Just remember that secrets work both ways: how would you like it if someone said it was an 'open secret' that you're using asicminer chips? I think you owe the KNC people an apology.
We're developing our own ASICs. We're transparent from the get go.
Unlike KNC:
 - We don't publish "Q1/Q2" shipping dates.
 - We don't mine and compete with our customers.
 - KNC knows they won't be able to ship on Q2. This is why they came up with 'Plan B'
- Guess when they'll finally offer the hosting alternative. Probably the last day of Q2
From here: https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-82

...
The first customers (batch 1) are expected to be hashing in our data center in early June and the last customer will hash in our data center around the last week of June. All the customers will be able to hash in that data center for as long as we are late in shipping your Neptune product, this service will be provided on a best effort basis
...

KNC can provide the entire hash-rate to their customers right now. They've chosen not to do so and directly compete with their customers.
This kind of business practice we're committed to root out. We have long catch up to do, but we are determined to turn the below into useless pile of junks (i.e. obsolete and below electrically break-even) by delivering on-time much more power efficient hardware.

What is this...?...Could you elaborate...?

KNCminer's own mining farm in sweden.

I am sure your company has not been around as long as KNC so you never know, you might also go the route that KNC went, You'll be surprised what effect money could have on human beings, in 6 months or a year your Company Owner might say f___k the customers, let's use customer's money and build a mining center, no guarantees or how can we know that you don't have a sister company that gets the hardware first?

I wish your pricing was better, the mining business changes very rapidly, you need to provide pricing so that we could get our ROI in several months, no in a year.

if spondoolies want to be a viable business, they will surely not go the same route as KnC.
have you seen the sheer number of refunds those scam-merchants have in? I don't think the 'KnC route' is a viable long term business model - more a 'get rich quick' scheme.

Yes, I seen the sheer number of refunds, I also requested a refund the other day, some people do want 'get rich quick'.

Ain't gonna happen. Our business is producing and selling mining hardware. Our core belief is the need to distribute the hash-rate and maintain viable eco-system.

LOL
Won't happen.

Edit: Seriously. We know what we're doing. We've implemented much more complex ASICs and systems.
Partial talent list: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/pages/team

I bet 5 BTC against your delivery date. No problem to send the money escrow to you.

Facts, what can happen in the development of your product in time are endless long. And i am sure more than half of your projects you started were delayed or cancelled (what is so normal, see Intel, Tegra, AMD etc). Say different and its a lie.
Only 5 BTC ?

Put 25 BTC in escrow and post the details.

If we'll miss SP30 delivery dates, one "Farmer's choice" (http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/3-x-sp30-yukon-august-batch) is yours, free of charge.

Agree?

Edit: This offer expires in 2 hours
Edit2: The offer expired.

It saddens me to read this post, for I put you guys above conducting such shenanigans. I put my neck out quasi-endorsing you guys, and this is how I'm rewarded.

Outta all the marketing know how you guys possess, it would have better served you to politely ask posters who veer from what's expected in this thread, i.e. "I bet you...", to take it elsewhere, but you opted to chime in, going as far as taking and upping the bet. This does not bode well!

Do you guys have any idea how much market share you just lost due to this one post alone?

I hope so. I think all hardware makers will be having difficulty selling their gears since BTC prices are low and keeps going down, like other members said here you might be better off buying BTC, I am waiting for my refund to hit my bank account from KNC then I will decide what to do and waiting for you guys to deliver to some members here so that we could see more reviews etc.

That's how you handle errors. We are all human. I would be an ass it I continued this dialog, but it looks like it's not needed.

Always bear in mind that customers and non-customers (me, for one), alike, are watching you folks, for Bitcoin is at the core of your endeavor, and that's what we're looking out for whether it's miner makers, exchanges, scams in general, etc.

Thanks again, bud.

i'm not here to look professional, i'm here for the banter, and because mining is a hobby. However I do conduct myself in the same manner when I speak to the First Minister of Scotland, and we have a laugh - he calls me bitter, i prefer ale Wink

We've been delivering in the last 3 weeks, quite a lot actually...
The fact that you don't hear anything in this thread is a good sign, not bad.

since the bctalk forum restrictions were opened up to any old (and new) troll... i've found the intellectual conversation take a nose-dive and the fun banter turn into (sometimes) sheer hatred.

if you look up the thread, you are likely to find equal numbers of posts by 'new' members trying their damnedest to play down the efforts of spondoolies (yes, i've been sticking up for them) and as Mr Sp says; quiet speaks volumes.

SP10/Dawson received. It's hashing nicely at around 1370 GH/s on "Normal". Front/back temps are 22C and 73C. It's running on 115V. Thanks, Spondoolies.

quite true. i'm itching to get my hands on something from spondoolies, unfortunately, as always I'm missing the boat at every turn. my old uncle has left some rare stamps in his will so it may be a possibility that I can join the queue at sometime in the near future. I just had this hunch from the very start that these guys will be around for a very long time, with more and more to offer to feed my mining obsession. As a business owner myself (albeit in a dying industry), I take my hat off to anyone who ventures into something for the long term. After 16 years doing what I do, it's coming to an end and I can at least say, i did my best.

That picture of a massive farm should send shivers down everyone's spine. Does it mean the end of diversity and spreading the network to a wider base? It might if people who care about bitcoin and cryptocurrency continue acting on their own. There is value in working within groups and collectives to help secure the network away from those LARGER farms. Spondoolies is making a promise to those who want to disrupt that ecosystem that they will be there with chips and miners. I am hoping that it is true and people do join together and secure the network differently. Spondoolies is just one company here is hoping others take up that same challenge and offer chips and miners to a growing group of collectives that are keen on making it impossible to have monopolies on mining in any form.
