Once in a while, we get huge upsets, such as the win by West Indies against Australia. But nowadays, the gap between pig-4 and the rest of the teams have widened. Given this, there is no logic in organizing matches between pig-4 and weak teams such as West Indies/Bangladesh. It will further erode the popularity of test cricket. Only 5-6 teams are capable of playing test cricket at the moment. Let's limit test cricket to these teams. For others, playing 2-3 matches per year is going to be more than enough. 

Well, how about each of the Pig-4 teams to allow a test series with Pakistan? Believe me, while Pakistan is not in the Pig 4, but the test matches like Australia vs Pakistan, England vs Pakistan and even India vs Pakistan (if it can ever happen) can create more hype and interest than the pig-4 playing with themselves only on a test match level.
I do not say that Pakistan will win these test series but it will create more interest and entertainment among cricket viewers worldwide.

Anyways, I will also suggest having more test matches between the weaker teams too to keep the matches competitive and also to keep the test match format alive.

I don't have an issue with pig-4 playing against Pakistan and South Africa. These two teams are actually good in test cricket, and at the same time they have a proper 4-day domestic setup. That can't be said for teams like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, who doesn't even have a proper 4-day domestic competition. But then, India hasn't played against Pakistan in test cricket for almost two decades now. It takes away a lot of the excitement in test cricket. Hopefully the situation will change for the better.

At one time under the leadership of Babar Azam we saw that Pakistan team did quite well in Test ODI and T20 formats and in our all ranking Pakistan was between one and three in these three formats but now Pakistan's performance in all three formats has deteriorated considerably. He was relieved of the captaincy due to the poor performance of the Pakistan team under the leadership of Babar Azam in the last World Cup and now he is only a batsman in the Pakistan team but he does not perform the duties of the captain. 

A captain is of immense importance in managing a team properly. The players who are captaining instead of Babar Azam may not be able to perform their duties properly and also the batsmen and bowlers who are there may not be able to play with responsibility due to which the performance is like this. But the Pakistan team should be given some time and they will recover.

Biggest issue in Pakistani cricket and sports is poor management we have no professional peoples those can handle this all just because of this Pakistan is now having no hopes of quality sports in country with things are going from bad to worse political influence and personal egos are also having serious troubles merit policy is zero few months back in Asian Games we have tennis players those lost without having any point due to both were over 40+ just imagine how things are going.
Cricket is only sport which is having something to cheer but sadly due to Indian influence in ICC this is also going down as no big team is coming in Pakistan, and they are also having no power to attract teams with quality players, so things are not positive even Pakistan is good in test format but due to internal issues and lack of leadership now things are going down without having any positive hope of rise.

When the World Test Championship starts most of the teams are busy with the Test series and when the ODI World Cup starts all the teams are busy with the ODI series and before the T20 World Cup every team is definitely busy with the T20 series. Although T20 World Cup is ahead and every team is more busy with T20 series, but they will not completely forget the Test game. Of course, if they play five T20 series, they must play one Test series. The full series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has consisted of three T20I, three ODIs and two Test matches.

I can agree with you on the ODI and T20 World Cups. Most of the teams focus on respective formats when these tournaments are near. But I don't agree on the World Test Championship. It is spread out across three years and none of the teams outside the pig-4 take it seriously. Test format is a costly affair for the full member nations. It doesn't bring any revenue, and it actually impacts the revenue earning capability by eating up the calendar and getting players injured with the heavy workload.

I totally agree with you that political problems in Pakistan are affecting cricket team. Constant political troubles are creating stressful environment which is affecting players mental health focus and performance. It is not right that players are not getting paid on time which adds to their worries and takes their attention away from game. It is unfair to expect them to do their best in such conditions. People in charge of cricket in Pakistan need to make sure players are taken care of and get the support they need. Only then can we expect team to do well and reach their full potential without political problems holding them back.

Update regarding the new pay structure for Ranji Players.

A New suggested proposal advocates that if any player features in 10 or more Ranji matches then he should earn 75 Lak INR to 1 Crore INR, depending on seniority etc. Atm pay is 15-22 Lakhs INR so it's almost triple. The worst case scenario they will get a double increment, hope BCCI finalizes everything and implements this in the next season.

Being a Pakistani I know very well about the condition of my country. Not even cricket team there are many government servants who are not getting paid on time. Just because of this political crisis. There is no doubt in Pakistani cricket we are having too many extraordinary players which give their best for the team in past and also ready to give their best in future as well but sadly due to political influence and persona ego's we are having too many troubles which are hurting them, and we are also having no system which helps youngsters to give their best and fix their mistakes in early stage of their career which is another setback for them.
Even we all know here we have good funds and all things available, but mostly political influence never helps these players as they needed to be so we are much behind from many countries with if PCB management able to fix few issues still this team can stay into top four in all formats which could be not bad for them, but nothing positive is happening and having any chance in near future which is the darkest side of this all system.
