I'll check why you didn't get the compensation email. We'll ship your miner as well.
I apologize for the honest mistake.

Regards,

Plug in power. (make sure you use atleast a 220V socket for optimal performance)
Connect to network.

Go to myminer.io and click on your miner. (From a computer on the same network)

Put in pools via the webui and upgrade the firmware to the latest version.

If there are any more questions just post.

Lol cheers. Very complicated :-) Waiting for my mienrs to be delivered tomorrow.

Btw, Bitcrane has released water cooled miner. Takes shit loads of power though. About 1W/Gh.
They sell from stock. Quite expensive too.

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/review-bitcrane-t-110-1-1-ths-watercooled-bitcoin-asic-miner/2014/08/28

Would it make sense for S-T to apply such cncept for their next generation miners?

Spondoolies manages to cool 3kW in a 2U unit, which is a very good density.

Watercooling adds unneccesarry costs to the cooling setup, making the miner more expensive.

Besides, who needs more density than possible 60kW per rack?

You can get higher density designs by immersion cooling, but that adds around 0.5$/W as one-time facility costs.
(You don´t need to build a datacenter though, but units should be optimised / designed for immersion first)

You and me have different goals in mind. I am in for the long term while you are satisfied with a small jackpot. The reinvestment allowed me to hash today 21x faster than 1 year ago and to earn ~1/3 of my initial investment this month. From what you are saying you have stopped hashing and you have moved along. I'm not interested in that.

Difficulty now: Aug 19 2014   23,844,670,039      170,686,797 GH/s
Difficultly 1 year ago: Aug 24 2013   65,750,060      470,657 GH/s
As a ratio: 23,844,670,039/65,750,060 = ~362
So difficulty has gone up 362 times, but your hash power has only gone up 21 times.
You are hashing at roughly 1/17th the equivalent rate from a year ago.
Stopping hashing and keeping the money would seem to have been the better outcome.
As someone else posted, this looks like a perfect example of chasing diminishing returns.

Keeping up with the difficulty is almost impossible, but keeping the profits on the green is easier. I can't stop hashing because bitcoin mining is that profitable that even if the above ratio is way off I am still making a profit. If I would've stopped hashing I would've made 0 BTC and 0$.

Perhaps your original post was misunderstood, but this analysis:
My 1 year track record is that I have cashed out around 60% of my initial investment, I have reinvested into new equipment ~150% of my initial investment and I own bitcoins worth of 90% of my initial investment. With big exchange rate swings ofc.

huh ?

So by way of example if your initial investment was $1000, you cashed out $600, you reinvested $1500 (600 + 900 more) and you own bitcoins (which I presume you mined with these investments) worth $900. So at this point, you have $1900 invested and coins worth $900.

So you are still $1000 in the hole on this 'investment'. I guess your plan is to rinse and repeat this remarkable strategy.

Suggests that you don't have any profits, you currently have significant losses.

It basically gives you the option of receiving an 18% cash refund or a 21% voucher, according to your payment amount.

Miners ordered after a certain date get a 25% refund or slighlty higher voucher, afaik. (as the hashrate was then advertised as 6Th)

Don't think the 2nd sentence is accurate.

Further to my post a couple of pages back and an email to Spondoolies I bought when it was 6-6.5TH and was told they understood but the 18%/21% was the best they would do.

Regards,
Guy

I also have not gotten a confirmation email of any kind on the GB nor a reply on your forwarding of my refund request (email
by you that you forwarded it to the people in charge)
on such to the folks in sales you sent me a copy of..also sent you an email....this talk of shipping you can't get a refund
figure I better follow up in that I've gotten no reply from the folks your forwarded the refund request to...nor any info
like the compensation letter folks seem to be getting...so I'll post this here just in case followup is needed (also sent
email on timeline I should expect on this)

anyway just in case (the if it ships its yours makes me nervous in that you sent the refund request to the folks listed
in the email to me from your
last email 3 days ago)...i've heard nothing .no compensation letter as people have quoted here and no contact on now
3 day old refund reguest

also again a  simple 'go away it is on the works' and I will shuffle off and away

Hey Guy -- received my tracking number today, thank you

I have 2 outstanding questions regarding the compensation email I sent to sales earlier this week that I'll repeat here:

1) Since I paid in BTC, can you refund in BTC rather than bank wire?
2) Is the coupon transferable?

Better to do SW upgrade from WebUI - but there are 10% chance it wont manage to reboot - so do it when 'guys' are there Smiley

I don't remember what 24 exactly is, but I solved a couple of issues since.

got an email again from Guy at spondoolies...it is all good and on track for my GB refund with my GB refund on the hosting too
just so people here know ..but as I expected they are getting hammered and are way way busy...anyway thank you
spondoolies you did not have to offer the refund to GB users...and I will order in the future ...just not at this time...and
will get  you enough referrals that I should be able to make up the loss of what was 'actually' supposed to be a 'hobby'
home unit at 6TH to a better host it at a farm 4.5Th unit it is now...so again will continue to refer others and I myself
will wait a bit before ordering again as my circumstances improve

anyway for those who want to know if they are going to get a reply on the GB refund request and have not heard yet
