Barcelona showed that they are constantly oscillating between the La Liga and the Champions League.In Champions they had a horrible lost game yesterday night against a much weaker team like Shakhtar Donetsk is.I don't know what to think in the mean time as they are doing pretty well in La Liga being able to stay with the teams in the top of the standings,maybe Xavi is more interested to win again the La Liga rather than trying his chances in the Champions League but I am sure that the fans it is quite some time that they are waiting another Champions trophy in Camp Nou.

Barcelona's performance abd result in their UEFA Champions League game yesterday against Shakhtar Donetsk was surprising as many were expecting the Spanish champions to take all three points from that game but still maintaining their position as the leaders of the group H alongside Porto who also have the same number of points with them, I think there's nothing to be worried about concerning their progression to the knockout stages of the competition.
Barcelona are currently in the third position of the La Liga I think has more difficult job to do in the La Liga to return to the top than what they can do to win the group H

Even though they were one step away from securing a slot to advance to the next round of the Champions League, Barcelona failed to maximize it in last night's match and this means they have to work harder to increase their chances of qualifying. In fact, even in La Liga, Barcelona are still not good and even though the last time they were able to beat Real Sociedad was last week, currently they are still behind Real Madrid and Girona with a difference of 2 to 4 points. I think if Barcelona ultimately can't end their poor results in the Champions League for seasons, it's possible they will return to the competition to win the LaLiga title and that is a place they can always rely on.

The team's style of play is impressive for me, managing to beat most of the strongest teams in LaLiga and take every point possible.
Girona's management has played an important role in the team's rise maintaining stability and a long term vision. The club's ambitions now I can easily say they extend beyond LaLiga, as they aim to compete in UCL next season if they managed to stay in the first 4 standing places and it's something really a remarkable goal for a club of their size.

From a statistical perspective they are performing exceptionally well, maintaining the first place position in the standings ahead of Real Madrid and Barcelona who we usually see dominate LaLiga. And when it comes to performance, Girona boasts a strong team with new players.

Girona is one of those teams to look out for in Europe this season, their recruitments  this season is really paying off in terms of the team’s performance after 12 weeks of play. It’s the La Liga where we’ve 2-3 big teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid but Girona has fought and still fighting to stay on top that league.

 Their goal might not be the league but to secure a top 4 finish which assures them a spot in European Elite Competition, the UCL next season, but will the January Transfer Window have it’s turn on this Girona side, because these big teams have the financial  capacity to make some big spendings, well let’s see if Girona would pull up a fight till the very end, but one thing I'm very sure is that they might not win the league but may end up in the UCL next season.

It is quite awkward to see Girona being top scorer in the league with 29 goals now. None of the top teams in the league is able to score more than them yet. Those teams are competing in the Champions League as well of course but still I don't think this can be an excuse. Of course there isn't such thing like the more you score the more likely you become the champions.

However I must still admit that this is very impressive statistics. Their defense is weaker than those teams considering the amount they conceded so far. But Girona are still managing it decently despite not having as strong defenders as those teams have. Apart from that defenders like Eric Garcia and Blind are still good quality ones for Girona though.

I know that Girona cannot remain in that position long before Real Madrid will take it from them because they don't have the squads that will help them to maintain that position in their next 3 games. I still have confidence on Real Madrid that they will win their next game to secure 3 points that will lift their points more higher than Girona and remain in first position in la Liga league till they win the trophy .

Maybe you're correct, But did you watch Leicester City when they returned to the Premier League? My guess is you didn't, for if you ever did, you'll know what Girona are doing exactly. They may not have that capacity and defeders even the attackers and experience against big clubs. That doesn't mean they can replicate same performance when they meet a big or smaller club. I have this feeling that Girona won't drop by a lot in the table as they are not on some lucky winning streak. There is really no need to talk about their attacking line and their offensive power in general. That's striking. The only loss they had so far was in the game against Real Madrid and that game was decided by Real Madrid's conversion of chances on that day, which was really good. But in terms of the overall participation in the game, Girona was right into it.

