any news whit the android minner?

Yes. Last I've heard, it is complete and now being tested/bugfixed.

This is not done by Groestlcoin team, but by a developer who already has miner apps on Google Play.
I'm really hoping to get the official announcement shortly.

Everyone please VOTE HERE!!!

http://groestlcoin.org/forum/index.php?topic=90.0

You will decide how the innovative

Yes, please do vote.

So far I can see that most people are in favor of POS/POW.
I'll be honest with you, I also voted for POS/POW switch.

I believe that the reason why the price is falling, is because too many GRS are being produced every day. We now have 40 million GRS out there from the total volume of 105 million. And that's just in 2 and a half months!

Block reward: https://i.imgur.com/1GHyfa0.png
Total coin amount: https://i.imgur.com/FQCZ8IX.png

There will be official announcement soon, hold tight.

PS: We are not changing the total amount of coins, that's for sure. It would not be fair.

it seems a good coin.i just want to buy some on the M

Start 22 March 09:00 PM GMT

GroestlCoin (GRS) is a new cryptocurrency utilizing the Groestl algorithm for Proof-Of-Work. To cut it short essentially GroestlCoin is about one thing - making efficient mining possible for EVERYBODY who wants to mine – whether on an old CPU or a new GPU. Here is why:

The Groestl algorithm is possibly the single most GPU-efficient algorithm implemented in any cryptocoin on the market. A comparison between many different algorithms shows that it has the lowest power consumption, heat, and noise of the array of newer ones being implemented in cryptocoins.

GroestlCoin is also notably accommodating for CPU mining as well, with only a 5x-10x hash difference between CPU/GPU - a much smaller spread than that of Scrypt coins. In essence this means that everybody, especially including those who can’t afford or want to invest in expensive mining equipment, can mine GroestlCoin and get reasonable rewards. This fact is being proven over and over again by the miners in our growing global community. To quote one of our miners, "Modern AMD GPU is only 5 times faster than my old trusty Q9550! Conclusion: Everyman and his doge can mine Groestl!" Click here to have a look at what more our miners have to say.

No ASIC currently exists for Groestl & it is unlikely that one will be developed for it anytime soon. GroestlCoin will be ASIC-free for the foreseeable future.

Through these features GroestlCoin embodies the fairly distributed & decentralized nature of Cryptocurrency. Anyone can mine effectively, with minimal resource consumption and nuisance.

With the influx of scrypt ASICs we thought decentralized mining will soon be dead, with GroestlCoin it is reborn and taken to another level.

Note: Please always check the official website groestlcoin.org for the latest up to date information.

  -  Old GPU friendly (5870 is almost as fast as R9 280X)

What's written about GRS?

I did read through the article and could not find any Groestlcoin info. It is an interesting article and almost all top coins are frowned upon there.

I guess guidosuller is referring to the quick generation of coins in the first months and rapid decrease of block reward.

I think we have an opposite problem. Because so many GRS were generated in such a short time (40% of total GRS volume in 2 months), the market became overflooded with GRS and it made the price so low.
Hyperinflation.

Right now you can buy GRS very cheap, but the exchange volume is quite low. Why? I believe that it is because most people who wanted to buy GRS already did that.

For example, if you mined darkcoin in the first days and kept it, you could get quite rich now. But mining DRK is not such profitable these days.
In our case - people who mined and kept GRS actually are at a disadvantage, because the difficulty used to be higher weeks ago.

We are going to do something with this super high inflation level. Stay tuned for official update shortly.
