Now the coach is in the spotlight, yes it is a risk he must accept, because after all a coach will be the first person in the spotlight if a team performs not as expected.

A manager is hit directly when the team performs poorly. Every club management has a simple option if the manager is not performing well for the club then sacking him and appointing a new manager. Firing a manager and appointing a new manager does not improve the performance of the club. It is an important step for the club to hire a good manager instead of changing managers every season. PSG have done it of late, they have appointed a quality manager and this manager's job is now to improve the club's performance. If Luis Enrique can't improve the club's performance this season, he will try next season because after working with PSG team for a season, he will know which positions to keep and which positions to hire new players. Luis Enrique can certainly change the performance of this team if he is given financial freedom.

Results depend on many variables and there is such a thing called form or shape. There is another thing called luck. On some days it can happen that these variables are to your advantage on others they are not. Mentality and the ability to hold a certain stability within also comes into play. You describe it as if they agree before a game starts that they focus less on that day because it is Ligue 1, and then when they play the Champions League they put their heads together and say 'hey today is Champions League, we need to focus more". Nobody in his right mind thinks that this is how professional football works.

I mean we can't see the same effort in the Ligue 1 despite generally playing against teams that are closer to their level here. I don't want to state it like they are thinking as "Let's give up on the Ligue 1 and shift our focus totally onto the Champions League.". Why would I think like that? 

I want to state it like there is something wrong behind the scenes and they just can't figure it out. I have seen many teams so far which got worse results in their domestic leagues than the Champions League. But they weren't generally this bad in their domestic leagues.

Lens just can't make even a slight progress now. I hope the manager finds a strategy to improve their form in the Ligue 1 too.

You are exaggerating a lot about what PSG is going through this season. PSG is still a solid team that won't fail too quickly in Ligue 1 and also the Champions League. PSG are just 2 points adrift of the Ligue 1 leaders, while they only suffered a shock defeat against Newcastle. Such defeats cannot always be avoided, but perhaps the only truth is that sometimes a team like Newcastle can spring a surprise.

PSG will face Milan today at the Parc des Princes Stadium, taking place in 10 minutes. PSG has a good chance to win their home game and I hope the 3 best French strikers today can be responsible for the best results for their team. On the other hand, PSG lost momentum at the start of the season and they had to struggle again to get back to where they should be. Maybe we will see new competition in the future and it would certainly be very exciting if PSG had another competitor. The reason is that it would be very boring if Ligue 1 was always dominated by PSG for the whole season.

Winning Arsenal was the best moment Lens had in this season's Champion's League because they knew Arsenal was going to be the only team in the group that would likely win all their matches, and if they couldn't get a point against them, they may end up struggling to win other teams. PSV is a team that is very strong to defeat in their own stadium because they are very strong at home. Ok I guess we have a basis here that we both agree on, but just see that we have had some abnormalities recently when it came to teams that played weak in their domestic league while making big steps in international competitions. Sevilla did do the exact same thing last year when they had big problems in La Liga but won the title in the Europa League. West Ham won the Europa Conference League and finished 14. in the Premier League.

I think that Lens is having a bad time, but not that they can't get out of that and play strong again. The results are against them and other teams have experienced that as well.

I'm also not saying it was completely coincidental for Newcastle as they beat PSG 4-1. PSG defended in a bad manner and they completely failed to take advantage of many scoring opportunities, while PSG's defense failed to prevent 4 goals from Newcastle players. Unsatisfactory finishing and Newcastle's good defense caused difficulties for PSG, but this team should have another chance to get ahead of Newcastle.

Today PSG managed to beat Milan with a score of 3-0, while Newcastle lost to Dortmund with a score of 0-1. Newcastle are good in terms of appearance, but they were unlucky today. If I had to choose 2 teams that would qualify for the last 16, then I think Newcastle and PSG are really worthy.

Newcastle lost to Dortmund, they tried their Best but Dortmund had a better defense and so they couldn't get an equalizer, Dortmund now have four points and at the second posiiin their group,. meanwhile PSG won AC Milan 3-0 to my surprise I expected it will be a win but not with such margin and with no goal from AC Milan but then it was a deserving win for PSG.

PSG currently at the top of their group with six point and they now have more chances to qualify for the next round of the UCL as a french representative in the UCL I can say they are doing well and I hope they get far enough, kylian mbappe was exceptional tonight as compared to his performance over the weekend in the Ligue 1

This season seems to be a season that is quite surprising for Lens because it is indeed with a fairly busy schedule that makes them definitely difficult so that this has an impact on performance.
In the current domestic competition they can only win 2 out of 9 matches played and this is clearly inversely proportional to their performance last season which was very good at the beginning and even until the end of the season but I think when their focus begins to narrow imo they can still rise only for now they are still difficult to do that because in the end there are still several competitions they have to live in close proximity.
At the moment it's likely they will still focus on the Champions League regardless of what the final result is but they will definitely use this as their capital to get better but indeed for Ligue 1 I think they can still rise in the middle of the season later.

These are the first clear signs of an up and down season for PSG and their problem eventually won't be that they can't play strong enough, but that they can't play strong consistently enough. This performance against AC Milan had nothing to do or in common with the performance against Newcastle United. They have a great offense and PSG should try everything to reach a higher level of consistency. They have had some small issues in the defense though, which I think on another day may had been punished by AC Milan. But watching the three attackers play their counter attacks is quite fun as they are all damn fast.

Lens performed poorly in the domestic league this season because Lens had to face matches in the Champions League and in the domestic league in almost a short time. different from last season, Lens only focused on matches in the French League 1, so Lens was able to finish in 2nd place.
Having a busy time really affects the performance and drains the stamina of the current Lens players. PSG performed like a professional team in last night's Champions League match. Where going to the next round was a tough equation for PSG, PSG completely blew away AC Milan. Group F was a very tough group in the Champions League and it was difficult to predict which two teams would advance to the next round. Based on the early performances, I had a bit of a guess that AC Milan and Newcastle would go through to the next round, but PSG and Dortmund changed our minds towards the end of the match. PSG group champions and Dortmund in second place and the Champions League journey ends here at Milan and Newcastle.

I love how PSG played against Acmilan today in their UCL game,  at the earlier stages of the season they were inconsistent and it affected them to the point that got embarrassed by Newcastle, they were defeated 4-1 but after the international break it seems the whole squad have rediscovered their form cause they're currently playing very brilliantly and did very well today, i had doubts about them winning before the match started but suprisenly they did a good job and claimed 3points from Acmilan.

 PSG performance today was outstanding I think the players are now getting an understanding amongst themselves, it was their star player that scored the opener goal to boost their morale in the 1st half and the game would had ended in a 4-0 victory if not for Dembele's goal that was cancelled by VAR, PSG really deserved the victory they performed better, dominated mostly and even created more chances.

PSG performed like a professional team in last night's Champions League match. Where going to the next round was a tough equation for PSG, PSG completely blew away AC Milan. Group F was a very tough group in the Champions League and it was difficult to predict which two teams would advance to the next round. Based on the early performances, I had a bit of a guess that AC Milan and Newcastle would go through to the next round, but PSG and Dortmund changed our minds towards the end of the match. PSG group champions and Dortmund in second place and the Champions League journey ends here at Milan and Newcastle.

In the last 3 matches, PSG has played quite well and it seems like there has been a significant change and they have even been quite productive in scoring goals in their last 3 matches.
Indeed, PSG has become better now and the big win over AC Milan has made them even more confident. At first I still didn't believe that PSG had started to really recover because they were only able to win against teams whose quality was below them, but the result was a win against AC MIlan. in the UCL match I think it has proven enough.
