Looks like Lille is Ligue 1 Champions 20/21 and they deserve it so massive congrats for them! You don't need football stars in your team to win it , you just need hard work and dedication towards what you're doing.

Congratulations to Lille, well deserved. They were great throughout the season and proved they deserved the title when put under pressure.

They have a really young and interesting team, I hope they stay together for a few more years. Jonathan David is a player I really like and I'm glad Sanches is playing good again - he looked like an amazing talent when I first saw him a few years ago (in the 2016 EURO cup).

The most incredible thing is to see Nantes losing while all teams directly above it dropped points. If they get those 3 points they would end 14th! Good luck for them playing relegation play-offs game!

Congratulations to Lille over their victory as the winner of the French Ligue 1, which they deserve. They worked hard this season, and probably got the Ligue 1 trophy. PSG couldn't top Lille, they are 1 point behind Lille, but however will be playing in the Champion League next season.
While Monaco are in the  Champion League qualifiers zone, I hope they gets into the Champion League group stage. It was an amazing season in the Ligue 1.

Both lille and psg won but this wasnt enough for psg while lyon threw it all away after leading 2 times. Monaco couldnt score but still are going to the champions league qualifications.

Lille were able to double their just before halftime from the penalty spot, and that should do it, imo.

They duly deserve to win the league and that'd be their reward for being consistent all through the season.

I don't think they duly deserve to win the Ligue 1 this season, they only finish 1 single point above Paris Saint-Germain, and they've only been able to win with one goal ahead of Angers(1-2) while PSG has beaten Brest by 2 goals with a clean sheet after playing matches of French Cup and winning it and matches of the Champions League

Like Atletico who won La Liga, Lille are also very worthy of being champions of Ligue 1. This makes Ligue 1 more interesting, because previously
it was only dominated by PSG. PSG's failure this season to become Ligue 1 champions, must be a lesson for PSG management. Because a club with
very good finances like PSG, don't hesitate to bring in more star players. Because in my opinion the players who are at PSG now are only about 4-5
players who have very good quality. The rest is not eligible to play at PSG, another thing PSG I see is changing coaches too often, this makes it difficult

this French championship was a lot more interesting than previous ones, but it was mostly due to PSG playing poor, than other playing better than before, Paris had 91 points in 2019, and 68 points with 11 matches to play last season, they did not start well this season, and had many upsets, which gave chance to competition, and Lille used it to the best, congrats

PSG has massive stars and unlimited money, it should never has been that close, they should be steamrolling the competition. You can argue Lille didn't win it as much as PSG lost it, but the end result is the same.

Why not ? That'd be very unfair to say they don't deserve the league, but it's your opinion and you're entitled to it.

Statistically  they had the best defence in the league, conceded just 23 goals over the course of the 38 games, they lost just 3 matches as well, that's at least 3 losses lesser than their closest rival, I don't know what else could be considered consistency for a team that doesn't have billions to invest in players or what else could have been done for the league to be more deserving, either ways that doesn't matter now, does it ?

It's pathetic really to accept that PSG with the most costly players lost the title to Lille. Happy for Lille, they showing us that nothing is impossible. PSG have only money but unfortunately money is not everything, and Lille demonstrate this once more. PSG should relax just like Juvetus & Madrid lost their home title.

Something was even more of a shock to me yesterday, I thought the last time Lille won a league was like 70 years ago, but apparently there was one just in 2010 and before that it was 70 years that true. Lille wasn't really on the map when the league started, everyone was expecting PSG to dominate big time, they were the finalist of champions league last year and didn't have too much change in the team and now obviously it would have been a wise decision to bet on them winning the league this year as well.

Looking at the result it was a tough situation, let's be honest the championship was decided on the very last game so we can't say it was an easy championship for lille neither, the game was also very close as well just a 2-1 win from Lille and it was 2-0 all game, if Angers scored their goal earlier there could have been trouble.

So, it is a very hard fought, very difficult, very tough championship that Lille won and they deserve all the happiness they have. As a non-french person from another nation I am happy to see such an unexpected result, it made the league more fun to watch for me.

PSG has only spent money. But the team couldn’t sort it out properly. They set up one of the strongest forward lineups in the world. But still they are not performing as expected. I think there is a lack of coordination among the players on the team. At the same time, they have focused more on the Champions League this season, so they have lost the League 1 title.

I think PSG's failure now is due to egos to score goals that some of their star players have shown by neymar in several matches and I think Mauricio Pochettino has done a great job in his first season at PSG with 23 wins in 34 games, but we know in terms of match schedules, of course Lille is more profitable than PSG, which does have a fairly busy schedule this season both in the domestic league and in the champions league and I think next season Mauricio Pochettino  will bring PSG back as the ruler of Ligue 1.

I agree with you, LOSC Lille has not the same budget as PSG, as far as I know they only have 147 million Euros of yearly budget which is 4 times less than the one of Paris(640 million Euros). So yes it's a big difference between the two teams but PSG had to play matches of the Champions League and of the French Cup during the Ligue 1 championship while LOSC has been eliminated at the Round of 16 of the French Cup beaten 3-0 by PSG.

Lille have been crowned Ligue 1 champions after winning against Angers and this is their first title in 10 years breaking the PSG supremacy where the time from Paris won 2-0 at Brest but needed a slip-up from leaders Lille and that was not forthcoming.
