Real Madrid was unable to win their game against Rayo Vallecano last weekend while league leaders defeated Osasuna by 4 goals to two on Saturday which now gives Girona a two point gap ahead of Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga standings.
Like you rightly pointed out, I think Real Madrid's failure to sign a replacement for Karim Benzema last summer is somehow affecting the squad and that's in a day Jude Bellingham who's been the club's top scorer this season couldn't score, there was no one else to score for Los Blancos. Jude Bellingham is another exceptional talent for Real Madrid bit he can't be that consistent forever it's reason enough for Real Madrid to get a new striker signed up.
Since they've finally cleared speculations of linking up with Kylian Mbappe, I be thinking who they'll want to drag in now to Real Madrid.
Julian Alvarez would be a good option? Somebody tell me Yes! Because this is a player that has won both the treble and the FIFA World Cup just few years after joining Manchester City.

This actually reminds me of Messi in his last seasons at Barcelona, where everything depended on him. If he didn't score, no one else would step up. After 23yrs Rayo was able to draw Real Madrid at home, this was a big record for them today as Rayo stays on clean shit as Dimitrievski made some dangerous save which would have be a goal. Real Madrid tried their best in the second half but they were unlucky to net the post and they lost the record that they have been keeping for 23yts.

Jude Bellingham couldn't come to the aid of Real Madrid at the last minute of the game just like the way he do secure victory for Real Madrid in seven won matches this season. Girona is comfortable sitting on top of the table as they are using two points to be ahead of Real Madrid and four points ahead of Barca. It will be surprising that Girona will win the league this season, if they can be consistent till the end.

Madrid were superior in this match and we saw chances from Valverde, Joselu and even Vini's goal that was ruled out by VAR but Rayo's goalkeeper also played very well and he deserves credit for his performance in this match.
Whilst it's unfortunate, it's still a good thing that at least 1 point is good enough for Madrid although I do have a few regrets about my bet when all I had to do was wait for Madrid and my multi went well.
