I would actually quote more. I am glad to see the the Western media are starting to wake up. The country’s caretaker government can be accused of trying to blow out flickering hopes of peace by launching a military operation on one of the most revered anniversaries in the Russian-speaking half of the country, the commemoration of victory over Nazi Germany.
The military action is accompanied by stridently aggressive rhetoric from politicians in Kiev who are crowing about the numbers of “terrorists” killed and threatening further lethal punishment.
By the evening there are differing body counts ranging from 20 to five, with around another 25 injured. But the accuracy of statistics has meant little in this confrontation. What matters is the perception. For many in this port on the Azov Sea, today greatly reinforced the view – relentlessly promoted by the separatist leadership – that fascists from the west of the country are coming to attack.
“This is not about 2014 in Ukraine, this is taking us back to Berlin in 1945, that is what they want to avenge, the defeat of their Nazi masters”, is the view of Captain Zorin Aleksandr Nicolaivitch, who spent 18 years in the navy.

Lawlessness in Mariupol. 15 videos. Several videos detail a murder of an unarmed civilian with a shot in the head. Shooting with RPG at a building. APC opening fire at a crowd. Tanks on rampage.

LOL Well, this is actually not a laughing matter: Friends, something must be done about the referendum in the East. We can't influence the fact that it will be conducted and that 85% will vote for joining Russia. If we prohibit it or somehow disperse it using force - they'll say that we are shutting people up, etc.
Here's what I suggest: we must obtain a voting ballot and create our own copies, lots of copies, and start distributing them wherever we can, push into post boxes, give away on the streets, intersections, squares. All this should be documented and pushed to the mass media.
The goal is simple - to demonstrate that this is all bullshit, so that every granny in every village understands this. That results can be falsified easily. Then the referendum will be discredited.

Indeed , no laughing about this one. We had on the last election a village where more than 100% of the population voted there. It was claimed that tourists voted there ... in a remote village where probably no tourist even set foot or there is no hotel, there were more than 180% votes compared to the actual population.

Well, ballots should be accepted only against proper ID and checked against resident lists, so that the same person cannot vote more than once. And the voting locations must be properly guarded to avoid armed sabotage and destruction/mixing up of the ballots. I am afraid the latter may happen.

They started with the police officers, who approved of the idea of an independent Donetsk People’s Republic… If you go online and search through the social media, you’ll quickly come across videos of people being shot in the streets. How can one possibly conduct a military operation against peaceful citizens, unarmed and unable to fight back?”
