It's just a number, and totally meaningless apart from for your own interest, and has no effect on your chance of finding a subsequent block whatsoever.

When I look at the daily BFL machine paired with Bfgminer, and look at the numbers of the Diff that jumps randomly, with the numbers that the MMR rented machine can't see, but see the addresses that other people hit, it's really exciting Excitement, other than that, the endless once-in-a-lifetime chance

i use the pool port solo.ckpool.org 4334 for nicehash and on the beginning on a rental it has always errors but in some minutes after the start the errors are gone in my cases...
it looks like as a normal ramp-up in the starting phase for a big nicehash rental...
