Grabbed this the other day before placing an ill-fated preseason bet on the Eagles.



It's two days old but largely still relevant I presume. Lotta money coming in to the Bucs and the Rams, which are a bit too low odds for me now.

Had I known the Eagles were starting Flacco, well dammit I shoulda checked. Meanwhile Cam Newton was looking pretty on point for the downs he did play. Can't wait for the real thing.

Mac Jones looks good too.  I wouldn't be too surprised to see Mac get some run if cam sputters for a couple of weeks.  Chiefs is still a good bet at 5/1.  Can't see them not getting to at least the fact championship game.  So long as they are healthy they are going to wreck teams.

Trubisky lighting it up against his former team and Justin Fields nearly getting murdered in the fourth quarter, not a good day for Bears fan. Fields seems to be okay though, but that hit in the head was terrible. 👀

Trying to extend my winning streak with Ravens ml + Steelers ml, Harbaugh and Mike Tomlin are guys that care about wins regardless if its preseason or regular season. If BAL wins tonight, it will be their 19th straight, matching Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers team from the 1960s, who also had 19.

Try being a Bears fan.  That being said this was preseason and preseason doesn't mean much at all.  One of the biggest mistakes I used to make in Fantasy Football was taking preseason too seriously and judging some players by how well they played, or didn't play during preseason.  That has almost always come back to bite me in the butt.  During yesterdays game my Bears sure did look like shit, but they were also missing a bunch of starting players.  Let me make this very clear, Mitchell Trubisky is TERRIBLE.  The Bears however are going to miss cornerback Kyle Fuller big time, and releasing him was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen.  I HATE the Bears ownership, and this is just yet another reason why.  I dream that they will sell the team some day to someone whom actually has half a clue what they are doing.

Being a Giants fan I'm rooting for them to lose every game this year sorry chi!  Yeah that hit on fields was a tough one to watch.  Thought the kid was gonna die out there.  And agreed, mitch is terrible.  He is a good backup quarterback.  He will be a professional clipboard holder for 10 years probably.  Not a bad gig if you think about it lol.

I think the best outlet for Fantasy news is Fantasy Pros ( https://www.fantasypros.com/ ).  They've got a great website with tons of good information, they've got a pretty good podcast that I will listen to from time to time and they've also got a Discord group that I will hop in and out of from time to time.  For me personally they are the best resource overall.  Sites like Rotoworld used to be my favorite but they've since fallen off a bit.

I've always like their tools and especially the player comparison and Expert Consensus but I've found their recommendation youtube vids to be on the poor side and not very insightful at all and I'd actually go on to say if you did what they recommend you will have zero chance of winning a competitive league.

I used to love yahoo answers for Fantasy opinions as they were damn spot on and I used to spend alot of time on there giving free advice and lineup recommendations but of course it didn't generate cashflow for Verizon so it got the axe.

I threw a nice chunk on them winning the NFL Least division.  I will bet they hit 9 wins this year.  Their secondary is sick.  Line is a year older and they upped their revving corps.  Danny year 3 which is a make or break year.  I know I'm a Homer chi but 9 wins and the division it is.  And will STILL pick #1 in next year's draft

9 Wins    The only way that the Giants win 9 games this year is if hell freezes over, and despite climate change messing up our earth pretty badly, I just do not see it.  However you're right the NFC Least is not the best division.  That said, I think the Cowboys and the Washington Football team will both be sizably better than the Giants, well, at least the Cowboys.  I do like the WFT as a bit of a dark horse this year.

Yeah I am not sure I see the Patriots making the playoffs this year ( just as I didn't last year and even made a few bucks off of my buddy who thought Hoodie would lead them to the playoffs without Brady).  I personally just don't think Belichick is as good of a coach as Tom Brady has made him look for the past two decades. He struggles to draft good offense and does stupid stuff like giving the Falcons a second rounder for mohamed sanu the other year.  I'm not saying he's not great, because he is, I just don't think he's as great as people give him credit for.

The chances the Patriots makes the playoffs are low, the AFC East is the Bills division for the foreseeable future, the Jets will be better with Wilson, they will not make the playoffs this year but now they have the potential to be on the race if they can draft correctly during the next years, I know that is a big if since we are talking about the Jets but it is a possibility, and the Dolphins will depend on how year 2 Tua looks like, if anything I am glad they picked Tua and not Herbert as I would despise the idea of facing that dude twice for at least a decade.

Lol you are off your rocker Sir Wheelz.  There is not a chance in hell that the Giants will finish in first place in that division.  The Cowboys have Dak back, and Dak is far better than anything ya'll got over in New York.  The cowboys have some solid wide receivers, running backs etc.  Defense may be a bit suspect, but still.  I also thing the WFT will be very solid..as you said their D is legit but so should be their offense. Fitzmagic is solid, their running back Gibson is a stud, some good WRs etc.  I am willing to make a side bet with you if you'd like sir??

I think Darrell Henderson just got screwed with Sony Michel Trade.  I was planning on grabbing both, thought Michel wouldn't get traded until 6th week but this threw a wrench in a few of my value players I was gonna try to snipe.

Don't threaten me with a good time.  Throw me some odds and I'm down.  If you want to be the house I will give you a bit of an edge against the current odds.  Straight up it makes no sense on my part will just pile on at current odds with the book.  Now if you want to bet straight up on the January 2nd game, I'm down.  Let's bet on the toilet bowl!

And Dallas always has a great offense yet they don't do squat year in and year out.  Dak is over rated.  He had probably the best o line in the league one year.  Look at what zeke did second half of last year with a crap line.  Nadda.  We both know rbs and qbs can be drastically change with line play.

They aren't going to trade anything for a 1 year Jimmy rental though, San Fran will want to much.  And any multi-year deal kind of kills the whole point of drafting Mac 1st by burying him as the 3rd qb.  There's teams that will want Jimmy, Denver might be a good landing spot.  Or Carolina if Sam Darnold starts out terrible.

Since it's already draft snz, i have a quick hypothetical question. How would you treat unvaccinated players (that you know of) in this year's drafts? Are you willing to pass on a player just because he is not vaccinated and hence poses a higher risk of contracting rona and thus missing time/messing up with your team?

All things being equal I'd definitely grab the vaxxed player but I don't think not being vaxxed is enough of a detriment to move them down on my list. But if I already don't really like them then thats just added risk and I'd grab an alternative thats rated lower in lieu.

It looks like depth to me but now we might have a fight for starting position or a timeshare.
