Lens started the season with a very poor performance. In the first 5 matches they lost 4 and drew one match. But they are unbeaten in the last 5 matches. Lens have won three matches and drawn two. The team is playing very well. And not only in Ligue 1, we have seen good performances from Lens in the Champions League as well. They shared points with PSV and Sevilla in the Champions League and beat big teams like Arsenal. So it is easy to understand that the team is in a very good rhythm now. And if this continues, we will soon see the Lens team further up the table.

Nantes won their last two matches. So I thought the Lens vs Nantes match would be very competitive. But in this match we only saw the dominance of Lens due to the excellent performance of Lens. Nantes' performances have been erratic, but this team is strong enough.

At the early stages of the season they were underperforming and left everyone wondering what was wrong with the team however it seems they rediscovered their form and are currently doing very well recently, even though they're not very consistent in winning but atleast they've not lost their last 5 league matches they won 3 and drew 2, there performance yesterday against Nantes was very impressive and i was surprised to see that they scored up to 4 goals without any reply from Nantes.

This was their 3rd win in Ligue 1 this season, after they struggled so much at the start of the season that they were knocked off the top of the table. Lens scored their third goal in the 72nd minute from a penalty chance. Nantes' players continue to attack but are unable to capitalize. Thank Goodness Kylian Mbappe was around to save them for trouble. I was beginning to question their consistency. Though that win was from the penalty, good he was able to score after missing the penalty.

I've said it on many occasions here in this thread that if Paris Saint Germaine are playing at their best, it is almost impossible for any French club to stop them and that their poor start to the French Ligue 1 season was because of the fact that the club's manager Luis Enrique was yet to find the best playing pattern for the French champions.
Playing away against Brest this afternoon, PSG overcame their opponents resistance and took all three points from the game thanks to two goals from their talisman Kylian Mbappe who's been scoring goals for fun lately. The win takes them to just one point behind league leaders Nice who win their game yesterday.
