Then they should stop doing such threats in their 'voice of russia " propaganda.

Most of the times, both the sides are to be blamed for spreading propaganda, and I believe it is not different here.

BTW, residents of Kramatorsk are also beginning to abandon their homes. Some 20% of the city population has so far done so. Once Slavyansk falls, Kramatorsk will be the next major target.

He admits that he is losing the battle, as his troops don't have any artillery or air-power. The rebel fighters are unable to take out the artillery guns, as they are located some 2+ km away from the city.

Situation is dangerous, but that is PR for some activation for Human Disaster aids from Russia and other parts.

He only wait to shoot some Kiev troops, if they come closer.

There is no battle, only bombarding of city from Kiev maniacs.

Fighters are safe from artillery and mines, if they stay not in open space.

He didn't admit he's losing the battle. The purpose of that article was propaganda against Poroshenko, that the Ukrainians were still bombarding even with his election to the Presidency so he was painting the situation in such a way that they were the underdogs & they will still be the underdogs with the coming President. It was an article meant to gain sympathy from Russian readers, but do you really believe they will not come ahead in this situation considering they are near Russia? You can actually feel the quiet confidence in Strelkov.

I am new in this thread but I found myself rooting for the rebels. I just read that Russia is now the richest country in Europe by GDP-PPP (purchasing power parity, which is the most accurate measurement of wealth). THe GDP-PPP of Russia for 2013 is $3.4 trillion vs. Germany's $3.3 trillion, then Russia is the biggest luxury-market in Europe, then here come these unlucky Russians who found themselves trapped with the poor Ukrainians (GDP of Ukraine is $175 billion which is Africa level). Just imagine being separated from your family which is now flying high & only a border separate them from your misery (salary in Russia is 4-10x that of Ukraine)!!

Most Russians do not have access to this large pile of money.  Many Russians still live on just a few money on a farm. You may be lucky to earn $400 a month in Russia;
 Average salary in moscow is $200-$500, whereas average salary in germany is around $2000. You can find a map here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_in_Europe_by_monthly_average_wage
Ukraine is currently being invaded by foreign countries (US, Russia etc) and so their average salary is likely to go lower.

They've already lost control over Kramatorsk a month ago and what happened afterwards? As soon as Ukrainian troops moved out, rebels restored their positions. It's impossible to wage war against people and to control territory when majority of locals wants you out.

Moscow Monthly Wage on Average $1,800

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/moscow-monthly-wage-on-average-1800/487138.html

Quote
Monthly wages in Moscow average at about 57,000 rubes ($1,800), although most workers receive substantially less than that, a city official said.

“It is not that we all live affluently here, it is related to the fact that in Moscow there is a big rift between the low-paid and the high-paid,” Deputy Mayor for Social Development Leonid Pechatnikov said, m24.ru reported.

The differences between the salaries of Russian managers and their subordinates is among the highest in the world, and it is growing, a study by the international consulting company Hay Group showed, Vedomosti reported.

Russian managers in 2013 earn on average 12.5 times more than the workers beneath them, up from 11.1 times more in 2011.

Well , the article tells a different story .......from the western Europe.
It's just like here in .ro where we have a huge average wage for Bucharest compared to the rest of the country that is not reflected in the real life , just because there are a few thousands wages that exceed 10000 euros/month that pull up the average while a worker at a hypermarket deals with 200 euros a month.

It would be interesting to compare wages by profession.

Btw, there is a kind of own variation of "Cold War" inside RF. Cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg are independent from their regions, Moscow region and Leningrad region. There are separate Government of Moscow and Government of Moscow region, Government of St. Petersburg and Government of Leningrad Region. Independent executive and legislative power branches, taxation, etc. And they're continuosly fighting for the territories. Usually it is shown in the form of countless lawsuits. Grin

P.S. 50,000-55,000 rubles is a wage of typical office worker in Moscow. If we consider the concentration of head offices here, I think that average salary should be closer to this value.

Average salary in moscow is $200-$500, whereas average salary in germany is around $2000.

Do you always talk this BS, or do you take a rest in between those volleys?

Moscow Monthly Wage on Average $1,800

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/business/article/moscow-monthly-wage-on-average-1800/487138.html

Have a look here : http://www.worldsalaries.org/russia.shtml
And here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_average_wage

Keep in mind Moscow is not representative for all of Russia. Moscow is expensive for many Russians.
Average wage $1,215 - its much lower than average wage in Germany $2,720. Ok I was a bit off, but the salary is way lower;