But I can recommend having a look at the goal scorer list for La Liga and have you ever seen a team where the goals are so evenly distributed across all those players? They have the best offense in the league, but the best goal scorer has 6 goals, then 4/3/3/3/3/2/2... Often times there is one guy standing out with 10 goals or so, but not in this team.

Girona is still at the top of the table. I know that Real Madrid absolutely destroyed them. But they have been performing pretty consistently so far. At least they did good enough to stay at the top of the table. So I am still not going to talk trash about them. Of course, maybe they do not have the level of squad like Real Madrid. So I also believe that it is going to be hard for them to stay at the top of the table for a long period of time. But if they can actually keep the players away from injuries, maybe we will see something incredible from them.

Girona replicating what Leicester did in the Premier League might be crazy again owing to the fact that the big guns made quite some huge spendings in the summer and are still willing to make more in the January transfer window, let’s see how long Girona would be able to hold and hang on to their lead, I really hope the club has the financial capability to create a squad depth to be able t retain top spot for a while because we’re wuite early into the league.

 Would the likes of Jude Bellingham or Joao Felix, Gundogan want to give up on the league…. Perhaps Carlo Ancelotti has an alternative to triggered, but it's not worth bothering over.

Real Madrid will not be happy currently for them not to be topping the table after they drew their last match which made Girona to sit comfortable on the first position. This means that they will do everything possible to take back the first position back from Girona. It is obvious that Girona will not be able to remain on the top table for long because they will not be able to stand the pressure that it takes to be leading the league.

Girona is a club that nobody expected such beautiful performance from the this season but they have come out to surprise the world with the way they have kept their performance consistently in their various matches. Barcelona is something different this season and I doubt there will be a chance for them to win the league if they don't improve in their performance.

Licester City is a very relevant example, I agree with that. Real Madrid, Barcelona and ATM indeed have better strengths than Girona, the three clubs have advantages in all aspects when compared to Girona, but sometimes the luck of these three clubs is still not great for the time, being it looks like that, we can refer to the standings as the proof.

The January Transfer Market can be a forum for any club to rebuild their squad, and of course this is in line with their financial side. It could be that there are several big names who will join La Liga when the transfer market opens, Girona can also make this happen so that they can continue to be consistent in the second half of the season.

I think they are not in that much of a difficult position in CL despite the defeat. They just need a win to secure the spot in my opinion. Barcelona and Porto are on 9 and as you said Shakhtar is also closing up but Barcelona and Porto both have huge goal difference as compared to Shakhtar's so as long as Shakhtar doesn't wins their fixtures with Porto and Antwerp with huge difference I don't think it's a worrying situation but that too considering that Barcelona wins at least one. They will easily qualify, Shakhtar were a bit lucky and defended well throughout the end but apart from that Barca has the quality and I think they will easily advance to next stage from their CL group.

Matches in the Champions League are difficult to predict because after all, if we consider logically playing against Shakhtar Donetsk still makes Barcelona can fail to get points. Barcelona are not doing so well, they shouldn't have won against Real Sociedad in the first place last weekend, a win will always remain a win but the likes of Gundogan and Felix haven't been smiling. I don't know the kind of soccer Xavi Hernandez and his squad are playing.
Romeu as a player should be chased, he is not meant to play for Barcelona.

Jude Bellingham has been excellent and Real Madrid would need a new natural striker. What's with the news of drawing back from signing Kylian Mbappe?  I don't want to believe this news until it's time for the transfer window.

As long as that Competition can be competitive and interesting with Girona's stay at the top, I'd love that. I'd also love them qualifying for the European Competitions, they really deserves it.

The defeat is a reflection of their true strength in this season and how Barcelona have started the season on the wrong note and seeing that everything is happening with their current performance,  it also shows that their previous success in the league was solely based on luck and nothing more and if care is not taken,  the club may have a hard time in the season considering their present performance and what are the clubs that are on the line up for them in the next round of this season.
