Looks like the top teams are having a really bad day in Ligue 1 tonight as we started with a horrendous lost game of 1-3 from PSG against Lorient and PSG was playing in their home,I don't dare to think how many tickets this game has burned down,probably a whole lot of them and that is why I never bet on such low odds games most of the time.

Now we have Marseille that dominated the first half but Auxerre with just one shot on goal are now leading at the end of the first half.I think here though that Marseille will come back and turn things around as 2 really bad results rarely happen to the two top teams in the same day but let's wait and see how things fold out.

There was many surprises in today's game in Ligue 1. PSG lost by 3 goals to 1 vs Lorient. The only goal that was scored by Mbappe was for sure one of the easiest goal in the history of football. Lorient's goalkeeper throw the ball in the field in front of him like he was trying to shoot a fool and Mbappe just took it and scored. That was a noobie mistake by the goalkeeper.
Monaco was the other team that lost badly by 4 goals vs Montpellier. Worst part is that they weren't able to score a goal. Lille and Rennes are approaching from them.

Losing 1 player has a big impact on the results of Paris Saint Germain's match, the problem is that the opponent they are facing is not an easy team, especially if they have an advantage in the number of players. I personally don't care about the PSG team at the moment. Compared to other minor teams, PSG is not performing much better. PSG's team is currently in a poor state despite such good star performances, even though they are at the top of Ligue 1. I think if PSG plays against Manchester City or Real Madrid now, PSG will lose by a huge margin.

The results they got were very, very disappointing, it happened not just once or twice, but they often experienced this. I agree with you, that they are like an ordinary team without stars. they lead the top of the table now, not because they are performing well but their opponents are not on the same level as them. I think if they were in the Premier League they would be in the same fate as Chelsea.

Lorient's win over PSG at the Parc des Princes! Fans left frustrated with the team's poor performance, questionable management decisions, and disappointing overall. Sadly, their defensive statistics right now the worst. The red card given to Ashraf Hakimi, which left them with just 10 men on the field but losing 3-1 to Lorient not an acceptable outcome.

One major issue facing PSG is a lack of team play and direction from their coach. Also without a strong competition within their league, the team has struggled to compete on the international stage. Paris Saint Germain's overall performance this season has left so many football faithfuls and most especially their club fans wondering in disbelief. How the most sophisticated team in France has been underperforming in both the domestic games and in Europe remains a big surprise to many.
The club's management needs to do something about it and that they must do very quickly. Christophe Galtier has been horrible this season and needs to be released from his duties at the club because with the kind of quality players in the PSG set up, they're supposed to be serious contenders for the UEFA Champions League title while they're also bossing French football but that's way too beyond their reach at the moment.

Losing one player made the strategy they had planned not work perfectly, as a result they had to swallow the morning pill by being defeated by Lorient at home. After winning the number of players, of course that made Lorient more confident, and after they had the advantage in the number of players, they were able to score 2 additional goals to ensure victory was in their hands. Paris Saint Germain again doesn't show anything good, they always show something that is not expected.

That's really embarrassing for PSG because they were playing against a weak team like Lorient in 10th place in the table and PSG had a poor performance in this game however they were playing more than 70 minutes with ten players but still their performance was disappointing and even the single goal they scored was not fair and Mbappe scored that goal when Lorient players made a mistake and he used this chance.

I disagree that PSG have elite stars. Their attack is elite, but that's just about it. There's nothing elite about their midfield. The only elite player they have in midfield is Verratti and he gets injured a lot.
The rest of the midfield is a bunch of average and slightly above average players.
Their defense should be doing well, but I have this theory in football that if the midfield is poor, the defense will most definitely suffer.
Added to the fact that PSG don't have an elite coach. Or he's an elite coach but his tactics is not just working at PSG. PSG should get a better coach try to reinforce their squad if they want to compete next season.

I think it's also right to change coaches because it's useless if there are a lot of star players if the coach isn't able to manage with a good strategy, see also their midfield isn't that good so it needs a lot of overhauling of players and coaches, even though PSG's defeat is understandable because playing with 10 men but it looks like they really need to buy new players for their midfield.

In the next season, maybe PSG will add new players and the hope is that they have a strong team on every front so they can become a respected club in the UCL next season, so far they have never made it to the UCL semifinals, always failing in the last 16 of UCL, PSG right now it's not exactly a scary club

PSG lost because lorient played better than them, it was really unlucky that I chose PSG in the bet. if someone says PSG's defeat was because they only played with 10 players (judge got a red card in minutes 20) then I don't agree, Messi and Mbappe should be able to play compactly, the 4-4-2 formation used by Galtier is not suitable for PSG.

Indeed, it is quite understandable that PSG lost this match and this result was also inseparable from the responsibility of coach Galtier who failed to give his team a win. The only PSG goal came through Kylian Mbappe and even though it was a legitimate goal, considering the quality of PSG at the top level I think the goal was very inappropriate. Meanwhile, Lorient appeared very attractive and were able to add 2 more goals in the second half as well as closing the victory in their away game with a score of 1-3. Now that PSG and Marseille are only 5 points apart, this could be a serious problem for PSG if it continues to get bad results in the remaining matches.

For the champions league, maybe PSG can be on par with other top teams because they have the same quality of players but as long as their mentality is still weak in the European competition, I think they will be the same as the previous season. Maybe adding a midfield player could be a good option for PSG, but I don't see any significant changes if they don't sack Galtier soon next season.

Now the story is in Ligue1 rather than in any other competition, and losing so much at home to an almost equal level of possession is something that should be quite an embarrassment for PSG against Lorient. That's because Lorient is not a better ranked team in Ligue1 so the PSG team should be ashamed of this even though PSG is still at the top of the standings after losing to Lorient in yesterday's match at home.

Yes that was the least that could happen to Lorient. If PSG can't even win a game at home where they receive such a present, you know exactly how bad and demotivated they are right now. They are only looking forward to the end of the season and then to all activities regarding transfers. I don't like that attitude and it hurts to see how a machine like Mbappe is wasting his amazing talent at a club like PSG. I would really like to see him play for another club and at best in the Premier League where he can perform at his best almost every weekend.

From season to season I always want to see what Paris Saint Germain will do, but the results have never seen anything extraordinary they do. They often make big transfers for a lot of money, but what they do seems pointless, it's just that it boosts their popularity as one of the richest clubs in Europe. But in terms of play, I think they are still a mediocre club, even I think if they were in a more competitive league they couldn't compete. I don't mean to belittle them, but what I saw today is indeed the case.

We have to realize that it becomes a bit boring at that level. PSG is by far better than any team in the league there is no doubt about them, in fact if you check transfermarket it shows that PSG worths about 900 million whereas the closest ever team is Monaco with 325 million. That means there is nearly a triple amount difference, that is not a small one, there is a huge huge gap there.

This causes PSG not really care about the league and still win it, they could focus and play hard on the league but then they would have like 30+ wins each season and still be the champions, there is no difference in the end result. They want UCL but fail to do that as well, so it becomes quite terrible to continue when you have nothing to fight for.
