I feel Nice will stay at the top for quite a long time and they will continue to dominate the top of the standings until the middle of the season. In this match, it looked like Nice had a good defense so that none of Rennes' chances resulted in goals. Moreover, Rennes fell even further when Nice got an additional lead after one of the Rennes players scored an own goal. This match looked fierce considering the referee issued 2 red cards to each player from both teams. This victory is very important to keep their distance from PSG who continue to trail them in 2nd place in the standings.

Monaco won again at home after beating Brest with a score of 2-0. In this match it was clear that Monaco actually played quite evenly with Brest but they had more chances with 6 shots on target and while Brest they were only able to get 1 shot on target. The first half of Monaco's lead was opened by Zakaria and in the second half it was closed by the winning goal from Golovin in the 69th minute. Brest was unable to catch up with the goal and they even had to lose one player in the final minute due to receiving a second yellow card after fouling a Monaco player. This is an important victory after Monaco lost last week against Lille and this result keeps Monaco stuck in 3rd place with 23 points and has a difference of 1 to 2 points from PSG and Nice.

Gladly I was right about this match and Monaco won the game however it was not hard at all to predict this match.
However the performance of Monaco could be even better than this, I think if they didn't lose some points and they had a good performance like this game in their previous games, they could easily be on top of the table like Nice.

Their consistency in Ligue 1 this season is still very much intact as not only are they currently at the top but to date they are the only club yet to taste defeat which makes this a very good thing for Nice.
Looking at some of the matches they will do now actually if they still perform like this then most likely 3 points can still be achieved but what I worry about for some clubs like this is erratic consistency.
In the big leagues such as La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1 there are currently some clubs that can be said to be surprises such as Girona for La Liga, VFB Stuttgart for the Bundesliga and Nice for Ligue 1 but over time now Stuttgart has experienced problems and it is not impossible that clubs like Nice and Girona in La Liga will also be the same because however making some buzz at the beginning of the season is not a guarantee that they can be consistent until the end of season.

I feel Nice will stay at the top for quite a long time and they will continue to dominate the top of the standings until the middle of the season. In this match, it looked like Nice had a good defense so that none of Rennes' chances resulted in goals. Moreover, Rennes fell even further when Nice got an additional lead after one of the Rennes players scored an own goal. This match looked fierce considering the referee issued 2 red cards to each player from both teams. This victory is very important to keep their distance from PSG who continue to trail them in 2nd place in the standings.

They're playing well, but I personally doubt if they can keep it up. The reason I say that is because their forward line isn't very productive. They might be able to pick up points against opponents with a fragile defnse, but what I'm worried about is when they come up against a club with a strong defense, because they'll definitely have more trouble scoring goals. I don't think having a good defense is enough, because to win the game they need to create goals to take the lead. There has to be a balance between the front line, midfield and back line.

 The only threat to PSG this season is Nice, so far they're the most outstanding team in the Ligue one cause they've kept an unbeaten run since the beginning of this season, and they're the only team that ate yet to be beaten,  however if they fail to win today if would give PSG who are at the top of the currently an advantage in the title race.

The thing is PSG is probably going to win the league title this season. After all, they are definitely the best team in this league. But to be honest no one actually cares about that anymore. People only care about them being able to win the Champions League title. Because people know that they are going to win the league title without too much problem because they do not have much competition. As you said the only threat right now seems to be Nice. I am pretty sure PSG is going to overcome that, even though they are in the second position right now, and Nice is in the first.

If PSG can sustain the level they momentarily have although I am talking only about the last 2 or 3 weeks, I believe that they can hurt some of the strong teams in the Champions League. Last season they were up a against Bayern Munich, which was in relatively good form although not their best, but Bayern Munich played two solid games and won deservedly. But if Bayern Munich has one of those days when the struggle, the strong attacking line of PSG could break through and score several goals.

I don't think PSG could beat Real Madrid or Manchester City in two games in total. Maybe at home, but in the away game I wouldn't see much of a chance for them.

