This week has been going on the opposite of my thoughts on the Ligue 1. I expected Nice to win and PSG to lose points. However Nice's performance was really poor against Montpellier. I mean they were really bad at finding the target. Besides Montpellier had a really good performance in the defense line. They managed to keep it at 0-0 until the end.

When it comes to the Reims - PSG match PSG just finished off their opponent by 3-0. Actually Reims were playing decently in the first half. They were nearly answering Mbappe's 1st goal quickly but Ito's goal was disallowed due to offside. They couldn't score a goal in the half despite trying hard. I saw only Ito performing really nicely at Reims.

After that PSG took control of the second half and secured a comfortable win. Mbappe had a wonderful day with a hat-trick indeed.

Many people must have been surprised how Nice played without a goal against Montpellier because their opponent doesn't seem like a team capable of picking up points when facing a team like Nice which is quite stable this season. This is the fifth draw for Nice, which means they have lost 10 points. Good to see Paris Saint Germaine return to a position I think they deserves more than any other club in the French Ligue 1. I said they deserves top spot more than any other club because of the quality of players at their disposal.
The club's most important player Kylian Mbappe once again proved to everyone why he's been regarded as one of the best players in modern day football by scoring a sensational hatrick in that game. From what we all have seen already, I think it's fair to say that PSG are gonna retain the French Ligue 1 title once again.

With this result, I no longer have any doubts. It is clear that PSG is depending on Mbappé. Mbappé deserves to be the best player today. He continuously shines when he doesn't need Messi and Neymar by his side.
However, it seems that coach Luis Enrique is still not satisfied with Mbappé. Enrique wanted more and wanted him to do more. Is this Enrique's greed when there is no praise for his student Mbappé after this hat-trick? In the next transfer season, if Mbappé leaves PSG, I will see what PSG will do to maintain the title of this tournament and what Luis Enrique will do when they lose their center Mbappé.

I feel like it is definitely a thing where they need Mbappe to shine all by himself in order to get what they want out of him, that is an important part of their plan. Because sooner or later for PSG it must be like this, seeing from the situation that occurred for Ligue 1 over the last few seasons that occurred, indeed when there are other clubs that are above PSG, it is just waiting for the fall and PSG can use it as their advantage. Normally PSG should have an easy win, but just like any game of sports, the favorites have a "higher" chance but not guaranteed to win, which means that even though we should probably see PSG to win this game, there is a possibility that they may get a draw or a loss out of this too. I do not believe that will be the case and I am going to bet on them to win this one, they should by all cases win with this much spent on the team, if you spend this much and build such a good squad and still end up losing to much worse teams then why are you even spending that much money to begin with.

PSG is a very tactical team with better chances of securing 3points in a game, they have higher advantage in terms of team quality, stats, fans and favouritism, the game of football has changed over the years and currently a game is unpredictable, a more better team can actually be subdued by a less tactical team. Anything can happen, the team we expect to win may eventually secure a loss to a team that we didn't even envision to win.

 Everything and anything can be twisted in football, therefore it shouldn't surprise us when a bigger team is defeated, PSG can still confidently defeat other teams that they face in subsequent games, even if a bet is placed on PSG, there's still a high probability of it working out, That's actually the level of confidence i have personally for PSG.

Mbappe is a player with a very high level not only in terms of technical ability and athleticism but also his knowledge of the game. If he had gone to Real, Real without a striker could be having a historic season right now. But he chose money and he is a player who only scores goals in Ligue 1 and has no European success. Lyon finished 7th last season but based on the current performance I am not sure they will be able to achieve such result. A club that was a Champions League semi-finalists in 2020 is now struggling to remain win a match. The club's desire now will be to struggle to remain in the Ligue One next season. Fabio Grosso needs more time to build the team so the club need to be patient with him. Lyon's next game will be with Rennes, a team that has not won any game in four matches. A win against Rennes will move Lyon to the seventeenth position that is if Clermont Foot losses it's game against Lorient but a loss will still keep them at the bottom of the league.

Lyon really made it to the victory against Rennes.    But of course it was mostly thanks to the red card Rennes got in the 5th minute already. Lyon were really lucky about it. They played really effective in the first half after but still they couldn't score. Instead they finally scored the winner in the last 30 minutes of the game.

Rennes even started to balance the game in the second half. This shows how desperate situation Lyon are in now. They can't even keep dominance against a team with 10 players for a long time.

But in the end this win should be some help for the players to perform better in the upcoming games. It took them a really long time to win their first game of the season.

As I often say, in the end PSG will take over the top of the standings into their hands. although IMO, this team cannot be said to have achieved an ideal game. In fact, it can't be said to be solid yet. Why, we can refer to the fact that Enrique doesn't have a standard pattern that he relies on, even though he doesn't always have to. Apart from that, every match the coach will definitely rotate some of his players and that's the fact. That's why PSG hasn't been able to appear stable.

For me, it is very natural that this season Reims' defense and goalkeeping may not be as strong as last season because some of the players may be different and on the one hand there must be something that makes the defense decline a little, such as injured players or players who have a history of injury or even players which may be a little old.
Even though it's not like last season, for me, Reims achievements this season are much better and look very consistent.

The first half of the game just ended and neither Marseille or Lens is yet to get a goal I'm this game, lens is playing from home such that will be seen as an advantage on their side but it turns out Marseille is doing very well with their performance so far in the game.

Marseille is a strong and better side normally as they have really been having good performance this season, they started off very well and are currently at the eighth position on the table, while lens is at the ninth and they're both sharing the same points but if any of them wins tonight, then one will definitely go above the other by three points but they are currently on equal points and Marseille looks more likely to win
