I was too excited to see Ronaldo and Messi play face to face, but UEFA made another scandal. The current match of Manu team is Atletico Madrid and I think that Manchester United can beat this match. The squads of both teams are very balanced and similar. It will all depend on the game strategy. Therefore, I believe it will be two very well balanced and depot matches.

The match between Liverpool and Inter Milan will be competitive. However, the chances of Liverpool winning are high. They have been playing well since the beginning of the season. Liverpool has been very consistent in UCL this season and previous seasons, thus I don't think Inter can pose any serious threat to their qualification, though they are more tougher than Salzburg who where initially paired  Liverpool, Salah and other African players will be back in the squad after African Nation Cup in January, there is no doubt will Liverpool would scale through that stage going by their pedigree in the UCL and past records.

After seeing Ajax finishing Dortmund off in one of their group matches, I see that Ajax can do a similar thing to Benfica also. It would never be surprising for me to see them reaching the quarter finals easily. But after that, it is doubtful if they can achieve more than that. It will be depending on the quality of their opponent. Ajax are really strong this season and they are not like this just in the Eredivisie.

I don't see them as so favorite. I understand why Ajax is said to have some favouritism. But, in turn, Benfica has a strong midfield and is also very good in the counterattack. If they play like they did against Barcelona, Ajax will have more difficulty.

I guess you watched Benfica matches but didn't watch Ajax matches. Ajax played very dominant and won all of their games. Their stats are ridiculous. Haller is the top goalscorer in the tournament. Ajax is heavy favorite against Benfica in this draw. I believe they can go way farther than quarter finals this year.
PSG - Real must be the most difficult draw here. Too bad one of them will be eliminated early.

@LGD2Business agree with your thoughts. The way Ajax is playing is very impressive. They completely destroyed Dortmund and Sporting, which is more or less similar level teams like Benfica. Maybe I wouldn't say that Ajax is heay favorite, Benfica is a good team too. And there is plenty of time until February, so, lot of things may change. Maybe Ajax performance will go down in upcoming months, nobody knows.

I think both these games are gonna be competitive and all these teams has an equal chance on getting to the next round both man united and atletico are struggling in their respective championships and both real madrid and psg are dominating their respective leagues.

I hope to see this exciting duel for the first time when they are in their respective new teams

although there was a technical error at the start, but after all the draw for the last 16 of UCL this season is really full of good matches and really worth watching

I can't remember anything similar with Champions league draw when they had temake it again . It's early to talk about games, it will be played after 2.5 months, so, many things may change until it. My thoughts about draw:
PSG - Real. It should be good. Currently Real looks as favorites there.
Inter - Liverpool. 2nd best pair. I think LFC is slightly favorites.
Atletico - MU. Both teams isn't very consistent, but I would back MU just because of Ronaldo - he likes to score against Atletico.
Benfica - Ajax. Should be very fun to watch. If Ajax will remain so hot until February, they are favorites.
Zalcburg - Bayern and Chelsea - Lille, I think everything is more than obvious there.
Villarrea - Juventus. Both teams don't look very good this season. Juve is better on paper, but I think it's not worth to understimate Villarreal.

I think pretty much the same about this draw... Bayern and Chelsea have easy opponents, I guess both will have easy games for the next stage! Real and Liverpool are favorites, but both games will be hard, and maybe we can see some surprises, I would like to see PSG in the next stage. Ajax is hot, you said it, if they continue to play like this they have a big chance to get to the finals, personally, I would like to see them there! Juve and United have a little advantage, but I guess Villarreal and Atletico can surprise, all of them are in pretty much similar form. As you said, games will be played in February and March, so things can change by that time, we will see... anyway nice pairs!

The draw between Atletico Madrid and Manchester United is going to be very competitive in my opinion. They both are inconsistent teams these days. Manchester United ended the group stage as the leader but their game is still not very satisfying. And as for Atletico Madrid, they are not doing too good in the CL and La Liga both. But in this clash, I'm closer to Manchester United's victory at the end. They seem more credible than Atletico Madrid already now.

Really, the Inter - Liverpool draw seems delightful for all of us. Liverpool's chance of advancing to the quarter final stage is very high though. But the first game is going to be played in Giuseppe Meazza which could be the biggest opportunity for Inter to give their best. I agree about Real Madrid and PSG, but although the Liverpool-Inter pair looks relatively even, in my opinion, Liverpool will be the clear favorite here. I think already today or tomorrow the bookmakers will publish their odds and it will be possible to be convinced of this.

Some crazy matches, IMHO. We will see some pretty interesting games. Especially PSG vs. Real Madrid, of course. It's probably going to be an absolute blast and I am really curious to see who will come out on top. Maybe PSG? Uff.. pretty tough one. In addition to that the Atletico Madrid vs. Manchester United game is going to be wild. Let's see if CR7 has a score to settle with Atletico.

there of course will be a lot of views.. assumptions.. etc regarding this , some will say it's just alright, nobody wanted doing a mistake , simplu just repeat.
and some will say it's just yet another UEFA scandal which it's yeah .. too much suspicious things happened around them. shame on UEFA.

And this is a problem, there is no winning for the UEFA, if we assume this was a mistake on their part then they look incompetent, after all it s not as if they have to do this millions of times a year, a draw like this only happens a few times each year and they failed, however this could also be interpreted by some as a way for them to try to fix the results of the tournament and that the excuse they are giving is nothing more but an attempt to hide the truth.

Today we witnessed a once-in-a-lifetime mistake and perhaps it is not over yet as Real Madrid may have another appeal for the draw as their ball was drawn correctly.

Absurd how UEFA has discharged the responsibility for what happened by blaming the system made by others.

We have more than 2 months for first match of this knock out stage and any prediction is having no worth for this match and Liverpool is hot favourite for winning this match because of this very good form from start of this season but Inter is also doing good for some time, and now they are also leaders in Italian League which is good achievement for them.

This is not easy match for any team as Inter is now also having good touch, they can win this match and champions trophy as well. But for this all we have to wait for next 2 months because now we are into winter break for Champions League.
