There are only 2 matches left in the group qualifying round and Zenit can say they can win against Malmo after that they have to welcome Chelsea guests as away players I never thought Chelsea let it go they will continue to try to add points to qualify for the next round and become group winners as long as they can win against Juventus.
So it's true that this chance is very small for Zenit and they can only be thrown into the Europa League after the play-offs are over.

Chelsea will win this match. All the teams are strong in their own field. Moreover, Chelsea is still a strong enough team. Their coach Tuchel is experienced enough. The previous match they lost was unfortunately against Juventus. If you enjoyed the match, you will see that Chelsea played great, yet they lost.

Chelsea has what it takes to win. And they should win because Juventus will be relaxed in the game because their spot is somewhat secured.  But in reality, if not that Juventus is just being inconsistent this season. No one should easily tip Chelsea to beat Juventus in Champions league contest. How fast things change.

Chelsea under the management of Thomas Tuchel has transcended into an elite team that fits right into the UCL. There next game would be against Juventus which is another elite team but then, Chelsea playing from a home side would be some advantage to them but then, I see a very difficult game by that 23rd and would be a chance to level up with Juventus in point and possibly goal difference to top the group. Malmo on the other hand is definitely not going to the next round as the goals owed is just so much.

Group stage is far different from the round of 16 up to the finals where luck in the draw also plays a huge role in my opinion.

I can hardly remember the two-legged confrontation in which the final result could be explained by luck. It is obvious that there are elements of luck in every action, but at a distance of 180 minutes of playing time (plus additional) the winner is determined quite accurately.

True but there could be matches where the first 90 minutes or the next is the main difference. I'm taking into account other factors such as the timing, the players available on those dates, and who they will play against. If a fully fit team A will be paired with an injury-ravaged team B then they are lucky.

Who made them among the elite teams? not just juventus and roma in seria A ,we have alot more teams still on their nerves ;brighton or Liverpool will make them lie flat just like what they did formerly before now.

Chelsea are pretty doing decent at home, having less goals scored at,there defense is just too solid to break,but having lost their top notch attacker Lukaku, although Lukaku performance when playing against bonnucci and cheillini is poor,he has always been kept behind bars.
Juventus qualified already but having them best form here in the Champions League,I doubt if Chelsea would successfully get three points.
Playing soft players with pace will break Juventus up, hopefully Thomas Tuchel utilize this and field the right players.

On the other hand, the depth of the squad is the same factor in the strength of the team as any other, which is why the top clubs at a distance look much stronger than the smaller ones whose squad is much less variable. But then I remembered a good example of a random factor: in the 2010 Inter - Barcelona match, the team from Spain was forced to travel by bus instead of flying due to a volcanic eruption, and this was later called the reason for the weak game and defeat 1-3.

It really does matter for teams to finish at the top because you may actually get a subpar team if you finish at second, and sometimes you may end up against a team like Chelsea as well if they finish second, so all in all first place is a very doubtful position that may or may not provide you with easier opponent.

However, second place guarantees that you are going to face a first team and that is not going to be easy for sure 100%, not saying first position will face easy opponent and it is not guaranteed but second position will definitely face a difficult opponent. Juventus may perform poorly in Serie A, but as often happens in Euro cups, this is a completely different game with a different level of concentration, motivation and results. Maybe it takes into account the fact that Juventus has already secured a place in the playoffs and will not waste energy? But on the other hand, it is more profitable to take the first place in the group than the second.

I don't know how book makers decide their odds. Somewhere 2.77 odds would have been ok for Juventus. Besides, first leg Juventus won. Apart from that Juventus have their prestige to maintain, it's a battle between Italy and England and besides whoever is at the top is safer.
Maybe Juventus will rather be ok with second place and not fight much. Playing Juventus handicap 2 will be cool.
