The Super Eagles of Nigeria restores parity in the 22nd minutes through a penalty which was taken and scored by Williams Troost Ekong. It is now 1:1 apiece.

It would have been a disappointment if the super eagles had gone into halftime without getting an equalizer after putting up such a performance and maintaining the most possession in front of over One thousand home fans who to the look of it have come out to see the eagles qualify for the world cup. We had some clear chances, Victor Osimhen has been a tiger in front of goal exactly playing his role in front.

In this second half, super eagles have to go all out and still maintain a good defense, Ghana's away goal is going to count if the game ends this way, Ghana may choose to defend more, which may be a problem for the black stars, because i don't think they will be able to soak up the pressure in the second half. In the other game, Senegal 1-0 Egypt = 1-1 aggregate with both scoring at home so they will play penalties. Another random result incoming!

Frankly, Super Eagle does not deserve to be in any tournament, let alone the World cup. The team as it is presently is not in inform as they played in the Afcon. Congratulations to the Ghanaian team. First match and first unexpected result, Nigeria the favorite team to win was eliminated by Ghana.
Second match and second surprise, Senegal which was 1 goal behind on aggregate was able to score a goal in this game, play penalties and eliminate Egypt. 3 missed penalties by Egyptians including Salah...
3rd match and Cameroon is leading vs Algeria with 1 goal...
In the other two, Morocco is leading with 1 goal and Tunisia 0-0 Mali.

Super eagles disappointed Nigerians this evening at the Abuja stadium. They failed to qualify for the world cup for the first time since 2006. It's a tragedy for them, the super eagles were aiming for a win not a draw. While Ghana were put in front in the early 10th minutes of the game. All thanks to Thomas partey who gave Black stars the lead, sooner, Troost-Ekong netted the black stars goal post with a penalty in the 22th minutes of the game. Although I was expecting more goals in the second half, but Ghana later played a defensive game. Ghana have both options to qualify for the world cup, either a win or draw, luckily they drawed against Nigeria. Every Nigerians that watch the game is seriously in a devastating condition.

A sad day for Nigeria and Egypt. I agree with you, the super eagles recently are lacking concentrations in their games. there performance today was a bad one, they lack creativity in the game they played without focused. Drawing against Ghana was a unexpected results, I think the team really needs  a experience Coach, they played without tactics today it was a frustrated game by the super eagles, there performance today was so poor they needs to work on their play.

Unbelive after so many years Argentina and Nigeria cant share the same group. They are in the same group in Korea-Japan 2002, Sudafrica 2010 , Brasil 2014 and Russia 2018.

I only feel sad for Salah not for Egypt because they never played to win anything always playing defensive mode.

Honestly tonight I'm very disappointed and my enthusiasm is gone, I won 1-0 in the first leg but in the end Egypt lost on penalties, Moh one of the first kickers failed to score Mendy's goal, but I'm also very disappointed with Senegal fans always shooting leser towards Egypt goalkeeper, if Egypt kicks a penalty ball, Senegal fans are also busy shooting a leser in the face of an Egyptian player, I think FIFA should give a sanction to the Senegal national team.

Something told me Nigeria was going to lose out in this world cup qualifier and somehow I didn't have the zeal to watch the match but was following update. When Ghana opened score in the early minutes of the game I knew it was taking Nigeria to a tight corner and finally the match ending at 1-1 means Nigeria is out of the world cup race. Nigeria lost a big opportunity to play in the World Cup no thanks to their uncoordinated midfield display right to their attack and a blunder committed by their goalkeeper that allowed Partey long range shot to cut into the net, millions of their teeming will be disappointed by this lacklustre performance, they didn't play like a team and  their tactical approach to the game was very poor.
Egypt fought hard to qualify unfortunately couldn't make it after a penalty shootout thus another loss to their Senegalese opponentwho defeated them in the last AFCON final

I supported Nigeria all the way, but truth be told, we never deserved to qualify with that sort of performance. You are absolutely right, at some point in the game i began to wonder if the players actually knew what was at stake in this match, it was a very appalling performance to say the least and honestly i do not know where Nigeria can pick up from going forward, do we get a new coach? If yes, then who? But definitely we can't stick with Eguavoen, he looks all but clueless as regards what it takes to coach a football team, his tactics and all was basically just out of order, i don't know if he will get fired, but it very much looks like it, we have hired and fired a lot of managers down the years, and we are still yet to get it right. We have to go back to the drawing board at this point in time, and look for the best way to move the football of this great nation forward.

Not quite. Cameroon will be happy that it has now been able to force an extension in this match. The first match was already won by Algeria, that match was played in Cameroon. It's actually a miracle that Cameroon won this match 0-1. Nobody expected that. I expect Algeria to win this in extra time with 1-0 or 2-0

The midfield wasn't functioning you see, Aribo was absent in the game as I couldn't notice him in the game .
The so called Calvin guy our player that played leftback was shit.
It's good thing we lost, cause can't afford to see this in the FIFA World Cup.
