Lewandowski wants a new challenge and that is one of the reasons why he is willing to move to Barcelona. Lewandowski is not only leaving for something that is difficult to achieve or something impossible, but he has contributed greatly to Barcelona's achievements last season with two domestic titles.

Speaking of the current attacker, it's the new rebrand version of the Poland International who's absolutely not in good form and easily dispossessed the ball away from his control.

Barcelona team is not weak but their performance is very erratic. Lewandowski is not in good form this season, this is why the Barcelona team is suffering. Lewandowski scored only 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 matches in La Liga. Barcelona expect more from an experienced player like Lewandowski. Barcelona need another experienced striker. Xavi will be looking for a new striker in the winter transfer window.

Barcelona must win the next match against Alaves. Barcelona are already 4 points behind Girona who are at the top of the table. Barcelona must reduce this point gap. Otherwise, the team will be under more pressure in the future.

Athletic Club seems to be in better shape compare to Celta Vigo, with the performance of the host (Athletic Bilbao) I don't see the visitors (Celta Vigo) coming close in getting a draw in this game and it seems to be a game the home side would get at least 3 goals getting past the goalkeeper of the visitors.
With Celta Vigo doing extremely poor this season and sitting at the relegation zone I can't see them holding Athletic Bilbao to a draw at halftime but if they succeed in doing so, I feel that alone can build their momentum in going into the second half, but to me, I'll give the home side the winning in this encounter.

Judging by their position in the standings, it's a stark difference. And not just that, their statistics also have a significant difference.
With such different conditions, there should be no reason for Atletico Bilbao not to win a match like this, because the advantage is on their side and also the home advantage is also on their side.

I think, there is no need to expect anything difficult to achieve because after all, we just accept the fact so far this season that Lewandowski has also fallen behind with the number of goals that Bellingham has. It is reported that Arda Guler suffered an injury before the match against Braga in the Champions League a few days ago and it does not appear to be a serious injury. Ancelotti said that the injury suffered by Arda Guler previously had recurred and he did not want to force the Turkish wonderkid to play for Real Madrid in the near future. Ancelotti seems to be very protective of his player and does not want a similar incident to result in him having to suffer another long injury. Considering that this week is the last La Liga match before all the players return for the international break, it seems that Arda Guler will have quite a long 2 weeks to rest before he makes his debut with Real Madrid.

But leading the table after 12 games is a whole lot different from leading the table after 5 games. But don't get me wrong, I agree that this is very early to conclude anything about their chances to finish the season at the top or among the best La Liga teams, but the consistency they have maintained over almost a third of the season has been remarkable. They enjoy the game and score so many goals. It is great attacking football.

But I am looking forward to December 10th when they play against Barcelona at home and then beginning of January they play against Atletico Madrid also at home. If they then still lead the table and don't lose these games, I think we can welcome a new contender for the La Liga title.  

I think you're looking too far ahead. Before the game with Barcelona, Girona will have 3 more games and for example in the next one (with Rayo Vallecano) their chances are estimated as 2.34, which is quite far from the favorite’s quotes. Girona had one big match this season - against Real Madrid at home and they lost it 0-3. Just because they were able to win against a lot of weak teams (check who they beat) does not mean that they will be strong in games against strong teams.

I agree that age and injuries can affect a player's performance. Lewandowski has not been in his best form at the start of this season, but perhaps that is also due to the difference in strategy expected by Xavi. I am very sorry that this season isnt at his best, given that in my opinion last year he deserved the Golden Ball.

Xavi needs to sit up and get his team back on track or they might be left behind.
Barcelona struggles to create chances and that is a major problem for Lewandoski. I guess it's because a couple of players were injured and I hope so. Frenkie is still injured and I believe when Frenkie returns Barcelona will play better.
Also, the attack of Barcelona is not very efficient. Raphinha can't dribble players and create chances. He is not explosive enough for a left-footed Brazilian winger.
Felix is not a natural winger. He's not fast, even though he's a good dribbler. He's the only Barcelona attacker who is a threat to opposition defenders.
Barcelona just needs to create a lot of chances again and they'll be good. With players like Gundugan, Pedri, and Frenkie, that should not be a problem.

I agree with you 100 percent and I have  also spoke highly about Lewandowski but the managers and fans won't give much listening ears to this because of their huge expectations which is vested on their interest in the victory of the club. That is what is more important to many now not his past glory per say. Barcelona is in dire need of that well-experienced finisher who will always strike in their goals at the moment and Lewandowski was meant to fill in that position, unfortunately, his underperformance have created that little gap that is frustrating the club lately. It's around 6 games now with no single goal.

At least it is better if the player is out of the pitch for that long time to an injury or something of such nature rather than witnessing games and not being able to make a goal as a star player. Something must have been the case, i suggests. But whatsoever it is, let him try and fix it so he can come back to the limelight again, that's how competitive football is now.

That's what I expect from Lewandowski. His performance dropped slightly at the start of this season, but of course fans are still optimistic that Lewandowski can improve his form as the competition progresses. The season is still very long and of course that could give him a good opportunity to improve. The problem that needs to be avoided is a recurrence of injury, that would ruin whatever he wants this season.

This week Barcelona plays at home to host Alaves. After losing 1-0 to Shakhtar in the Champions League, Barcelona seemed to have to force themselves to win against Alaves. There is no doubt that Athletic Club will win this match and get 3 points, they have performed quite well so far, ranking 5th with quite a lot of total goals. On the other hand, Celta Vigo is ranked 18th in the La Liga standings with 7 points.

Logically, Athletic Club must win because this match is also a home match for them, but we also can't underestimate Celta Vigo, they're only 2 points behind Mallorca, of course this will be a source of encouragement for them to get back outside the relegation zone.

Last season they only cared about the league, and that's how they won, plus Lewandowski situation is new, he normally scores very well and him failing to score is something new. So all in all, I think it is going to be quite difficult situation to be in, and lets see how it will go on about.

I believe that we need to arrange something that would be expected of them, which would be betting "under" on their games, I do not think that they will concede all that much, and I do not think that they are capable of scoring that much neither, so betting on their games that they will get a tie could be something important. I believe that it will certainly be an advantage when betting if you look at their previous games for sure.

Only 1 game from LaLiga on this Friday but it should be a good as Bilbao faces Celta Vigo.

In this game , both teams will look to take points because Bilbao needs points to maintain their 5th position in LaLiga and Celta Vigo needs points avoid relegation zone so that's why I do expect both teams to score and I think a draw might be the best bet to take on this one.

I agree with you, Lewandowski has gone through six matches without scoring a goal, is he still worthy of being Xavi first choice on Barcelona front line, of course the answer is yes. Who else has the most experience in the current Barca squad when it comes to scoring goals, Lewandowski is the player Xavi most hopes will do this.

The defeat against Shakhtar Donetsk was surprising, but I don't think Lewandowski was to blame. Barrenness in scoring goals often happens to all strikers, they need momentum to get back on track.

This season Lewandowski had suffered an injury, perhaps this has affected his performance on the field. But that doesn't mean his thirst for goals has decreased, I don't see it that way. There are still many matches ahead, we will soon see his action in scoring goals.
