Sevilla drew with Valencia by 1-1 yesterday. This was not an unexpected incident for me honestly. Because bookmakers also were waiting for this to happen and we weren't surprised. Sevilla would have won this game actually if they were able to keep their score advantage but they couldn't. Now, they are four points away from Real Madrid in the league standings and they both have played the same amount of games. We will see if Real Madrid will continue to make mistakes and give a chance for Sevilla to take the lead in the future.

The match stats look balanced. Although Sevilla had more possession of the ball, it did not make Valencia lose opportunities. both teams played quite well.
two goals occurred in the first half and if Luis Gaya's red card early in the second half. I'm sure the result will be in Sevilla's favor.
I hope Sevilla can win. because it will be more interesting to fight with Madrid.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed with this result, I predict Sevilla will get full points to approach Real Madrid. The distance of 4 points is now quite far but it makes Real Madrid a little calm. I want tighter competition at the top.
In the next match Real Madrid will host Elche, it looks like it will be an easy match for Real Madrid.

Never underestimate Valencia, they used to be the third biggest club in La Liga. Now they are facing some problems but still in top five. They were something else in early 2000's, good old days. Last two seasons were pretty bad for them and this year they don't offer much, still they are better than other regular middle class teams.
Today Getafe and Granada will play but I don't get the odds. Getafe looks favorite by big margin, I expect a closer game though. It could end in draw like their last two meets. Granada is also unbeaten in four games so Getafe win odds are ridiculously low, I wouldn't touch that.

Real Madrid have a comfortable 4-point lead, they can even afford to lose a match and still be the leader. Given that Sevilla can't beat everyone in a row, I expect this gap to widen rather than close. However, with behind such a rival as Betis, Sevilla can at least be confident in second place. Atlético will be dangerous if they can get out of the crisis but it is too far.

Long time and several years ago Valencia is not big four top La Liga team always faced and stay out from top position four standing until end La Liga. I think they faced problem when club get new owner Peter Lim never brave giving much money for head coach how to get star player. Now Valencia out from Europe competition not only miss out long term from champion league competition but also Valencia never participating on Europe Leagues almost five years ago. I think Valencia still have chance how to get good position standing and try back as realistic on Europe league competition next season if success finish on top six position standing.

Without fierce competition at the top of the standings it will look boring, the difference of 4 points makes Real Madrid a little calm, but Real Madrid point may still be pursued by Sevilla. The story is different in the Premier League, Manchester City is quite comfortable at the top because the difference in points with Chelsea is quite far.
Sevilla performance is quite good in this match, they managed to dominate the match with ball possession 68 to 32. In La Liga, they have some seasons fighting for title but they did not get one. Will this season be the milestone for them to change it? I don't think Real Madrid will allow Sevilla to easily achieve it. This season can be a very last season Modric, Benzema, Casemiro, Kroos, etc. will play in a same club and can manage to win big titles. They are moving to separating time, some are old enough like Modric and players like Benzema, Kroos will be replaced by younger players sooner or later.

Elche scored right after the Real Madrid player Marcelo was sent off. Real Madrid have nothing to lose now and they would fight with all they have got I assume. Elche must defend them very well for the last 15-minute period. Real Madrid won the Super Cup title but they are likely to be eliminated from the Copa del Rey seemingly.

I'm proud to be on the side of Real Madrid because it's quite clear and it's true that Real Madrid won but with extra time.

I think they deserved to win even though they did play with 10 men because indeed they dominated from the start of regular time to extra time.
