I wonder when the bookmakers will give quotes for the upcoming round of 16 matches? I don't think there will be many people who want to freeze their money for such a period now, but I would be interested to see how the teams' chances are assessed now and how they will change immediately before the match. I think that some teams (for example Manchester United) can seriously change their game and become stronger opponents.

That's still a long time like two months longer and if the odds are opened from now on then I'm sure it's impossible, unlike the case with the title winning team bet that could have been made at the beginning of the season. But for a game like this and the start time is still long and also, there are still a lot of games to be played during that period which makes it possible for many factors to change from injured players and any changes and it's not just about one team.

Weird days at the moment. First the FIA is totally embarassing itself with it's weird decisions that it made during the final Formula 1 grand prix of this season and now this stupid mistake of the uefa. I mean that two teams that already played against each other during the group stage can not face each other again in the first Playoff game is probably one of the oldest and easiest rules in football and still they somehow managed to completely botch that drawing yesterday.

Uefa has never made such a mistake, judging from my memory. Although the drawing process itself doesn't solve anything it's still very bad to make mistakes on the air.
As for me the matches in the first draw were more potentially interesting in this I most of all want to see a pair of PSG - Real Madrid.

I've newly got some information about it and it is really shocking to me. How did they manage to do a big mistake like that? I was happy to see a draw between PSG and Manchester United as it meant Messi vs Ronaldo at the same time. But their simple mistake led to this now. As far as I know, the draw will take place again in a few minutes. I hope that there won't be any problem again. But this is really one of the most interesting incidents happened after a long time.

The draw is in progress I think it's a mistake that we can't deny but I'm sure with the draw now it can go well.

There are some really interesting matchups here. The PSG v Real Madrid matchup could be really close. But I expect PSG to have a decent goal advantage in the first leg and advance to the next round by keeping their advantage in the rematch. Inter v Liverpool is another good matchup. But Liverpool are overwhelming Inter with their recent performance. For now, they are being favoured mostly. And when it comes to the Atletico Madrid v Manchester United matchup, it is hard to predict but for now Manchester United seem to be better.

I agree with your claim. Liverpool barely defeated Milan in the same place by 2-1. And if we look at the previous weeks, we can see that Inter have been performing at a higher level than Milan. In this critical round of the CL, I don't expect Inter to lose in the first game of the draw. I expect a score like 1-1 or 2-2. But there might be nothing to do for Inter in Anfield like you said also.

Liverpool are the strongest at the moment in my opinion although some of the other team were also outstanding during the group stage and I think they can qualify easily. Munich is a German team that is more likely to reach the quarter-finals or semi-finals this season than some of the favorite like Ajax, Manchester United or Real Madrid. But before we talk further about who is the best then I think we just have to wait for the first leg to start in February.

I agree with @Falconer now. I believe that Liverpool might even be the biggest candidate for reaching the championship. I have liked their performance the most considering all of the group matches so far. I don't have a clear opinion about Bayern Munich as their group matches were too comfortable for them. I will evaluate their performance in last 16 round and then put them on the right place they should be. But not only Liverpool are very strong of course as there are other big candidates like PSG and Manchester City for example.

If Ramos, Navas and Messi could play in that match, I think it would be better to see the reaction of the Real Madrid fans than without the involvement of the two former players. By what indicators is PSG better than Real? The local championship can be ignored - this year PSG have no competitors there, in the Champions League group they performed less confidently than Real Madrid and took only second place showing a weak game against City. In my opinion, at the moment Real looks clearly better.

I wish that we had the first draw successfully as PSG were going to play against Manchester United. I really want to see Messi and Ronaldo playing against each other again before one of them retires. I don't think I want Messi playing against Ronaldo, but maybe in the finals for posterity or glamor sake, It might be worth it, playing against each doesn't prove one player is better than the other, both players would do what's necessary for their respective teams, and even other pitch they don't even defend or mark each other, so what's the essence of them playing against each other. That said, I think I'm more intrigued by PSG vs Real Madrid than I was about PSG vs Man Utd.

Inter Milan vs Liverpool will be a very tough one. A very very tough one for the Italians.  Liverpool is a team no team will want to be drawn against right now. You wont have any chance to play you style of football when you are playing Liverpool. The first void draw was Ajax and now Liverpool. I think luck was not with them during these draws. They are currently in a top form now, but with the way the Serie A is, teams loses form at any time and finds it hard to recover. Inter Milan might lose this their form before this champions league game with Liverpool. But even at that, Liverpool will win this tie, home and away. Italian teams do not pose a threat to the English sides.

The both teams are very strong team but real Madrid is still more stronger than PSG in this season. Those coming matches will be more easy for real Madrid to win compared to the stress PSG gave to them for the last match. Real Madrid is still the powerful team in this group.

I consider Real to be favorites here - PSG is a great team on paper and is crushing teams in France, but I want to see how they will stand up to a well organized team that can match them in individual player quality as well.
