Yes but this time I wish it would be the other way around and PSG has to hunt down Monaco until the end of the season. If PSG is leading the table and winning their games, it is still quite boring if there is never a change of positions at the top of the table. But I don't think that the chances are very good for Monaco to win the majority of their games while PSG also making mistakes from time to time. It's best for them to start looking for a perfect replacement for Mbappé cause I doubt if he'll remain at the club next season, they night have succeeded in making him sign another contract to keep him in the club till next summer,however they might lose him for free when his contract expires cause Mbappé mind has already been made up to leave the club and theirs a possibility of him moving to Realmadrid or another top club as a free agent next summer.

The Champions League is a different and even more difficult competition than the local competition and I really appreciate Lens' performance in Europe's highest competition. Maybe Lens really have to spend on players this winter to cover the sides they still feel are lacking so that their chances of finishing in Ligue 1 will be better later.

We still don't know that but at least I'm sure Monaco will continue to play well until the end of the season and the transfer window will open and at that time there will also be changes in strength in the teams that are updating their squad. PSG is surely still favorite, but few clubs are giving their best and trying to have something positive which is good sign, but their available sources are not like PSG which will give them better advantage near the end of this season for having better result.

But recently it seems like the good performance phase is over for them.

Apparently you misinterpreted PSG at the moment, this club can bring in any player they want. I mean, incoming newcomers who fit the club's wishes and the player's agreement. Well, after Messi left and was followed by Neymar, then Ramos "because he was a free agent". It seems that the mega project they were running has ended and only Mbappe is left.
Now, PSG has changed its philosophy to try to rebuild its players starting from scratch. like Manchester City before it became big.

A manager is hit directly when the team performs poorly. Every club management has a simple option if the manager is not performing well for the club then sacking him and appointing a new manager. Firing a manager and appointing a new manager does not improve the performance of the club. It is an important step for the club to hire a good manager instead of changing managers every season. PSG have done it of late, they have appointed a quality manager and this manager's job is now to improve the club's performance. If Luis Enrique can't improve the club's performance this season, he will try next season because after working with PSG team for a season, he will know which positions to keep and which positions to hire new players. Luis Enrique can certainly change the performance of this team if he is given financial freedom.

This is not about focus. They focus on their Ligue 1 games as much as they focus on their Coup de France games as much as they focus on their Champions League games and yet results can differ. Results depend on many variables and there is such a thing called form or shape. There is another thing called luck. On some days it can happen that these variables are to your advantage on others they are not. Mentality and the ability to hold a certain stability within also comes into play. You describe it as if they agree before a game starts that they focus less on that day because it is Ligue 1, and then when they play the Champions League they put their heads together and say 'hey today is Champions League, we need to focus more". Nobody in his right mind thinks that this is how professional football works.

I mean we can't see the same effort in the Ligue 1 despite generally playing against teams that are closer to their level here. I don't want to state it like they are thinking as "Let's give up on the Ligue 1 and shift our focus totally onto the Champions League.". Why would I think like that? 

I want to state it like there is something wrong behind the scenes and they just can't figure it out. I have seen many teams so far which got worse results in their domestic leagues than the Champions League. But they weren't generally this bad in their domestic leagues.

Lens just can't make even a slight progress now. I hope the manager finds a strategy to improve their form in the Ligue 1 too.

It is not unusual for PSG to be under pressure, they have lost the highest amount of players this season, if so many players leave the club at the same time then it is natural for the club to perform poorly. If they think that by appointing a quality manager to a club, that manager will improve their performance, they are wrong. A good manager's plan doesn't work if the club doesn't have good players.
Luis Enrique was successful at Barcelona but he has not been successful so far at PSG. PSG president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi have succeeded in ruining the present stats of Les Parisiens. They're having difficulties to win league games, then when it comes to UCL football they also found it challenging. The new coach, Luis Enrique will try his best to adapt but we just hope he's able to deliver his club on time. Paris Saint-Germain are not good in shape this season. It's clearly stated out regarding their performance in league games, illustrating the worst form of PSG, got humiliated by an average competitive club like Newcastle in UCL.

You are exaggerating a lot about what PSG is going through this season. PSG is still a solid team that won't fail too quickly in Ligue 1 and also the Champions League. PSG are just 2 points adrift of the Ligue 1 leaders, while they only suffered a shock defeat against Newcastle. Such defeats cannot always be avoided, but perhaps the only truth is that sometimes a team like Newcastle can spring a surprise.

PSG will face Milan today at the Parc des Princes Stadium, taking place in 10 minutes. PSG has a good chance to win their home game and I hope the 3 best French strikers today can be responsible for the best results for their team. If you check last season table you'll see that PSG almost lost the league to Lens, they only gapped Lens with just a point to unlike the other season when they used to win the league and top other clubs with many points,however If PSG doesn't start being consistent with their wining then we could see same thing repeating itself but this time they might not be lucky to win with a point but could lose the league like they did in the 2020-21 season when they lost the league to Lille who gapped them with just a point.

 Last season's competition was against Lens but this season, their are two teams that could make winning the league tough for PSG, which are Monaco and Nice, there performance this season is very brilliant and they're in the 1st and 2nd position respectively.

Last season was quite worrying for PSG because Lens was able to match PSG during that season and even though in the end PSG still won the Ligue 1 title, sometimes with a small point difference it could be a disaster for them. Monaco and Nice are old faces in Ligue 1 but no one expected their consistency this season and I was quite surprised because both of them have been able to appear consistently so far.

On the other hand, PSG lost momentum at the start of the season and they had to struggle again to get back to where they should be. Maybe we will see new competition in the future and it would certainly be very exciting if PSG had another competitor. The reason is that it would be very boring if Ligue 1 was always dominated by PSG for the whole season.
