Atletico Madrid are really too bad and they are not much different than Barcelona considering their general statistics. Barcelona's recent performance in the league has been even better than Atletico Madrid's. And I'm curious about if this will change for Atletico Madrid. Because they are already far away from the leader. The gap is 16 points now.

Both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona cannot compete for the title this season, their point gaps are too far from Real Madrid which is at the top of the standings. Only Sevilla has a chance to compete for the title with Real Madrid. In my opinion, the realistic target for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona is competing for UCL tickets. However, it won't be easy for them if their performance is getting worse and no positive improvement. Moreover, if there are some key players injured or got affected by the virus. It will make the situation be more complicated for them.

Sevilla are doing a wonderful job by maintaining their great form lately. They had a home game against Getafe the last time and they won that one also. Maybe it wasn't a comfortable victory but the most important thing is the result of course. We already know that Sevilla likes to play safe. We don't see them winning their games by a big margin very often. Now, they are following Real Madrid 5 points behind and they have one missing game at the same time. They can make this gap 2 suddenly if they win that game. I love this competition for now and I hope that it can continue till the last weeks of the season.

Real Madrid have 5 points behind Sevilla but least one match more for Sevilla and depend if success get three points again make most competitive with different two points only, I think is not safety for Madrid because they less chance when loss from Getafe although success defeat Valencia last week. Sevilla looks different in this season after success playing well and keep consistent after 20 games they can keep stable on second position standing. Maybe only Sevilla as competitor for Madrid to get La Liga trophy and keep touch on top performance will see interested for Madrid.

I didn't like Atletico Madrid in their Villarreal game. They barely secured a 2-2 draw and it wouldn't be surprising if Villarreal won this game. Because I believe that they deserved it too. Atletico Madrid were terrible in the first half. They didn't find proper goal chances. They tried to be better in the second half but their performance was still at an inadequate level. If Atletico Madrid want to climb the places in the standings and be in top 4 at the end, they need to do much better than this.

Getting rid of Barcelona and Atletico for now is too early. I agree with you. The difference in class points between number there to seven is not much. Atletico and Barcelona were unstable a few weeks ago. In the last five games they have lost three times. Good development is actually at Barcelona, Since Xavi came Barcelona little changed they have not lost in the last five games. Their chances are still very much, they are better and have the experience to enter the UCL Zone in the final grades. Barcelona still deserve to progress to UCL next season.

Right and it was one of Barcelona's final goals this season. Real Madrid won't lose the title in my opinion even though Sevilla looks set to compete until the end of the season. I think Barcelona are no longer focused on getting the title, but participation in the Champions League next season would be a realistic target for them. So they shouldn't be burdened at the moment and they should just be trying to win more.

I don't know when you started fotball but they've been a threat to Real Madrid and Barcelona's when we talk abiut title. They have been consistently pushing them for the past few years. They're the only team that held the trophy outside those two teams in the past decade.

Yes indeed, it should be a full point for Villarreal because of the better dominance during the match. But sadly, even though Atletico are currently not in a good form, they are still a big team that is hard to beat. That way, I personally still appreciate Atletico's game because of the fact that Atletico will still fill the top four positions even though their expectations for this season are not as expected.

It's true that Atletico Madrid have been a very strong threat to Barcelona and Real Madrid for many years ! however at this time atletico and barcelona have to face a difficult situation above them there is sevilla who are in their best form, betis and sociedad are not a strong threat can be overcome easily

Agree. There are still many remaining matches, the position on the table may change at any time. Both Barcelona and Atletico aren't small clubs and they have good squads, while they are competing with weaker clubs for UCL zone. With the current position of these two clubs, they shouldn't struggle too hard for UCL tickets.

The winning is not as important as the playing when it comes to consistency. This is a league and a marathon, so if you play badly and still end up winning consistently, it will come back to eat you up when the average scores round up. Playing well all the time (and getting Ocampos to be as fit as possible) will ensure they get over the line, because Real are vulnerable this season.

I do not really bet much on La Liga but the cup game tonight looks like good value for either team depending on what you believe will happen. Real Madrid is 1.9 to bet on and their record against Barcelona recently has been very good,,, even when Messi was still there, Benzema scores and it is all over for the team under Xavi, agree or not?

When I look at the current view of the standings of the league, I can see that Real Madrid and Sevilla both have opened a big gap with the rest of the teams. The gap between Real Madrid and Sevilla is 5 points and Sevilla have a match missing. And Sevilla are 10 points ahead of the team at the 3rd position which are Betis now. We are still in the middle of the season and many things can change. But I still don't think that the first two will change until the end. We will just see a competition for the championship between them.

real madrid have played 21 games at the moment,real madrid have collected 49 points,and their rivals sevilla are in second place,sevilla have collected 44 points,but sevilla have only played 20 games at the moment,they both are now strong contenders this year, but I personally think that Real Madrid have more chances of winning this year, because of their very consistent performances, and Banzema also played very well..

Atletico madrid this season have really gone out of the way of the championship competition, the negative results they continue to get this season make a pretty big points gap from real madrid, I think now Simoene have a tough job to restore atletico madrid form, the draw against villareal is correct It's true that it looks like Atletico Madrid has lost their winning mentality right now, I don't know why until now it looks like Atletico have not been active in the transfer market and I don't think the fans will be happy with their current form.

Normally, the postponed matches are going to be played in around a week. But I see that two matches have already been postponed once more. These matches are Barcelona v Rayo Vallecano and Mallorca v Real Sociedad. But thankfully, this postponements aren't due to covid-19 this time. The reason is that there are domestic cup matches then. Actually I expected El Clasico to happen in the final, but it turns out that the two teams have to meet in the semifinals, apart from the title El Classico, I think the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid is like the final that happen too earlier in the Spanish Super Cup this season. Now real madrid are definitely more favorites because of barcelona declining performance this season, but even so I think el classico is still el classico which has always presented fierce matches so far, even though barcelona  condition is deteriorating now but I think they will still give their best to destroy Madrid, because so far El Classico is not only always a match but often decorated with prestige and also risking the pride of who is the best club in Spain.
