Sorry, but does this remind anyone else of goatse? Was my first impression too… I like the idea though, but maybe we need some 3d bitcoin pie to get rid of the goatse association.

I got a reply back from the "International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL)" . as mentioned in the bitcoin minefield thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28009.msg720076#msg720076Dear Chris, We thank you very much for being willing to make a donation to ICBL-CMC. Could you please, kindly let me know what you mean by "bitcoin" as we do not have this system in place yet but are ready to consider it. Looking forward to hearing from you. Love the new website, great work! It looks like spot #98 is still open... Can I make another pledge? This time on behalf of fpgamining.com. 10+ still applies. Thanks! Actually, I just counted--- there are 104 donators (and 86 is taken twice -_-;; ) Heh, you're right. But, looking closer, 97 isn't actually taken yet either. I was just trying to fill in the actual 100 (not these fancy people with >100 spots...).

I was just trying to fill in the actual 100 (not these fancy people with >100 spots...). Thank you, fizzisist, for adding fpgmining.com as the latest support of Bitcoin 100. The list has been updated as well as on this page: http://bitcoin100.org/about/partisans/You're at the 98th spot on the list in the OP of this thread, whereas the list on the official website is not number, but placed accordingly with the proper link. Anybody else on either list that would like to have their name linked to a website, simply let me know. I've also corrected that 86 spot error, of which I'm pretty sure the mods are messin' with me, for I never make mistakes. I don't have time to monitor this thread in detail, but getting more charities on board with bitcoin is very important. I just sent in another 90 BTC. (So far 100 BTC contributed)
Please keep up the great work!
I've also update the OP to reflex Roger's kind donation. Thank you again, Roger Ver (with MemoryDealers). As I've mentioned before, Rassah will have this updated on his spreadsheet as well. ~Bruno~

With our best regards, ICBL-CMC team Tell Tony of BitPay to talk to them about setting it up. Thank you Matthew for taking care of this issue and providing proper guidance. Having Tony speak with a representative at ICBL-CMC, firsthand, would assure that nothing gets lost in translation. Sorry, but does this remind anyone else of goatse? Was my first impression too… I like the idea though, but maybe we need some 3d bitcoin pie to get rid of the goatse association. Sorry for taking so long in replying to this post, but since I didn't know what goatse was, I had to Google it, then look at all the pictures. I don't think I missed any. I guess I have to agree about the sentiment expressed. We should of know that there was a problem with this design since it was Matthew that first suggested it. That said, we're now on a new quest to have the official Bitcoin 100 logo design. The pay is zero, nothing, nil, etc. Who's on it? ~Bruno~

Note : I haven't looked at this project for a while so sorry If I'm off track and repeat what is already said. Seems to me ; The original idea of having 100+ people donating (x) BTC per charitable organization would not work and only a handful of supporter would accept donating to every causes. So I once suggested that since I did not agree with the choice of organizations, I would be more interested in subscribing to a mailing list where I would get update on what charitable org I could not be donating to. Better now is I would see this list as some bad ass table for pledges, with organizations on one side and users on the other. One would say I pledge, 1btc to org X, 1btc to org Y, 2 btc to org Z ... IF they publicly state that they accept BITCOIN donations via their website. Phinnaeus Gage acting as the escrow judging if the organization did a sufficient public commitment to accept btc donations. Right now, I would pledge 7btc to the fuckers at the noagendashow that beg beg beg for money and still don't accept Bitcoin, other than "Adam Curry" who posted a btc address ages ago and later laughed at btc. These guys make the Best Podcast, it talks about government corruption and expose manipulations by the big MEDIA GOV CORP triangle. I wait for this podcast eagerly twice a week, not because it's needed information but because it's A: Entertaining and B: The chocking fucking truth, C : It's time to go out and punch the right people in the mouth !!! http://www.noagendashow.com/

Seems to me ; The original idea of having 100+ people donating (x) BTC per charitable organization would not work and only a handful of supporter would accept donating to every causes. It seems you're wrong. There's a list of 100+ people doing exactly that. Eventually, there'll be a lot more supporters (100's), thereby at least 100 will be donating 1+ BTC on at least a semi-regular basis. I look forward to Transisto's post, for he keeps me on my toes. So I once suggested that since I did not agree with the choice of organizations, I would be more interested in subscribing to a mailing list where I would get update on what charitable org I could not be donating to. I'm working on the autoresponder now on the the website. This way I'll be able to broadcast en mass relative information pertaining to Bitcoin 100. I will notify everybody via a post on this thread when it becomes fully functional. Better now is I would see this list as some bad ass table for pledges, with organizations on one side and users on the other. I can somewhat easily incorporate this aspect on the website. It would prove a nice visual tool directed toward prospective charitable organizations still sitting on the fence. Taxing my memory, I may have thought about something along this lines, but it got buried witnin my head. Thank you, Transisto for bringing this back to the forefront my mind. ~Bruno~

*POKES Phinnaeus, since that's the only way to get him to keep moving on this, it seems* I resemble that remark. Any updates on how contacting the organizations is going? Do we need new organizations to contact? I can help with that if help is needed.
Since Derek hasn't posted anything to the contrary, we can safely assume no updates. Any help you desire to offer up, Technomage, would be duly accepted. I'm still trying to get the email aspect to work on the web site. I almost have it. Then, I need to populate it with relative content. The site's objective is to be directed toward prospective charitable organizations. The minor aspect is to have a place where supporters can register, thereby able to receive periodic updates of what's the latest pertaining to Bitcoin 100. I was thinking that in our initial contact with the non-profits, offer them a complimentary issue of Bitcoin Magazine. All they'll have to do is state that they accept our kind offer. I'm sure Big-Ears (Matthew) would have no problem with provided up to a dozen free issues monthly, if that so be the case.
