I do not understand why Atletico Madrid is so unstable, and it happens all the time. In the previous match against Barcelona they played well, although they lost that game. But now against Almeria, why do they play so badly? They also got a red card. I guess Atletico was lucky that they didn't lose this game at all.

They always do the same strategy by only making defensive schemes and taking advantage of counterattacks. against Barcelona this was indeed quite good because Barcelona played attacking but when facing a team that was actually under them like Almeria it was clear this was not the right thing to use this scheme.

Unfortunately this match destroyed my multi bet.

It's true that Atletico Madrid only took advantage of the attack again but they weren't able to press the same as the game with Barcelona, was it because Diego Simeone's strategy was no longer effective enough, after I noticed when playing big teams Atletico were able to perform well but when playing with a team under Diego Simeone's troops also not so optimal.
Maybe what you said is true Diego Simeone did the same scheme again.

The gap between the third and fourth teams (Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid) is getting bigger and bigger. After the victory from the basque team and the draw between the latter and Almería, the difference between both teams is now of only seven points.

Edit: As LUCKMCFLY said, both clubs (Real Sociedad and Athletic de Bilbao) are good teams, but in the end the first won the match at home by a 3-1, and it could've been even worse for Bilbao as they didn't play well at all.

The first half match between Almeria vs Atletico madrid ended with a score of 1-1. As far as I can see, both of them are almost balanced in terms of attack and defense, from shots on target both teams have very thin data. It is possible that in the second half Atletico Madrid will slightly change the pattern of play to make it more efficient to score additional goals, while Almeria certainly has to strengthen its defense if you don't want Atletico Madrid to be free in their defense.

It wasn't a comfortable match for Atletico Madrid. Almeria and them both had so many big chances to score. Atletico Madrid still could have won this match actually if they were a little better at finishing. Morata wasted two big opportunities after being subbed in. He doesn't seem like he is in a good shape these days. Atletico Madrid are inadequate in performance as a team though. They should be much more productive than this normally because they have great attacking players and midfielders.

I also believe Simeone should be sacked at the end of the season. He isn't fitting this team anymore clearly.

Current standing from Almeria at 13th I don't expected with Atletico Madrid failed with three points in their hand and losing opportunity how to make points close with Real  Sociedad. Seems Atletico Madrid loss their opportunity compete La Liga standing with Barcelona and Real Madrid after underperformance and remaining many points left for La Liga tittle race.

I don't think have impact for Atletico Madrid with red card received for Sergio Reguilón because happened at 89th minutes and not more chance for Almeria added more one goals, actually Atletico Madrid managed early trough Angle Correa goals on 18th minutes, but Almeria success make score draw after Bilal Toure goals in 37th minutes, not any goals added for both team on second half and make Atletico Madrid keep with 4th standing position in La Liga.

I avoided betting on this match because sometimes for Altetico things like this can happen.
If it is said that Simeone's strategy is too monotonous in my opinion and always does the same scheme regardless of who the team they are fighting against.
For some strong clubs like Barcelona or Madrid maybe this has an advantage. I agree that the SuperCup is not a conventional championship, and I remember when I was a child that I had some difficulties too in understanding what this tournament was meant for. Some kind of consolation prize for top teams which didn't manage to win any of the more important Cups? An opportunity for the ones who won one or two of the other competitions, to increase the number of titles? A bit of everything, I guess.

BTW, half-time and Barça is now 2 goals over Real Madrid with 0-2 on the scoreboard. (Edit: like Falconer just said).

Things are not looking good for real madrid they way they are playing is really poor their midfield is out of service and barcelona totally dominated the first half it seems that xavi know how to counter real madrid very well but real madrid is a team that excel in comebacks especially in knock out formats so if anceloti manage to find the problem and fix it we might see a better and more competitive second half.

Barcelona is already 0-2 ahead of Real Madrid for the Super Cup. Still, a nice score at halftime, I think, for Xavi and his men. Real Madrid may not give everything to win this match. Interests for this club seem to me to lie with the CL and the national title. Moreover, in the final you also have to beat the winner of the other semi-final. And Atletico Madrid knew before the competition at low-flyer Almeria and it eventually became 1-1 there. Lewandoski has obviously settled comfortably playing in the Barcelona shirt. Barcelona played superbly and got goals as a result. I had initially thought that Real Madrid would, though with some difficulty, win the game against Barcelona.

Frankly, I can't be good for Real Madrid. Yes, you're right, there are still 45 minutes. Ancelotti will try to make tactical changes and close the score gap. When I saw notification from online about Real Madrid and Barcelona, I was mad at myself thinking that it is El classico. I had to rush and check for myself and understood that it is the Spanish cup and despite that Madrid fielded their best players just as Barcelona did, they are unlucky to be 3goals behind Barcelona.

To be honest I don't really like Madrid's current condition even though this is the supercopa final but I think if Ancelotti doesn't move fast in anticipating this condition later I think this will have an impact on their performance in La Liga. Apart from anything their condition in this match is really bad.
