Hi Spondoolies ...
Contact sales@ and we'll work something out.
We can't reduce our hosting costs due to the electricity cost in Israel. We're hosting at our own cost.
What we can do is ship to a cheaper DC operated by one of our partners.

Spondoolies: a question...
Is there a hardware ID or other identifier (other than a order number) that would identify a machine.
Is this information being transmitted to the owner upon order fulfillment?
The reason-in a hosting environment, with many machines coming and going, mistakes could be made.
How can we ensure that a particular miner is mine and not someone else's?
I know that this is not your problem, but S3 all look the same and if there was such an ID, I don't know where to look (in case of S3)
The machines has serial ID.

We are not asking for something for free here, some of us have invested everything we have into this and that's a BIG risk and we TRUSTED you and your company only to be BETRAYED the way we did.

Also I suggest you maintain a public record of what order you have shipped/delivered so far on your Website so that we who are waiting can at least have an idea on how long we have to wait, because when we ask you you don't have an ETA and sometimes we don't even get a response to our emails. If you do this then the amount of emails that will be sent to you will reduce by a lot so it's a good idea to implement this.

Amen brother.
At first, no one trusted them.  Then, they laid on the very heavy assurances: "Seriously, we know what we are doing", "we will deliver", et cetera.  So then, everyone trusted them and sent a shitload of money.  They said they weren't like the other guys.

Now, they fail to deliver.  Deliver a very inferior version which costs more to operate.  Don't tell anyone about the compensation details.  Don't answer emails.  Don't inform as to the state of manufacturing progress.  Lies, silence, and bullshit.

They are now just like KnC.

Why the fuck should they care?  They already got your $$$.  "We are not like the other guys" is just bullcrap to win your trust.  They are exactly like the other guys.

They said they'd be sending out massive amounts of GroupBuy at the end of this week.  Nothing.

Has anyone heard an apology for us having to listen to their supreme confidence while having to suffer the financial loss of a low performance machine?  Nope.

Well they have the chance now to prove themselves to show IF they care or NOT, let's see what they have to say about this now.

Personally I can understand that sometimes things can fall short with new technology etc and I have NO problem with that, the problem I have is that they didn't FULLY compensate us for their short coming and that is NOT fair, we are losing a lot still, even with their current compensation plan of $/GH value.

If you wanted to make up for this Spondoolies and (We really hope you do) you would fix the hosting costs for the affected people and perhaps as a "Sorry" for all the issues you cost Us, offer us a one time first buy/first shipment of one of your future products that we may want to get since we lost mining time (a lot of mining time).

Yeah right.  When ... gets a broken machine, you can bet it will never be one of 'his'.  Rather, only the customer machines will be those poorly performing and subject to malfunctions.  The joy of being the host I guess.  lol.  Suckers.

Please do not associate your fantasies with my posts. I simply asked a technical question.

Contact sales@ and we'll work something out.
We can't reduce our hosting costs due to the electricity cost in Israel. We're hosting at our own cost.
What we can do is ship to a cheaper DC operated by one of our partners.

Shipping to another provider is NOT a solution Spondoolies. We want our Machines hosted and taken care of by you because you have parts and expertise should anything go wrong etc.

If you can't adjust the hosting costs due to costs of electricity then fine, you maybe able to do something else to compensate. For example for people like me that went all out to pay a lot of $$$ to you, a wholesale price for me from now on wards on the devices I purchase would not be a bad idea. Maybe throw in additional X amount of SP30s to run for about 1-2 months (depending on how long you made us wait).

There are so many ways you can compensate us but you don't do it, Why? You don't listen to our advise or feedback, Why?

Look everyone makes mistakes and we can all improve, and it's not too late for you to introduce a better solution for your affected customers. You did provide at one stage lower hosting costs for August batch, why didn't you extend that to us that were affected in September...

We're working with various partners with excellent technical skills and the ability to maintain the SP30 at peak efficiency.
It's the long term solution anyhow, because the electricity cost in Israel is way too expensive.
Hosting with us should be considered a short term solution for few months. For the long tail, it makes much more sense to host elsewhere.

