I don't understand the statement of Juventus coach Alegri after the end of the game saying that "Juventus should not be condemned like this" when right after scoring all Juventus backed out of attack and they were only playing defensively.Villareal saw that and dominated the game and they managed to get an equalizer but they sure could have gotten more.Juventus still is a big favorite to get past Villareal and further qualify for the next round of Champions League.

Yeah in the end the match looks pretty clear with the 2-0 win of Chelsea but i watched the whole match and i have to say that Lille was not that much worse than Chelsea yesterday. Especially after they were back 0-1 they were at least on par wit Chelsea for the rest of the first half if not the better team in my opinion, but of course it is also part of the truth that they were not able to create really big chances in this phase of the game. They only had 1 shot of Renato Sanches that was pretty far off and another shot that was directly at the goalkeeper.
I have to say though that Renato Sanches has shown again that he has great potential and i hope that he will get another chance at a big club again. Bayern Munich came just to early for him back then when he was still only 18 years old.

Totally agree with all the assessments about tonight I know Juventus haven't been doing well in the league but surely something is off when they're not the favorites against Villareal. They're not the same team they were, no team really is, but Villareal also is going to be highly prone to allow goals. BTTS is for sure, just who will get more goals I guess is the winner, but at the same time both don't mind drawing too with away goals rule gone I would say.

Yes, that will make each team finally have to win in the initial match with a goal, because in the second leg later of course they can apply a defensive strategy which of course has been proven by many of the big teams and can't even do much. Regarding Villarreal v Juventus it is very possible for both teams to score because they both have the ability to score goals and also, the defense that was not so perfect for both allowed them to concede.

So we got the BTTS as usual, but apparently according to most of the videos on highlights, the betting odds were correct to show Villareal as favorites. I think if they just had better finishing they would have had more goals, while Juventus actually didn't create as much and still scored a great first goal.

I think Villarreal played better where they had 60% possessionball and also had more shots on goal but their striker didn't do his best in this game.
If in the 2nd leg Juventus are still playing under the same performance as the 1st leg match, I think Villareal's chance to advance to the next round is bigger than Juventus.

I would say that it wasn't an easy match for Chelsea but they won nonetheless. Although the match was tough and tactical, Chelsea were the better side as a result of which they earned the points and are now closer to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. I don't have anything to say about Chelsea, but I congratulate England's football team. I was impressed with Chelsea's performance without Lakuku. Lille played well in the first half but let down by their final pass. It was a waste of Renato Sanchez' time to stay there, he must move on.

Without see position standing of Lille on Ligue 1 I think last night have more competitive match although defeated 2-0 by Chelsea, I see on highlight and checked with statistic Lille looks dominance and have the same ball possession and I think is different competitive. Lille success created 15 shots and have 2 shots on goals and I think is very appreciated with Lille player hard working. Villarreal were never detered by the very early goal conceived. I already predicted the game as a draw, but the early goal actually gave me a second thought. I thought that Villarreal would be weakened by the early goal. But it didn't happen thus, instead they became more composed and determined. They dominated in possessions, passes completed, attacks and dangerous attacks and to crown it all they equalized the match. It therefore means that assuming the early goal didn't come, Villarreal would have won. I tip Villarreal to qualify.

I was tempted to bet 3-0 for Chelsea
but luckily I limited myself to winning (since I would have lost)

Judging from the statistics, it's also clear that Lille has put up enough resistance, even the kicks made by Lille players are far more when compared
to Chelsea. But from 15 kicks, indeed only 2 towards the goal, even that is not too dangerous for Chelsea. I agree Lille didn't create big chances that
cost the Chelsea goalkeeper, Judging from the possession of the ball, actually Lille is not so bad, meaning that the two teams actually played quite evenly.

This game is very clear that Chelsea will win it, there is no doubting that because this season Lille have been in poor form. bet choose Chelsea win at 1.30 odds I think it's not worth it, it's better to give -1.5 points at 1.98 odds is a very right choice. i have done it and won my bet.
Chelsea really deserved to win even I think if they can maximize their chances they will win more.

Having the most ball possession is not enough for winning I'm afraid. Villarreal played well if we take all of their statistics into account. But this was because Juventus scored very early too. They scored nearly at the beginning of the game. And they did their thing as always by trying to keep their 1-0 advantage until the end. Because it was going to be enough for Juventus for the second leg. But Villarreal finally scored the equalizer however couldn't get ahead. And now, Juventus are still holding an advantage.

Both Manchester United and Atletico Madrid has not been in their best forms for a while now. Infact, Manchester United is appearing to be better because they are looking to be improving but not consistent but Atletico Madrid is appearing more bad.
Nevertheless, this is champions league and not league title race, they may put up a different ball game tonight that will surprise everyone. So, it is a match to watch, meanwhile the emphasis or the goal is not for Manchester United to play clean sheet. The expectation is for Manchester United to qualify by winning, no matter what margin.

It seems that Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have not been impressive in their respective leagues. They want to improve its performance but so far haven't been able to make it stable. If the last 5 league match are a comparison then I believe Manchester United are in good form against Atletico Madrid tonight. But the good news is that both teams are very motivated to win and it will be an interesting match.

I have seen some tentative or predicted line up of Manchester United vs Atletico Madrid that is holding later this night. What I didn't like in the line up is seeing Rashford at the right flank and seeing Maguire at the middle defense.
If Manchester united really want good result, they should start Lingard or Elanga ahead of Rashford. Rashford plays ball these days like a king. The way he treks in the pitch is what I don't understand. He doesn't complete his markings.
In the other hand, I prefer Lindelof to confident for naught captain Maguire. Maguire is only good in the air and nothing else. He gives me high blood pressure watching Manchester United.

Well thats kinda wild isnt it.  I was expecting Chelsea to flop a well but not to the point that they would lose against Lille, a draw most likely but yeah we'll see. Aside from that, I'd love to watch if Villarreal would win against Juventus as I think they have a solid performances so far in LaLiga to keep up with Juventus so I made a small parlay bet of Draw for Chelsea vs Lille and Villarreal to win

Who else is excited about the game between Ajax and Benfica as I am? This is a game that sure promises to be intriguing and mind blowing.
Benfica would want to bring their A-game fuelled by a win against Barcelona and would want to carry that same energy and put it to good use against Ajax.
 Statistics show that they have won 80% of their home games, but Ajax have proven to be another formidable side as they have been able to come out winners in all their championship games both home and away. Will Benfica be able to defend properly in the the Estadio do sport Lisboa or will Ajax have another field day at their expense? I predict a win for Ajax.
