If you compare it to a player like lewandowksi indeed , but they could become an effective striker though in case lewandowski is not available , if there is no chance for xavi to sign a new striker then i think there is no choice to use ansu fati & ferran torres at the front and nothing really to worried about.

If Fati and Torres can be effective strikers, Barcelona won't sign Lewandowski. Honestly, I really doubt that these players can be alternative strikers, they are pure wingers. Although they also can play as center forwards, I am not sure they are strong enough to fight with the opponents' center backs. Fati and Torres must improve their physical strength if they want to play as center forward.

You are right about Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres, they are both not dominant centre-forward but they are right wingers who can also play at centre-forward. Only Lewandowski is pure striker as centre-forward, but in urgent situations I think Xavi can play false nine formation.

False nine may be not a bad idea. But does it works effectively with the current players? I think it is not really suitable for the current Barcelona squad.

It has been a while that Real Sociedad does decent games and shows great football,they even beat Manchester United at home in Old Trafford last year in Europa League and this for a team like Real Sociedad can be called a truly great achievement.Also in the La Liga they are doing well from some time now but they have always not shown that consistency and quality to fight for the title maybe because of the limited budget they have compared to Barcelona and Real Madrid.I think that they can be sure that the third place is theirs,just look at their last 5 games,5 wins out of 5 games shows that they truly deserve to be there fighting although highly unlikely them to be disruptive to Real or Barcelona.

Although Atletico Madrid is behind in terms of progress, they are able to attack well in this match. From the beginning of the game, all teams attacked, at one point Atletico Madrid managed to score three goals.

Atletico played their defensive scheme at the start of the match but indeed they still experienced an advantage even though they had to fall behind in possession but for the second half they were much braver after winning 3 goals.

Being 7 points behind Real Soceidad isn't a big deal to me because they'll catch up and cover up the point difference if they keep playing and winning games like this. Today's game should serve as a confidence booster and motivation for them to keep their hopes of finishing in the top four of the La Liga table alive.

I'm actually worried about Celta Vigo rather than Malloca, the defeat they just got has made them fail to improve their ranking. Being in 16th position with 17 points does not guarantee that Celta Vigo will stay in La Liga. The difference in points with the teams in the Relegation Zone is quite close, Celta Vigo has played 18 games, while Real Valladolid, Cadiz and Sevilla have only played 17 matches.
Sevilla looking to get out of the Relegation Zone can be a threat to Celta Vigo. They could fall into the Red Zone if they don't put in their best form in this side this season.

Celta have something to worry about, next 4 games in La Liga they will have very difficult opponents: Athletic, Betis, Atletico and Sociedad are all from top of the table and most likely they will not earn many points in these matches. Sevilla (with the exception of Barcelona) will have much easier opponents, so Sevilla should score points, being in the relegation zone is inappropriate for such a team. But they will also start EL matches soon, this is an additional burden on the team.

I do agree that there is a bit of a tough spot for them but at the same time if you are a team that is going to have hard time with beating your opponents, then you should be relegating to start off with. I mean as a team all you need is about 10 wins out of 30-40 games, which is not really that hard, and you could lower that and have some more draws instead, which would help you to stay as well.
I guess that the best thing for a team that can't reach those levels would be relegating and then rebuilding the team from cheaper but more fired up players and get back on the league again. Celta looks like they are not good at all right now, maybe a year or two at second division would help.

Celta Vigo does have some very hard matches coming up. At least the next four matches for them are going to be very hard. And after that, they are going to face Real Valladolid. Which is also not going to be very easy compared to their standards right now. And if they do not play well, actually if they lose all of the four matches before that they are going to be behind Real Valladolid on the table. They will have to win at least one out of those four matches. Otherwise, they will be going on a downward spiral. And it will be very hard for them to stay out of the relegation zone.

Rakitic seemed to had been a bit underperforming these days in my opinion. The whole team infact need to do better. Rakitic however, delivered his team when the time came. Sevilla really needed the win and the next matches that come along. A lose further is not good at all for them.

This match is very interesting but in the end Sevilla can win. Now they can stay away from relegation zone for awhile, they are reasonable to win today match against Cadiz. I also think they are still capable of compete in La Liga, because today they dominated this match very well. Although Sevilla luck today was due from Cadiz player yes he is Alejo, It seems Sergio would really regretted doing the substitution Bongonda with Alejo in the 70th minute.

I wasn't surprised to see the scoreboard the way it is at the end of the match because right from the start Sevilla showed much more winning passion than Cadiz. The game became much more fierce in the second half with about 7 shorts on target from servile Cadiz was completely defensive at this point and this led to them conceding a late-minute goal. But Cadiz as well wasn't an easy side to deal with.

Sevilla is struggling to score and win this season. I am a bit surprised how they were fighting for the first spots previously and now they are hovering around the relegation zone. They aren't safe at all of relegation. Winning by a penalty doesn't reassure anyone honestly..

What's the point of him not being happy? As Barcelona coach, Xavi has won the Spanish Super Cup for the first time. Since 2010, Ancelotti had not lost a final, but Barca topped Real Madrid following the impressive performance in the domestic league. .....

I'm sure Xavi was very happy with the win, but that doesn't make him very satisfied, because he still has goals that they still have to fight for, namely La Liga and also the European League. But at least, this can be a little medicine for their lack of success in the Champions League although it may not be able to cure 100%. They continue to strive to play very well, Xavi encourages and coaches them. That's why La Liga is more interesting now than it was last season, isn't it? I would like to slightly correct you there my friend. Ancelotti has lost 3 finals including the Barcelona one. And I also think alike that Xavi has happy, but not satisfied with winning the trophy. If you look back 1 year, Barcelona were in shambles and Xavi single-handedly turned around this club from a mess into a well-structured one as a result, they have now won the Spanish cup. So I think they are happy but hungry for kore titles.
