Yes indeed Benzema will still be the spearhead they will rely on again next season. Surely that's all Real Madrid will do considering Benzema's performances have improved last season. That will be their capital to re-entrust it to Benzema. But I also agree that they should try to bring in young players who can replace Benzema for the future. Transfers this season should be good for Madrid. setting up a replacement or partner for Benzema up front will help Benzema not be used too often. I mean, with his current age, of course, the decline in performance will be seen when Benzema has to fight with a very strong opponent's defense.

I think they also need a central midfielder to replace Modric. Although Modric still looks very agile, Anceloti needs updating. Benzema is still good but having a potential replacement is not wrong I think it will be profitable to start now. The senior madrid players on average may effectively play 3 years again. they are chasing is to anticipate if Dembele goes to another club but if Dembele is willing to renew his contract of course Barcelona will not chase Rapinha again.
now the Barcelona squad is slowly getting better and they are only aiming for one more Lewandowski to strengthen their attack line.
and regarding their finances I think the team has done a very good job trying to raise fresh funds by selling some of their players to other teams.

But with this salary cut it is a double-edged sword considering they have been doing it for 2 seasons and it seems there are some senior players who are starting to not want this kind of thing anymore and it is now Pique who is getting the most attention.
Now Barcelona are quite critical coupled with the refusal to return the salary reduction, this clearly adds to the burden for them.
On the other hand, they are also increasingly in arrears and continue to be like that in payments which makes their debts getting bigger and bigger.
For young players they can still continue to be there, especially with a clause which is quite crazy so almost no one wants him even though his performance is quite good.

I just saw that Real Betis gave another 1 year to the legend Juaqin who will turn 41 years old this year and I'm glad to see him playing for another LaLiga year as he was one of my favorites on his good days of Betis and his prime. Also a good chance for him to play some more games in Europa League and maybe even score ? that would be amazing for him to score at least 1 goal in Europe competitions before he retires from Betis and the chances for this to happen are pretty big as Betis still have a squad that can achieve top 5 again in LaLiga 22/23.

I agree, if there weren't any other team that was trying to give him a better offer, then he is not cheated at all. If it was like a forced thing, then I would understand. For example, a young player getting like 5 year deal, and for a cheap one, then turns out to be a superstar, would be missing out a good payday because he is contractually obligated to play for lesser than what he should be getting worth.

But in this case, he was a free agent and he looked for other teams and no other team wanted him for that kind of money. If anything, Barcelona is cheated here because they offered money to a player that didn't get the same offer from any other team, so they overpaid him even with the pay cut.

Busquets played 14 seasons with Barcelona and he won't sign an extension of the contract since he wants to play in USA, probably with Inter Miami once his contract expires next season.
Xavi wants him with the team and he can play 1-2 additional seasons imo but it appears that he wants to try another experience rather than to play solely for Barcelona his whole career.

Barcelona has the potential to be a strong team, but they have a lot of young players and of course they need to mature. Of course they showed how good and fun they can play football in the match against Real Madrid in Bernabeu in which Real Madrid played completely lost. Real Madrid doesn't need to look for a replacement for Modric since they have Federico Valverde who plays at the same position. Valverde performed quite impressive in the last season, he deserves to be the successor of Luka Modric. For future midfielders, Real Madrid won't be afraid because they already have the successors of their 3 main midfielders (Casemiro, Kross, Modric). Tchouameni, Camavinga, and Valverde are their future midfielders, these players will be the key players on the midfield line of Real Madrid. It really makes me wonder why Barcelona are willing to spend that much on a kind of player they don't urgently need at the moment, yet they are already drowning in debts. They also don't seem to show any signs of offloading players that maybe redundant during the course of next season.  Let's see how thing go, but at some point I really thought Chelsea had a good chance of singing him.

He had already said that he agreed so that meant there was no deception there especially in this case it was obvious the decision was made by him.
But indeed I don't really understand why he agrees with this especially there are several clubs who want his services and even from a financial point of view it is clear that other clubs have better fans than Barcelona but I am quite surprised why he is back with Barcelona and is willing to take a pay cut.
