According to the opinions expressed by the members of the league it seems the weekend is the most popular option to conduct the draft, wheelz has some problems with it but they stated they can make it Saturday night, so what do you think about conducting the draft on September 4th which is a Saturday between 7PM to 10PM EST?

This is not definitive obviously, I am just trying to get the ball going and see if we can finally agree on the date and hour the live draft will take place.

Well this isn't going to turn into a massive shit show as its never the second guy who gets caught. And no refs are going to use this to manipulate games either.

That's what happens when participation trophy generation grows up. We'll be soon handing out SB rings to everyone.

Sure, that sounds good good to me. I prefer closer to 7 PM but am willing to take the hit and stay up past bedtime in my peculiar time zone.

The NFL is cracking down big time on taunting, you won't get away with only 15-yard penalty anymore, for two violations, you'll be ejected from the game and face suspension   :

The NFL’s annual rule change and points of emphasis video notes game officials have been instructed to strictly enforce taunting rules in 2021,” Pelissero wrote in a tweet. “Two violations results in automatic ejection, with fines and even suspensions (!!) in play, too.

You can't clap, flex, or show any emotion after a big play now, which begs the question, why is the NFL doing this? In a somewhat still violent sport like football, you can sustain some serious/life-threatening injuries, yet the NFL is concerned about the players' emotions, lol this is ridiculous...as if the celebrations and harmless taunting is the problem with your game.

Honestly it's a little crazy.  I kind of lime the smack talking.  I mean some of it goes way overbored.  Don't like the team rehersed celebrations or anything bit if you are a wide receiver and get over on a corner or safety I like a little bit of the trash.  It gets teams heated and that's how rivalries are started.  They are going a little overboard on the celebration rules.

Is the NFL headed by white people of the far right? hehe I am not certain, however, for me it appears these rules on excessive celebrations is a move against blacks. They are those players who usually do the choreographed dances after a touchdown.

This reminds me of when they started flagging celebrations a few years ago.  That turned into a quite a fiasco, and if I remember correctly they reversed course on that rule the next year.  This probably wouldn't have even been an issue if it wasn't for that incident in the Super Bowl.  I expect some prominent players to get dinged by this rule for doing what they've been doing most of their lives; taunting each other on the field.  It's part of the game, part of almost any team sport for that matter.  Once the rule is applied in a controversial way, the resulting backlash will likely cause the league to reverse course next year.  It wouldn't be the first time.

I mean we have division champions, conference champions, trophies and even rings, regular season MVPs, pro bowl nominations, all-pro nominations, the 100 best players list and all kinds of useless awards when the only trophy fans care about is the Lombardy and the bragging rights they get because of it.

Unfortunately I can't make that night, labor day weekend is a tough weekend.  I have commitments I can't miss on that night.  If need be I can see if I can get someone to proxy draft for me by me giving him my draft "plan" and let him log into my account that night.  I don't want to dictate when we draft since there are 8 of us so just let me know what's decided and I can plan around that.

I have a draft in another league on September 2nd at 7PM EST, so that window between 7 to 9 is already booked, everything else is fine with me. (in case we opt for September 2nd draft)

I took the U38.5 on the WAS/NE game. Cam and Mac Jones are expected to play for the Patriots, it's unclear how many minutes they'll each get though. I like both teams' defenses and think the number is a little high here, hence the under, plus i'm not sure which QBs will finish the game.

Steelers' total points O16.5. Steelers scored 16 points in the HOF game against Dallas but missed a field goal, an extra point, and several other good chances to score. Two touchdowns and a field goal don't seem like much, Claypool, Johnson, and JuJu should all be available tonight, so i think i like my chances with their total.

I literally shut off every game except one I think last year and hope its not like that this year but with cam in I doubt it will be any different.

But that's the great thing about fantasy, I watch so many different teams now that I never did before.

I wouldn't have a clue who to bet on in a pre season match up, its like rolling the dice.

I'm open to any of these suggestions.  I forgot that the Sept. 4th was Labor Day Weekend, I have motorcycle ride planned with a buddy that weekend.  I would probably be able to make it to a hotel room by 4pm (Pacific time equivalent to 7pm Eastern) to participate, but it would be difficult.  Friday the 3rd would be better for me, and I'm also open to the weekend of the 28th.  No pressure to make any changes on my account, I'll accommodate whatever decision is agreed upon.

Lol.  That's probably a safe bet, until it isn't.  I'm very shy about betting on meaningless games, especially preseason NFL with so many unpredictable new players trying to noticed.  Good luck.

I would also be available to draft literally any day or any time.  I make fantasy football drafts an absolute top priority.  

Exciting that the NFL preseason has officially started.  Like you said DWolf, it is certainly meaningless but there are some good things about it.  For instance as a bears fan seeing Justin Fields play on Saturday, our hopeful QB of the future, will be a lot of fun.  Can't freaking wait for the season!
