I agree with you, exactly as you have explained it, he will be proud of getting the jersey number of a legend which I believe he knows the task ahead of him as someone putting on the jersey number but this will also motivate him to really perform like the legend who he's taking the jersey number or do more better than the legend him self we never can tell.

They play at different positions and have different styles and it's not fair to compare them with each other.

Zidane is like a play maker, a traditional number 10 and in modern football, in the last 10 years, we barely see such players. I think that madrid has been saying if the club will not sign mbappe even though PSG intend to sell him this summer. It's caused by real madrid shall have control its financial to comply with FFP.
Im sure mbappe will be priced as high as bellingham. It's caused by PSG bought him with a very high price from monaco. PSG is not willing to lose a lot of money. that's why selling mbappe gonna be the best way to recover at least 50% from the amounts used by to bought him from monaco.

I think some injuries are just way too terrible for the body but also psychology as well, some people never come back from big injuries no matter how great they are.

I always give the same example, Kobe tore his ACL, and he was never the same Kobe as he was after that, and this guy is one of the elite work ethic people in the entire sports history, there are some other examples but he is one of the biggest names ever in any sports when you talk about work ethic, this dude worked 12 hours a day on summers all summer long with a broken hand once, just to make sure he could score with the other hand or at least improve his defense.
