We didn't see many goals in yesterday's games, but there were important matches and results that will affect the course of the league. Barcelona beat Valencia 1-0 at home.  Barcelona managed to break Valencia's resistance by scoring an early goal, but couldn't reflect this in the second half. A missed penalty early in the second half and a red card afterwards left Valencia in control of the game. But Valencia couldn't find a goal and the match ended 1-0.
The other important match of the day was real Madrid, who drew away to betis. With this loss, the point difference with Barcelona increased to 9 points. It would have been better for them if they had won this match. Betis are a team in form and they play well. It was also difficult to beat them at home and real madrid couldn't do it.

Honestly, even with the red card, Barcelona managed to get the win and that's what matters. They are still 9 points ahead and that's all they need, we have like 14 more games left, so 9 points is not a huge deal, there are total of 42 points that could be collected, in which case we all know no team will get 42 points from them, but we need to look at 9 point difference for Real to win, like maybe 25 to 34?

Unlikely for Barcelona to get 25 out of 42, but that could be a possibility, max is Barcelona getting 34 points out of 42, if they do that then Real can't win, and I think that's not impossible neither, but assuming Barcelona to lose 9 points more than Real would, is even more unlikely.

The La Liga is the biggest tournament Barcelona have in their hands from now on. Their main target is to win the league title no matter what and they are very good at it so far.

Their next game is going to be an away one against Athletic Bilbao. Athletic Bilbao are in bad shape so they wouldn't be a big obstacle for Barcelona. I'm just not happy with the current situation in the league. Because I was expecting to see a big fight between Barcelona and Real Madrid until the end of the season. But Barcelona look like they have finished the season early.

do not underestimate Athletic Bilbao, they can surprise Barcelona for sure, but speaking on the winner of La liga, Barca seem to be so close that i could say they won it, before even the season ends, they already have a foot in and Real Madrid are not showing a good pace so far.

Real Betis' 1 point from Real Madrid made Barcelona happy the most.  Barcelona is focused on the championship in la liga, and they know how to use Real Madrid's double trophy to their advantage.  If Barcelona continues unscathed, Real Madrid will only be second at the end of the season.  In this case, if there is a champions league championship, la liga second place will not be a problem.

Barcelona did well from this match, because Valencia players really prepared well to disgrace Barcelona by reducing their points but Barcelona coach never allow such thing to happen than to make use of the players that know how to work hard to achieve early goals to start the match. Last night game was a tough one, I expected to see more goals but it turned out both teams came with a defensive strategy. Barcelona were able to score just a goal and focused on defending their goal for the rest of the game. It was an exciting match, even though the goals were not there. The most important thing is Barcelona winning the game and extending their lead to 9 points clear off Real Madrid who failed to win their game.

The next game against Real Madrid in Copa del Rey is half of the trophy. If they win that game they are the absolute in favorite in the final round. I know you should not estimate any opponent in the final as they have made their way through as well and eliminated a lot of good teams along the way, but you can't get any closer to the trophy once you eliminated Real Madrid in the semi finals.

In La Liga Barcelona can now only lose anymore. With so many points between them and Real Madrid, there are no excuses anymore should they not win the title in the end. Xavi is safe no matter what. I think even if he doesn't win the Copa del Rey, his position is firmly accepted within the club.

The only problem they are going to face for next season is the suspension from buying new players. Offensively they are ok if most of the players are available and fit, but they might want to watch out for one or two strong guys during the next transfer period. But perhaps they are not allowed to do so. Time will tell in the next few months.

It depends on the Copa del Rey. If Real Madrid fall out of the Copa del Rey, they will focus on LaLiga and UCL. For now Real Madrid has a busy schedule, so their performance has decreased. They are too tired for every week.

Not sure why you bring Real Madrid when uchegod-21 just talking about Barcelona. Though, that's a lame excuse by saying you can finally focus on a competition if you fail the other one. You play in multiple games at once because you have capability and well-deep squad for that.

Standing with 9 point is a big conviction they will lift the trophy. And if they also succeed in defeating Real Madrid in the second leg of Copa del Rey semi-finals they will still increase their chance of winning that as well. With Super Copa de Espania, the league title and Copa del Rey in their bag Xavi won't end the season completely empty.

Bilbao may able to prevent barcelona to get full points but as you said that barcelona just like have some lives to be tried to get la liga's title. 9 points gap is really big. Atletico need to secure their position in third place from the pursuit of Real Sociedad, entering week 24 the two teams are only one point apart. The big win that Atletico won over Sevilla was very important for Atletico in maintaining its position in the top four.