Edit: We already ran out of capacity in our 1MW DC.
We're augmenting the web site to allow selecting a DC from a list of approved partners when ordering.

I don't know why anyone would buy/produce a1 miners when the chips are twice as expensive as BE200.
AM wasn't able to sell their inferior gen3 in China, this is why they reverted to self-mining and selling miners again.
We're getting 2 requests each day from system integrators that currently using A1. Take a look at Discuss Fish growth

Doesn't answer my question at all. Why is BE200 "inferior" despite being half the cost and equally efficient?

And what do you mean they weren't able to sell in china? How much PH do you think AM sold?
Do enlighten me about A1 cost. I find it amusing.
And I can't help it (too tired): apparently not enough to distribute some dividends Wink

AM margins on the Tube are very low. It was done mainly as another attempt to recover the investment done in gen3 wafers.
AM went all in and need to recover some of the $ before they won't be able to.

And on the miner physically.

I am sure that you have this covered, but assuming that buyer has no physical contact with the machine(s), some other ID process has to be in place.
For example, buyer gets a shipping email with machine's serial number, then logs in into "his" machine at the hosting site, checks the Serial number in the FW/SW and that should be the same as in his/her email-it is all good. You would think that people cannot make such mistakes (misplace, mislabel, etc), but as a matter of fact they do, especially since there is nothing to distinguish one machine from another (color, etc.). I would actually suggest for hosting sites with hundreds of machines some form of barcoding with double label-one goes on the machine, another into customers file and they have to match. There are barcoding printers that can do a small double label.

All of our colocated machines are labeled and marked to a customers account, and contract; and if ordered from us their Minersource account and customer details on the store. Even their incoming boxes get labeled Smiley

This is a future solution for your own problem (not ours) because you can't host/accommodate everyone, and not being able to get people up and running with their devices will mean people will buy less from you (I wouldn't have bought if you couldn't host for me for example).

It's good that you are making arrangements for other qualified people to host on your behalf but that doesn't solve our current situation where in Us your BIG customers of $100,000+ are affected. Those that have 1-2 machines only lose a small amount (Which they shouldn't have to lose anyway to begin with) and we that pay so much lose a lot more, so we can't stand for that.

Don't push the problem away, provide a solution so that all your customers (especially the big ones like me) are happy and that will encourage more future business due to customer returning to buy more and recommending your services to others. You need to think of it as a happy customer = better business for you long term if you wanted to stay in the business that is.

Wissam,
You've made your argument very clear. I've replied. We can't reduce our hosting costs or give further compensation.
I'm sorry you're unhappy about it. You're welcome to continue the discussion by emailing sales@

Guy

Edit: The solution I've purposed is relevant to any customer, big or small. Host for 1-2 months with us, ship to a cheaper DC afterwards.
Specifically in your case, your oder is September. You have enough time to select a DC. We'll return the hosting costs you've paid.

Yeah, but don't post here any longer - it is fucking up their good reputation.

Spondoolies this is an open forum and the only reason you want us to talk to you to your email (Which take 3 days to get a reply if we are lucky) is perhaps because you know that what you are doing is not right or good enough for your customers and you don't want others to see what your customers are experiencing with you. For the benefit of everyone in the World, who is even thinking of buying your products or hosting with you, it is important that this matter is discussed here in OPEN and public forum.

I don't mean to cause anyone any grief, especially your company, but the only way something will change is if everyone sees how you are treating your customers, because if you don't change you will lose business I PROMISE, not just from me but everyone else as well.

I will communicate via email privately once you have provided an adequate solution to me, so far your solution basically translates to "Don't host with us we are too expensive for you to afford and we are NOT going to do anything else to fix up our BIG mistake of not delivering what we promised".

You have the chance NOW to make everyone happy (especially your customers) and prove that you care for the interests of your customers who have trusted you with their life savings. Think long, hard and carefully about this before replying or saying that this is not a place to discuss. I am a customer that spent $125,900 USD so far and therefore EVERYONE will be watching this spot to hear and see what happens to me and what you do to your customers.
