game last night was another disappointment for the Dortmund side unfortunately. Hummels was shown a red card in the 29th minute and very tough minutes started for Dortmund after that. But surprisingly, they still managed to get ahead by the Reus' penalty goal in only 8 minutes. And they kept the score at 1-0 for a really long time too. But still, Ajax scored three goals in the last 20 minutes and won the game by 3-1. After this result, Ajax have guaranteed qualifying for the next round. All the teams in Group E were strong. AC Milan and Porto and Atletico Madrid, all three teams are strong. However, Liverpool's excellent performance has enabled them to advance to the next round. I thought Atletico Madrid and Liverpool would go to the next round. But Atletico Madrid's qualification is still uncertain. They have to win against Porto, as well as draw with AC Milan.
