Actually saying Madrid without a big name is clearly in my opinion not quite right.

It would be a big joke to say that Real Madrid is not a big team, in fact they deserve the title of a big team in mainland Europe and even the world. They have a very bright achievement and they still get it to this day. 14 Champions League titles is one proof that they are really a very big team.

We have seen that in recent years that indeed Barcelona's finances are not doing well, even as you say that Barcelona's finances are dying. Many rumors say one of the factors why they sell their star players is also because of their financial problems. Especially in the transfer market last season they spent a lot of money to bring in players they were after like Lewandowski. What I don't understand is when they actually keep a lot of players and don't try to reduce the burden by selling their players.

Now looking for a new striker in the transfer market is an obligation for Real Madrid. Barcelona's performance in the Champions League would have been better if they had better performances from the defenders. However, Xavi may buy a defender in the next winter transfer window. Because he now has to find a replacement for Pique.

I don't think that Real Madrid are in need of signing a striker in January. They should still do just fine with Benzema after his returnal from the injury. Real Madrid don't seem to be depending on Benzema highly from now on. We can easily understand this from the team's and his statistics. Real Madrid have scored 33 goals so far and only 5 of them belong to Benzema. This scenario was much more different than this last season. Benzema was literally carrying the team on his shoulders.

This is of course great for Real Madrid as we can see it as an improvement. They can still fight for the La Liga title strongly and they are doing pretty good in the Champions League also. But at the end of the season maybe they might think of signing a younger and talented top striker anyway. It would be nice for them to get stronger in offense. They can't go on with Benzema forever in the end.

I would guess that it will only get worse for Benzema because he is getting older, anything above 35 and players injure very easily aside from a very few exceptions. This means that Real Madrid needs to get a world class striker, and that's not going to be either cheap nor easy. They really wanted to get Mbappe as we all know, and that ship has sailed, PSG paid so much money to keep him there, I am guessing that after such a huge signing bonus, they are not going to let that happen at all.

I feel like they will try their best for a world class one, and they will want to get Jude Bellingham as well, but that's not going to be easy to do, it's a lot of money.

The defense of Barcelona needs to be strengthened in order to be competitive. They did not perform well when they played against Real Madrid in this season because there was no defensive cover that they could rely on. With the attacking power that Barcelona has, they thought that they could do the job with the attacking power. However, they were not able to accomplish this task. In the end, as they attempted to advance while attacking, they ended up leaving gaps in the defense. It is up to Xavi to fix that problem.

If it is very urgent to get a striker, why don't to sign Ronaldo? Ronaldo still played very well and has good fitness. His age isn't a big matter, Real Madrid shouldn't sign him for many years. I heard a rumor that Ronaldo has made an offer to play with Real Madrid again, so the chance to sign him is more realistic than other strikers. As you said above, it is not easy to sign other strikers, especially if Real Madrid wants to sign Mbappe. Real Madrid may get nothing in the next transfer window if they only want to sign the top strikers (Mbappe, Osimhen, Martinez, Kane) that their current teams likely don't allow them to leave.

Real Madrid seem to be just as dependent on Benzema now as they were on Ronaldo. He has given Madrid the Cl 3 years in a row. Benzema was also very important last year with his goals in the CL. In the league, they can make it through a few games without Benzema, but he's hard to replace. The difference in level between Barcelona and Real Madrid compared to the rest of the teams is quite big. But Barcelona is the best on paper, I just don't know which of the 2 teams will make a mistake first. Real Madrid had a slightly worse period before the break was called in by the World Cup.