I would say that it is going to be quite impossible for them if they keep playing like this, but they could also get better, in a situation where they are playing all those big clubs at UCL, that would be at least months and months away, not only we are not even out of group stages, which will take some time, but we are talking about last 16 which they shouldn't face with those teams normally, we do not really know to be fair but they may not, not sure.

So all in all, I would guess that quarter finals could be the first games where they could meet against some bigger clubs, and that is still a lot of months away. So, PSG could get better until then and we should keep that in mind when we are making estimations and predictions.

Usually, PSG wins the French League and there is not any competitor for them and winning the French League is something we are sure about it but still, they are not strong in the Champions League and usually, PSG fails to earn achievements there.

Yes indeed, at least Rennes can play well in this match too, although Rennes is playing away but Rennes also has a good effort to be able to get points in this match. That's very interesting, everyone is looking forward to PSG success in the Champions League, without ignoring Ligue 1 at this time. If it's not an exaggeration, even though PSG is playing badly and looks unstable in Ligue 1, in the end they are like guaranteed to win a trophy at the end of the season. everyone spotlight on PSG is only in the UCL competition, which is still a big question mark as to whether they will be able to achieve it in the near future.

During this season Nice has indeed become quite strong team getting more wins without losing and at worst ending in draw.
There are only two teams that can beat Nice namely Monaco and PSG but at their meeting at the start of this season Nice was still able to beat these two teams, it just that PSG is getting better day by day with the quality of play being consistent.

And because the league is still long there is possibility that Nice will fall if some problems occur but no one knows when it will happen.

Every season we see several teams competing for the title at the beginning of the season, but in the end, PSG is the champion. This season seems to be the same. The Nice and Monaco teams have been performing quite well so far. But personally I don't think Nice have the ability to win the title. Because Nice has managed to maintain consistency so far though. They are doing very well and are at the top of the points table. However, Nice's attacking performance is poor. The team managed to score only 13 goals in 11 matches. Monaco, on the other hand, have a chance to grab top spot in the table if they can win against Lille in their last match. But Monaco missed the opportunity. For these reasons I think we will see PSG at the top of the table in the next few weeks.

Last season will not be much different from this season because PSG is still one of the strongest teams that is difficult for other teams in Ligue 1 to compete with. Compared to Monaco, Nice is still one of the best because they have not been defeated until the 11th match and Nice too managed to beat PSG with a much more effective level of play. Nice's upcoming match will face Montpellier as a bottom team so it will be easy for them to win the match.

PSG will visit Reims' headquarters after playing a match in the Champions League and Reims is also one of the challengers for the top five positions in the standings which is currently ranked fourth. Automatically the match between the two will be much tougher for PSG and if they are not able to handle it well then Nice will have a slight advantage in the upcoming match.

where did you see that if lyon was losing in this week? I don't even see that. LYON was getting draw against metz. There's no lose for lyon now. I think that you are wrongly seeing a wrong match, right?
Rennes is far stroger than metz but i doubt that if lyon will able to win against rennes. I would like to bet on rennes instead of lyon. The draw against metz was enough to make me distrust lyon.

Lyon will continue its bad trend till it will be relegated to the lower division. It needs a miracle to make lyon goes back up again. Lyon can hope to get early goal against rennes to get three points or its chance to go up and leave from relegation zone will be zero.
Im starting to be a bit pessimistic with the performance from lyon.

My expectations for this team were never high, as I didn't anticipate them playing as well as more established clubs. It's so fantastic to see how nice is keep consistently winning the game. The competition becoming tougher than before has automatically created pressure for PSG to step up their game and perform at a higher level.
The amount of dedication and effort that Enrique is putting into pushing his team to improve is truly commendable, and it appears that his efforts are finally yielding positive results. The performance from PSG is quite better even without mbappe. This is a huge progress being made by enrique at this moment.

The problem is that draws can already mean failure if they accrue too many of them. This situation of Olympic Lyon is truly deplorable. I feel very sorry for the fans. It must be a big problem for its fans that a team that once left its mark on the French league is in this position. A team that dreams of the Champions League should not be in last place in the league. I think they should definitely win against Rennes. Now is the time to recover.
