Although, Atletico performance lately are quite poor, they lost in the Supercopa de España semi finals to Athletic Club, and also lost in the Copa del Rey Round 16 match against Real Sociedad last Wednesday. However, I don't think Valencia will be able to beat their host today. The game likely to draw draw, or Atletico will probably win with a goal difference.

I think Atletico is already out of the the competition of the trophy winners of this season. They should try to stay in the top 4 of the leaderboard to play in the next UCL season. Perhaps they will win against Valencia today. Actually Sevilla have an important match today. They must need the victory to reduce the point difference with Real Madrid. Sevilla was unlucky to have a draw against Valencia in the previous match. Point difference will increase more if they repeat the same mistake against Celta Vigo.

Maybe that loss was a message to say they would rather allocate more resources towards the league than this supercopa which would have seen more of its senior players involved but like you said they need to protect their position and no two ways about it this is a must win match for these lads.

If it can indeed be proven it will be very extraordinary for Barcelona to occupy the top 4. I'm certainly looking forward to it with great pleasure. However, Barcelona also still has many obstacles and will not make the road to 4 achieved easily. Losing to Bilbao is a natural thing. Because the thin score produced by Barcelona has shown their achievements more than the previous game. If Barcelona continues to improve its performance, it is possible that the top 4 can be occupied.

I looked at the bookmakers' bets and it was very clear that the bets were profitable for Athletico.
but on the other hand I can't understand why they sided with Athletico because they still haven't been consistent in the last few matches.
I personally will be in a draw in this match but add a bit because both teams will definitely score goals

Sevilla - Celta Vigo game is going on very interestingly. I expected a certain victory for Sevilla by one goal most probably. But they are the losing side by 2-0 in their home game now. I'm just trying to figure out how this happened. I know that Celta Vigo are not the worst in the league but they still had a low chance to win here honestly. Because Sevilla are one of the candidates for the La Liga title. And I thought that they wouldn't do a big mistake in this game. But it looks like they will lose.

It will definitely take a while for Barcelona to become what it was after Lionel Messi exit last year. As a football fan I never did expect a magical wand of perfection when Xavi was employed as Barcelona new coach. In situations as this, it is expected for top teams to face this kind of downturn during transition of having the best player in the world in your club to now having younger squad to bridge the gap. Barcelona might not qualify for the champions league next season but if time permit Xavi and proper assistance from club management and fans, I do believe that things will get better.

Currently, we have another very fascinating match between Atlético Madrid vs Valencia which is just heading for end of first half with Valencia is leading by 0 - 2 with current poor form from home team they can slip to sixth and Barcelona and Real Sociedad can take higher ranks above them which is not good for them. For next match Atlético Madrid is going to visit Barcelona which can create more problems for them.

Yes, it is a crucial match. But just look at the current score, Valencia leading 2-0. I am not sure to see Atletico Madrid gets 3 points today. Although, they still have a chance to score in the next 2nd half, seems hard to break Valencia defense. We must appreciate Valencia defense, they play quite solid in this match. So, I guess the final result is a victory for Valencia. May be the score will be 2-1 or 3-1 for Sevilla.

Sevilla will host Celta in Week 22 of La Liga. Having previously failed to achieve full points at the time they traveled to Valencia.
In their last 5 meetings Sevilla won 3 times, lost 1 and ended in a draw. This is capital, at least for they have a better chance than Celta. Moreover, they will play at home, plus Sevilla have not tasted defeat in their last 7 matches in La Liga.

Another factor that will boost Sevilla's morale is that they are only 4 points away from the current La Liga leaders Real Madrid, if they can play with consistent wins, it is not impossible that they can become La Liga champions this season, there are still many games left and they will meet Real Madrid again.

Meanwhile Celta Vigo will play with little motivation, they are only in the middle of the table, safe from the relegation zone and difficult to move up to the top of the table.

When you are at a place where you know you are not going to European competitions next year but you are not relegating neither, like finish the year as 10th or something like that, then it becomes a bit of a challenge to motivate yourself for a win. After all there is no difference if you win or if you lose, it is going to be basically same result for you. Obviously you may end up with just a bit more money for finishing 9th versus 10th, but that's not really a big deal at all.

We have to remember that football clubs are a business as well and wins are what they provide to their customers who are the fans, but if your win means nothing then winning doesn't bring much to your customers. Sevilla on the other hand could win the league, probably won't but at least has that chance which I believe that could be a good motivation for them to win as many as possible.

One beautiful thing I love about laliga is the difficulty in making prediction. Athletico Maldrid in my area was the favorite but Valencia has made many bets void tonight. It's 0-2 lead already Valencia doing wonders playing away against Athletico Maldrid. I hope to see more goals in this match atleast Athletico wouldn't end the match without a single goal for consolation

It's hard to see the end of the season. Some of the top teams continue to be unstable, even at the beginning of the season I saw Atletico in the top three but to this day I am mistaken. Real betis, Sociedad and Sevilla were beyond my prediction. But if you look at Sevilla's game they are more stable than Atletico and there is still a chance they stay until the end of the season. Maybe Atletico are an experienced team but some of their games have been poor. Their points difference was quite a lot of thirteen points.

It's hard to see the end of the season.

If you mean about guessing the winner, I think we only have 2 candidates, Real Madrid and Sevilla. But if we analyze the current performance of these two clubs, no doubt that Real Madrid is the favorite to get the title this season. Maybe guessing which clubs to finish in the 3rd and 4th positions are a bit difficult. The candidates are Real Betis, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, and Barcelona. In my opinion, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona will finish in the 3rd and 4th positions because they have stronger squads.

Real betis, Sociedad and Sevilla were beyond my prediction.

Yes. These 3 teams surprised us, they can take advantage of the big performance decrease on Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. They succeed in building their squads this season. A good selection of new players in the last transfer window may be one of the keys to their current success.

Currently, it's one of the worst time for them in last many years but still I am feeling they are not broken they are struggling badly and just scored very valued 2 goals in injury time for having 3 points from this match which is still not bad because they have 7 points from last 5 matches is very poor from their standard today's match is giving us good example of their quality and capability they can change things very quickly for better results.

It is shameful result for Valencia as they were leading in all match and suddenly lost their grip in injury time with giving all easy win and full 3 points so how unpredictable is this team for many years even they were doing some better in last few matches.
