Come on, the analogy is like you said and it seems you misunderstood. that doesn't mean Lens has to leave the Champions League, Dude. In fact, they still have several matches in this group phase, namely against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadiums and hosting Sevilla. but you also need to remember, this team is mediocre, not a super strong team. Lille were the better playing side in that game but Lyon still won by 1-0 home. But now the situation is really worrisome for Lyon. That win over Rennes wasn't even easy one.

Because despite Rennes' getting a very early red card Lyon still had big difficulties. They even let the game become more balanced in the second half. I can't trust this Lyon for betting as a result. But I wouldn't bet on Lille either as a similar scenario might happen and it would find me.

Falcao was on form until he moved to Man United and Chelsea they ended his career but all is well now with Rayo Vallencano even if he is not as agile like he was during Monaco days.

Nice drew goalless with Montpellier. This is why the team has to lose the top spot. I know the Montpellier team is not strong. However, I am not at all surprised to see such a result in this match. Because I don't think the Nice team is very strong. I was actually a bit annoyed to see this team at the top of the table.

Nice team scored only 13 goals in 12 matches. The team held the top spot in the table only because of their strong defence. Their offensive performance is quite poor. Monaco, who are third in the points table, have scored 25 goals in 12 matches. I think only Monaco can stay in the title fight with PSG this season.

Olympique Lyon is an important team and this table is their big problem. Lyon beat Rennes 1-0 and got the first victory. By beating Lyon and Rennes, the last team in the league, they showed that even though they are last, they have a quality squad. Put differently, you are saying that any team beating Rennis is automatically a high quality team. I am not sure you really meant to say that as it means literally nothing to beat Rennes when it comes to assessing the quality of a squad. If they beat PSG or Nice, I would agree that this would allow for some conclusions to be made, but beating a team that is positioned in the lower half of the table is really nothing that is helpful to see whether it is a quality team or not.

And yeah, as I said, that doesn't mean they don't have to do their best in the Champions League competition. After all, as I said, like it or not, Lens has to play all his matches in various competitions. Let's flashback to when Lens started playing in two competitions, namely the Coupe de France. Lyon this season has really slumped based on its performance. They only achieved 1 win in 11 matches, and that was because they had a 1 player advantage since the first half. Lyon's defense was very poor, while the performance of the attackers was also not very good. Lyon have only been able to score 9 goals in 11 matches, while they have conceded 19 goals so far.

I think Lyon could be relegated this season if they don't recover from this slump quickly, but it won't be as easy as turning the palm of the hand. Lyon will have to invest more in their players in the next transfer window to improve their squad depth, but fixing the current player performance and confidence issues is the main focus of the coach. I'm not sure what the biggest problem is this season, but they've been really bad.

Because this is not just about bad results, but about having the second weakest offense of the league. 7 points after eleven games doesn't look like an outlier that will soon be corrected. This could a fierce fight until the last day against the relegation zone.

Definitely that's not the case, no one would want to at any point think such because I think every football lover would definitely know that there's a dynamics to these things and it's not about the players been told or controlled to focus more on one league as against the other,it's basically tactics at times.

But some times based on priority, coaches may sometimes try out certain tactics in some of the leagues and wouldn't use same in the others, like the champions league which happens to be very competitive and it's amongst teams drawn from different leagues, definitely the approach will differ from that which will be used in their domestic leagues because there's a pattern that varies across different leagues and that's why sometimes it will look as if focus was redirected.

Facing Lille this could be a very tough test again but they have good momentum so don't let momentum like this be damaged again with a defeat so as much as possible they should try to make this a point even if they can't make 3 points if it's too difficult but they have to force a draw so that their performance does not decline again after gaining momentum.

Lyon might have secured their 1st win this season in their last match against Rennes but it's not enough cause they're still at the very bottom of the league, however they're lucky that the league is not yet close to it's late stages if not they won't have missed being relegated, but I think there's still hope for them to get better this season, well with the way they've performed so far, one would be right to say that a new ownership of the club should be considered, to save the club from failing and strengthening them financially during the January window to help them sign new players and get out of the relegation zone.

Olympic Lyon is not in a good situation at all and they lost many points during this season so far. I was expecting to see better results for this team but unfortunately, in the 11 games, we saw in the French league Olympic Lyon won only one game in the last week against Rennes. Even if Olympic Lyon buys some players during the winter I think this team can't be in the Ligue 1 for the next season with the current situation they have.
