It's a shame and unfair play that the referee should have stopped the game. With lasers in their eyes, how could they shoot such crucial penalties? It's unbelievable how they let the laser thing go. It is FIFA's duty to investigate that matter and to penalize Senegal's football association for their failure to control their fans. In its World Cup playoff match against Senegal on Tuesday, the Egyptian football association asserted that its national team was subjected to racism. There should be investigation and punishment for any such attacks.

Yes, I also think that the execution of a penalty in such conditions when the players of one of the teams are shined a laser in the face is unfair and should be stopped by the referee. But the performance from the Nigeria team was not that bad but a bit below good, news I heard after the game was that, the fans was angry and got the stadium in Nigeria messed up.

In my opinion, there are many matches in the African zone qualifiers that should be rematched = Egypt vs Senegal and Cameroon vs Algeria too.

Senegal is one of the countries I predict to be very competitive in the 2022 World Cup, which will be held in Qatar. Senegal has a team that can make Africa proud, and I'm sure the continent as a whole will be delighted to have Senegal as a representative. Yes they're our best bet in the competition, Egypt can't progress with their style of play. It only worked against Africa teams became they don't have very offensive players with that much quality that can cause mistakes from defenders. As for the rematch, that won't be happening, the Egyptian are forgetting this is African football and things happen differently here.  We have one of the most craziest fans, haven't they seen the video form the Nigerian game as fans express their anger.

It's unrealistic. The referee did not stop the match and the result cannot be changed. I think that'll be too much asking an African nation to lift the trophy. We'll get there someday but currently we're not prepared for such glory although all nations going to the World cup are hoping on lifting the trophy. I think what the fans want is good football and not just been an extra going to the tournament. We need Africa teams to progress to later stages and also make a name for themselves. As for lifting the trophy nobody will question them for not lifting the trophy provided they can put in a good performance.

The only time the momentum was in favor of African was in 2010 when we hosted the world cup in South Africa. We could have used that advantage but we underperformed. I don't think any nation made it passed the group stages. African football is steadily growing and soon we'll be competing with the best country with so much rich football history.

Doubt FIFA will do anything about it. The problem is they don't enforce their rules very strictly, that's why fans can get away with things like that and still be proud that they disrespected the sport. Football is a very popular game on a lot of countries in the world, and it isn't hard to spot fans such as those who pointed lasers to Salah on crucial moments.

When it comes to sanction Senegal, I'm not sure that would be the best decision as, the Senegalese team could actually claim not to be responsible for the actions of there fans and that's true. These fans act out of there emotions and you can't blame a team for that.
The best that could b4 done and would have some effect is what you rightly suggested with the FIFA securities on checking the items fans carry along to the games. At least its doable and depending on how serious the FIFA security take up the duty, it could work just fine.
I would have said the stadiums might be of low standard but, if it can host international games and even in the heat of the pandemic was able to function in accordance with Covid-19 principles then, checking fans won't be a hard job to do.

Hakimi and ziyech are playing for morroco national team and they are qualified for world cup. What happened in these matches of qualifications is not acceptable we saw how the conditions effected egypte national team from the beginning of the match we saw how senegal fans used illegal lisers bothering egypt players especially in penalties, and i believe that egypt has always opened a dispute with fifa against this.
Also the same story with algeria when the referee canceled a legit goal for algeria and didn't give them a penalty as well. While he counted an unfair goal for cameroon.

I think if it was possible for the two teams to qualify they really deserve it, the two matches they played as of recent are very interesting, the qualifier also looks like a final match, both teams played fantastic football but unfortunately only one team can qualify
Mo Sallah was very confident that he would score I was expecting him to play the last penalty but it seems like the Egyptian trusted him to score after senegal had lost their first penalty, unfortunately Sallah disappointed them, Egypt would have been more OK to qualify than the Ghanaian team

Algeria apparently wants to have replayed the game against Cameroon. According to Algeria's management and players, bad decisions have been made by the arbitration. Unsportsmanlike? I think the committee will leave it at that and not let the game be replayed. Algeria should have just finished it at home, they had already won 0-1 away. 2022 world cup has come again, I pray that this time, the white referees should do well. And Africa has produced and prepare it  five (5) teams in the tournament.

This isn't about Africa football growing but fans controlling themselves. We also experience same kind of behavior from western fans. Haven't you seen clips of fans obstructing clubs games through violent behaviors. In Africa hardly will you see any one running into the field even though we have some big names in club/international football. Atleast our crazy comes after the game and not during the game. I'm not justifying the action of the fans but fans will always be fans.

Watch the European games and you'll see racist chanting and all sorts of recism but you won't find that among the African fans even though we have our differences. Nigeria fans reacting the way they did, is due to the frustration in the county and not that match itself. Many people came over so they can have some kind of break (happiness) from all that's happening in the country but our national team also disappointed us.
