The return of ICOs is very possible. Many projects are promising and they want to further their advancement even through ICOs. But the companies will have a hard time on ICOs unlike 2017 and 2018 because the people won't easily trust ICO.

People have learned the real market situation. It isn't about the ICO or IEO, people are aware to analyse the project as well as its working product. So, only the success projects receive investment from users. Earlier there are lot many token projects which doesn't have any backing product. Just tokenised and earned big out of it. Later IEO marked its entry, and that too is a kind of marketing. Now it is time for defi, even now ICO's are running and getting success on legit projects.

Of course, return ICO is possible. But after the disappointment it has brought to many investors, I don't think it will be easy to gain trust. People are learning from their mistakes and are now choosing a safer method of investing in a project.

Yes, IEO is still there so any new project even how legit they are, why would they consider doing ICO if they know how lack of trust for ICO from the community? I don't think ICO can make a return to the scene that easy as long there is IEO.

Most of the investors not investing in ICO's and trust on IEO's in well-ranked exchanges but maybe in 2020 investors can be invested in DeFi projects because the trend is going to DeFi projects and can make good profit from DeFi project's ICO. Still, there is less chance to invest in ICO's.

The opportunity to put in an ICO can no longer be relied on because it is clear that the current trend is no longer in demand. What you need to know is that the defi is peaking now, look for a legitimate project about the defi in selling their IEO on the exchange better.

Absolutely true, mate at the present moment ico are fading as per the many scams get busted and that's the reason people moving towards the ieo. That's why ico having a very hard time at the moment.

Everything is possible in the crypto market but we have to move from fiction to reality because at this time almost all the projects are following IEO so the price of ICO has come down. After being deceived in many scam projects, now the number of ICO investors has decreased. So if a project want manage then there can do it, but if they want to get more investors then they will need a certain document. So that all the investors can be sure that the project will not scam in the future and make sure that they get a good exchange.

I do not think ICO is coming back or will ever come back ,investors seem to be more comfortable with IEO and so many projects are raising their start up funds via IEO . The memory of failed ICOs is not yet out of people's mind so it might be difficult to get people to invest in your project through ICO.

In my opinion, I would say it's nearly impossible. Cause at this moment in the market the ieos are running really good. They are doing very great. Many of them are looks legit and profitable too. The problems why people didn't like icos anymore  were the scams and trust factors. Now a days bug exchanges offer that trus with the ieo that's why people are very interested in it. And now a days auctions are also going popular. So I think people are happy with this factors why they choose a investment plan where they don't promise any kind of trust.

ICO are no more the industry standard which they used to be a few years back. Now people are more cautious when investing their money and are more comfortable to give their money to the exchanges rather than giving a new website promising to give a token of unpredictable value. And also there wasn't any certainty that the project would get listed on an exchange with the ICO tokens but this isn't the case with IEO offerings which easily get listed on exchanges. So I don't think the trend of ICO is coming, now DeFi projects are going to rule the world and with it rhe price of ethereum will also rise proportionally just like 2017 ICO frenzy on the ethereum block-chain.

That's the thing, why investors will put their money back to ICO.

They already have a good glimpse how bad and risky this investment can be, they will stick with
much better types of investment like IEO, trying to find luck investing with reputable exchange
who caters the sale process.

No, ICOs shouldn't make a come back no matter how legit someone behind it. ICOs in crypto being its sorry state right now is the result of how a lot of bad and scam projects abused it. Only thanks to IEOs that we can have a decent market with not so many scams in a new project. If anyone wants to raise money, hold IEOs instead.

Guys, do you think that ICOs could make a come back? I do and here is why. Every year dozens of companies raise money in Silicon Valley for startups, many pre revenue. Also, with the economy injured from nCov19, it would make sense to allow for new economies. This would include letting new startups in Blockchain raise money, and imo if they are well vetted, and trusted by the community, they should be allowed to raise money. What do you think?

No, of course not. ICOs are not safe. IEOs conducted in reliable and secure exchanges are a lot better compared to ICOs. Though let's not forget that a lot of projects that are leading the crypto scene today came from ICOs. It's just that a lot of scammers saw an opportunity in ICOs to easily steal people's money while protecting their identities. This is not likely to happen with IEOs.

Some new projects run their token sale in form of ICO and a few are successful, so ICOs are returning for real. Well, personally I doubt if I'll ever invest in ICOs anymore, but if you check some popular crypto Telegram groups which promote these ICOs, you will find new ones at least weekly. I know of PEEREX and a few others which concluded ICO and are trading.

its a very hard deal for new startup to gain investors trust by raising funds through ICO. there is already a stigma with ICO and for now nothing will erase the stigma because there is high probability of them exiting scam or abandoning the project. many projects will fail at ICO funds raising stage using the method.

ICO time has come and gone and over 80% of them were confirmed scams. It will be difficult for such to take any comeback due to excess of abuses. IEO is what is reigning now and it is quite save and secure.
