No one should blame Abubakar for taking off his cloth after his goal against Brazil, he didn't just score a goal but he also scored the only goal in the match and the winning goal for his country Cameroon. The prolific striker was not just excited about scoring the goal but he was full of happiness for breaking the long history for all Africans as the only player to score a goal to defeat Brazil I think he was aware of the offense but since the goal and win couldn't take them to the knockout stage, the celebration was the only thing that matters to him and no one should blame him for doing what he did. Africans are proud of him even the referee that gave the card it shows in his smile when the striker shook his hands before leaving the pitch.

Who's blaming Abubakar I would had done the same thing if I was the scorer of that beautiful header. He didn't just score a goal (like an equalizing goal) but a match winner. Even though he knows Cameroon wouldn't be playing the next stage of the tournament, he needed a highlight after been impressive in this tournament and yet not been talked about. The last match he also scored what I'll consider the best goal so far in the tournament and provided an assist for their comeback that ended 3:3 against Serbia. For a player who hasn't had a breakthrough career for club football (like not playing at the top clubs, winning well recognized individual medals), he truely needed that moment for himself not minding what the outcome will be.

The red card doesn't put his teammate at risk neither because he knows they're going home after that game. My only worries was for that goal to not have been cancelled as they would had been very frustrating considering the red card won't be revoke. VAR can do wonders as we mightn't know what they'll use to disqualified goals at any given moment. Also Cameroon winning Brazil, that's another achievement as it looks unreal, they done us prove.

Morocco have shown good spirit and sportsmanship so far in the World Cup, even being one of the dugout teams they still proved they can compete against even the toughest of nations in the world cup and I'm very proud of them. This is how I expect every other African nation to play but it turns out only a few are able to give this level of performance and I won't be surprised that Morocco could still have more shocking results for the world in tbe world cup.

From the performance I have seen in Morocco players in this world cup is very impressive.  I see Morocco as the best in performance among Africa teams in the world cup.  This is the first world cup for me to see Morocco in their best performance,  atleast it will make them have a winning mentality in every competition.

I am so much impressed by the performance of African team and especially the Morroco. I was expecting them to just qualify but they pulled a surprise to lead their group. I don't even know if to say it was a misfortune to them. People that leads their group was supposed to meet a weaker team I the second position, but Morocco is meeting Spain. I saw the video, he was using Maguire as a case study to what is going on in the country, I was shocked the majority of the Reps had no idea who Maguire was from the reaction on their faces when he started the story but burst into heavy laughter when he finally told how unfortunate they guy is. The African team has performed better than I expected; they have made significant contributions thus far, and based on current trends, we may have an African semi-finalist.

More like economical Maguire lol, the video was funny and the speaker was actually making sense but what was more funny to me was the way Ghanaian players acted towards Luis Suarez and the whole Uruguay squad during the handshake at the start of their match but yet they couldn't get the revenge they were so hungry for.  A. Ayew was even one of the players that carried the whole revenge agenda on his shoulder but yet he couldn't put one at the back of the net for his country. The parliament speaker should had used him (A. Ayew) as an example instead of Maguire but I guess the speaker wanted to use a more relatable players and probably go viral as he has gone.

The success of the underdogs is always encouraging, but they also have unpleasant consequences. For example, the 1/8 round seems completely boring to me - real epic battles will begin from the 1/4 finals: England - France, the Netherlands - Argentina, etc. I think everyone will agree that such games are much more interesting to watch than for example Morocco - Portugal (if Morocco can beat Spain, and Portugal can beat Switzerland).

I am afraid that Spain didn't show its full potential yet and managed to end second (I know it is only a conspiracy theory for some, so I will not argue with that). Now whether it was the case or not, I would like to see them getting the first plane to Spain soon after the game ends
Morocco has a historical chance to advance and they shouldn't waste it! Senegal chances is low but I still prefer to see them winning. We will see how the game will be soon.

I am seeing that Senegal wins the poll proposed in this thread, Morocco also has a good chance and in fact I think that its chances are better than Senegal, luck for the African teams, on this side of the world we believe that we will have two teams in the top 8 that Surely if they advance they will have a match between them (semifinals), a world cup classic.

For some years it has always been said that an African team will win the world cup before an Asian one, but I think that time is running out... Senegal and Morocco, we'll see, so luck for these two teams.

Senegal is a good team and they have an experienced coach. When I saw their line up and formation, I knew they know what they are doing. Senegal play 4-5-1 in order to choke the defence and frustrate England. For them to be hopeful is that they shouldn't conceive 1st half. This is what Ghana was supposed to do, but they went and conceived 2 goals in the first half.

Senegal is on it again, they are playing well against England. Anyone bet against England is finished. England is going to win the match. England just score a goal. But Senegal can perform a miracle to win the game. England is having good shots, Senegal might draw the game but that is probability because England now is oppressing Senegal. Morocco has more chances to qualify for the semifinal. England is really more stronger than before. Even the first three matches were not tough as this match.

Cameroon did us proud, and like almost all the Africa countries did in this world cup. It is not easy to play at the world stage from leagues that are characterized by bribe for selection. We heard the bribe accusation against the Cameroonian FA. This was why I said we should not call any African team disgraceful when the tournament started with just a game played and most of them did not get victory. Who would have believed Cameroon would defeat Brazil. Everybody wrote them off and gave the game to Brazil. Just like Saudi defeated Argentina in an upset, the same miracle Cameroon performed against Brazil. It is an upset.

The match ended in a 3:0 score and the winner goes to England, though a bit disappointed at the way the game turned out, but in sincerity and reality, Senegal beating England in this match would have been a big shock and surprise to many, so I honestly do not judge the Senegal team, they did their best, England we all know is a powerful team and can't be compared to Senegal, and even to add that Mane, which the major player in thr Senegalese team wasn't in the game.
So I would say congratulations to England for winning the Match, and also congrats to Senegal, they did their best just that the best they did wasn't good enough.

I was not even expecting Senegal will reach to the semi final with the absent of Sadio Mane.  Senegal proved to fans that they can still play well even without have sadio Mane in the squad.  I was not expecting impressive effort from them. Senegal and Morocco represent Africa well.
