Lille is now 4 points ahead of PSG. Winning the title for Lille is much easier now. Their opponents in the next two matches are ST-Etienne and Angers respectively. These two teams are not very strong opponents. If Lille plays these two matches with a caution, they will be able to win both matches. And will be able to win the title this season.

If no miracle happens, Lille will win the title this season, they are in great form and the opponents for the next match are weak. I’m annoyed to see the PSG team as champions. In the last 8 seasons, PSG has been the champion in 7 season. On the other hand, The Lille team became the last champion 9 years ago. I would be happy if  Lille will win the title.

Lille always victory and success get three points so far, just wait with bad result got by PSG and give guarantee for Lille to get trophy for first time and broken dominance for PSG more than several years. I think change of coach give impact with bad performance of PSG and make them for the first time in one season without get any trophy, champion league failed and now left chance but very little with french soccer league trophy.

Lille performed really awesome against Lens in this match. Burak Yilmaz was great again and he scored two goals in this one. PSG are fully focused on the league after being eliminated from the Champions League. And they have no choice but win against Rennes to follow Lille right behind them. But I don't think it will be an easy match either. I think PSG will win this by 1 goal.

PSG definitely need to win all 3 matches including today and just hope that Lille drop some points in the 2 remaining games.  Both teams are just left to play bottom half of the table teams. Lille are left to face St.Etienne(11th) and Amgers(12th) while PSG(if they win today they will be just 1 point behind)  are left to play against Reims(13th) and Brest(14th). If anyone of the teams drop points in the last 2 games. It almost guarantees the title for the other.

First things first, PSG has failed to pick up 3 points away at 7th place Rennes; while Lille has refused to drop points even against Lyon. The result means that with 2 games to go in the french league, Lille are 3 points clear of reigning champions PSG. In their final league clashes, Lille play 11th placed St Etienne and 12th placed Angers team while PSG play 13th placed Breims and 14th placed Brest, both easy fixtures, does this mean Lille will win the FRENCH LIQUE for this season ?

A win and a draw should do the trick for Lille. It is amazing that Lille sold Pepe to Arsenal just couple of seasons ago. Who was one of their best players at a short period of time and they have created a monster team from it. With the 80 million Euros that they got form Pepe transfer, they have solidified their squad to win the title a season later. Thats what good club scouting can do. Both teams play at the same time next week so there's no luxury to wait and react. In any case, the league win is in their hands. Win both games or win 1 and draw 1 and the silverware is theirs.

@snipe I don’t understand how PSG could draw that match so many world class player’s on the pitch playing for them, and yet they only manage to escape with a draw. Furthermore will they again splash cash in the transfer market to win the league title, because with the current team they’re unable to win anything.

I agree with you, your analysis is pretty relevant in my opinion BuNga_cute, PSG will face Reims next week for the matchday number 37 and Brest for the last matchday of the Ligue 1 championship while Lille is to face Saint-Etienne and Angers for the 2 last matchdays of the season. PSG could easily get a draw against Reims on Sunday and even loses, so even if Lille loses against Saint-Etienne which is not expected, they will likely stay at their first place.

PSG, what a delusion! I must think you don't want to win Ligue 1 this year if this is the best you can do against a team like Rennes (no offence,dear Rennes supporters).
Lille now has a 3 points advantage that could mean winning the league! Only two games left, will they make it?
